the sand sneks plot was more important
Dragonforce
He might as well have been absent for most of Season 8
Hell he didn't do anything in 7 other than tell Sam about Jon and tell Sansa he watched her get raped
baste
Reminder Dragonstone had nobody on it for three seasons.
>Murdering your lover's brother (and rightful ruler) and nephew is no biggie
What did D&D mean by this?
Very based.
Reminder that the Reach, the most populous region of the kingdom, got depopulated in-between season.
Reminder the stormlands did not have a lord for 3 seasons
My favorite moment this season was when tyrion said "who has a better story, than bran the broken", and this guy burst out laughing along with everyone else. Love that moment
>fAegon, Dany, Bran
Are these the unholy trinity of shitty reddit plots?
>fAegon
>shitty
>who has a better story than bran the broken
Having a good story isn't enough though, you also need to be a good storyteller.
Bran is completely apathetic and has a boring monotonous voice.
Tyrion is a much better story teller, even if his stories are probably worse
Your show is over faggots quit your gay neberals

>could’ve had a unique ending remembered for generations
>decide to squeeze in some fairy tale bullshit at the end that no one gave a fuck about
Why would anyone waste time watching this, when LOTR did that shit better ages ago
She's cute!
The show sucked so bad have to cope by shitposting
quando quando quando~
Still can't believe they hinted at resurrection then didn't take it anywhere...her return would have been glorious.
>jon mad targ genes boil and he accepts dany's offer
>both dies trying to conquer the world as the mad dragon couple
>could’ve had a unique ending remembered for generations
This entire season was the most disappointing ending I've ever seen. Even worse than Dexter. We could have had at least had an ok ending, but I wasn't expecting the worst ending ever.
Yes
Am I in /got/ or /ecg/
>Tryion is trying to get Jon to kill Dany because his ass in gonna die for being a traitor
>brings up Jon's sisters
Remind me again when Dany has ever threaten Sansa or Arya? This never once happened in the show and Sansa said like three times she bends the knee to Dany.
One of the bigger disappointments of my life so far, desu. And my life is one of them
we are one, now
Can you seething Stannis fags just fuck off?
Umbrella Academy
>LOTR ending
I thought I couldn't hate this shit any more I didn't even realize it's a fucking lotr ripoff at the end
That would actually subvert my expectations
We need to make this but switch it with D&D
She also never threatened Jon or showed any sign of wanting to take him out, but Tyrion also implied he was next
both
>That would actually subvert my expectations
Jon not killing dany would have been the ultimate subvert. It would have been epic. But instead we got the shitty retarded ending with the council bullshit.
Fuck this fucking show.
>but Tyrion also implied he was next
Tryion would say that when his ass is next on the chopping block.
Not a stannisfag, just able to recognize that fAegon is a lame character clearly set up to get btfo
its off season and these threads are barely moving except for the /ecg/ faggots spamming
are you redditors finally going to fuck off quietly or you just holding out until the mods nuke you for good?

no, keep being a little bitch in these threads though

Cutest psycho!
So ultimately what was the point of the white walkers? If you can answer me this simple question, I will give this season a 10/10 rating on imdb
what housefag are you? greyjoyfag here
Brought fire and ice together or something
take revenge on their creators from 10000 years ago or something like that
You know what? I'm gonna say it.
I appreciate the dany fags.
D&D kinda forgot about the White Walkers plot
filled a few minutes
Targ all the way. All other houses can suck cock.
>what was the point of the white walkers?
to inject some action into a boring story
For me it's house Hightower.

Targfag. Aegon's empire was better than the squabbling kingdoms of Westeros that preceded it (a pity he was not able to conquer Dorne and twice a pity that his successors lost the throne which broke it all up into smaller kingdoms to wage war on each other)

Can’t wait for TWOW to come out and Aegon takes the throne and Dany is seething but never gets to do anything about it because ADOS will never be released. Danyfags, freecucks and all Targaryen fucking shits btfo.
Can someone explain how Danys ending is even remotely acceptable or why burning down an enemy city was considered at all important?
Lets consider StarCraft - Kerrigan turned billions of people into bug monsters yet she became a hero goddess and reunited with Jim at the end.
Dany got stabbed by her love in spite of all she did. She was the true victim of the story.
relax my dude, with all that stress you may get a aneurysm
>Jon staring at Dany as she gives speech
>Dragon roar heard in the distance
>Injured rhaegal returns and lands behind Jon
Kino
Based. Stannis’s bff lives on to fill his bro’s role as master of ships and calling everyone else on the small council retarded. Best part of the ending.
Sasuga ESL-kun
This. What did George mean by this? Only one or two kingdoms cared and some foreigners and the problem is solved and all is well after it affected people no one really gave a shit about and all resolved at relatively little cost in terms of human lives

Also brianne of tarth is a femcel as well gods this show had some excellent pure tom boys with the worst girls been sluts both in the show and irl
I can't believe i spent all day in these threads with you losers.
Dany literally namedrops Winterfell as one of the places she intends to 'liberate' in her Nazi speech, there's your threat.
Reminder that s8 had the most kino Dany outfits.
Hell, the camera even pans to Jon with ominous music when she says this.
It's ambiguous. Could just be naming geography to convey size
>literally fights on the frontline, wielding a weapon for the first time in her life, to defend the innocent
two episodes later
>burn them all
>be me
>26 year old NEET
>spend all day in GoT general shitposting
>get job on Monday, actually given an office
>left alone for 5 minutes
>take out phone and come to these threads
Fuck those Flea-Bottom shits. They had their chance to leave. They didn't. Let them burn.
weren't they the same as S7?
Reminder the show is not canon.
I don’t see how GRRM could get that far. He couldn’t even wrap up jackshit in ADWD.
I can’t hate characters just for D&D’s hack writing. I’m just going with the optimistic assumption that he might end up in the same spot in the hypothetical books.
Are you me?
S7 had some good ones, too.
>greyjoyfag
Do you enjoy being buttraped or cock-slapped?
patrician taste
Nailed it!
>literally fights on the frontline, wielding a weapon for the first time in her life, to defend the innocent
she was just defending herself you moron
For me, it's house Baratheon.
Jon can't understand High Valyrian, neither can Tyrion, they have no idea what the fuck she's saying or the context. They best they have is that it sounds evil which is ridiculous cause you can say that about any speech in a foreign tongue
That was me exactly in 2013 but worse because I was 28
I thought Tyrion speaks some High Valyrian
these threads are getting more and more reddit, they are honestly painful to read
18 months ago I had a steady job in Midtown but until recently I was a NEET because I drank it all away
Have sex
In that case, Dany and Tyrion have that scene where they discuss Sansa conspiring in regards to Jon's lineage. Either way, Dany wasn't going to leave Winterfell/Sansa alone given time.
arryn
pretty based
No, he's shit at it as he's demonstrated in Meereen and the scene episode 5 where he tries to speak to the Unsullied to get to Jaime
Remember when Jon was cool?
>no NK 1x1
>his dragon is dead
>kills dany after a imp in the death block tells him to
>doesn't become king
>only has 5 lines in S8
She was defending Jorah, hence why he died.
Checked. But so? They still bent the knee already and "Winterfell is yours" jon is also still on Dany's side and keeping the North on her side
House Arryn
If she only cared about herself she'd just run back to essos, or hide in the crypt
Jon and Dany are best couple
Jaime and Brienne are second
>dany was defending Jorah

>Jon and Dany are best couple
Nah, fuck Jon, he didn't deserve her. His 21st century western morals and npc behavior fucked everything up
Book Jon is based, also pre-S8 Jon wouldn't have killed Dany
In D&D's mind, they ran out of time. If we had competent writers, we'd at LEAST have another full season of Queen Dany, and people (including Sansa) conspiring against her. As it stands, we're left with a bunch of unfulfilled plotlines that had their heads cut off in the last hour of the show.
based grieving bro
>In D&D's mind, they ran out of time. If we had competent writers, we'd at LEAST have another full season of Queen Dany,
you dont understand shit, this is what GRRM intended to do from the start, he loves the 'Scouring of the Shire' which is the penultimate chapter from LOTR. This is his version
It's meant as a last minute revelation that the person you thought of as a hero isnt actually that heroic after all, i mean who would have thought right?
a slow build up to just show Dany as the sociopathic meglomaniac she always was would objectively be shitty writing
>ahem
This ending is nothing like the scouring. That comparison is retarded.
Aren't you guys sick of talking about this yet? Seeing /got/ on the catalog depresses me. There's nothing more to say about the show. Everything that's been said, has been said a million times.
But it failed since most people still like Dany. Dany is heroic, you can be "evil" and be heroic - by every measure she is "heroic".
This is nothing close to scouring of the Shire

Literally everyone in Westeros who's heard of her including Quentyn. Even in the show you had Cersei and Randyl straight up call her a monster leading a savage army to do bad shit and they were right apparently. Where's the grey?
And how is this scouring? That's about going back home to find everything has changed, will never be the same and you changed too. This ending just says fear mongering is correct and foreign armies you regard as barbarians really are just savage barbarians and you should kill them and quickly move on to your happy life before they fuck shit up
>This is nothing close to scouring of the Shire
>This ending is nothing like the scouring. That comparison is retarded.
honestly im positive the iq of the average /got/ poster is sub 90. literal morons
>Khal hears you insulting his wife
>15 minutes later
The Scouring of the shire isn't a second climax though. It's more meant to highlight the change in the hobbit characters after they've gone through their terrible ordeals, and the only real loose end it ties up is Saruman
Yagami Light anyone?
i miss viserys lads..
see The point of the scouring is to show the far-reaching effects of war, directly (through the ways the hobbits have changed) and indirectly (through the shire itself getting fucked up.) It's supposed to show that isolationism isn't viable.
His actor looked like more book Jon than Kit Harington

im not saying that 'The Bells' is just a GRRM recreate of Scouring its just that he loves the idea of that once the bigbad is defeated everything isn't automatically good again. Threats still remain and often they are human and close to home

If the bells is GRRM's version of the scouring then he does not understand the scouring

Sansa and Daenerys
>bigbad is defeated everything isn't automatically good again. Threats still remain and often they are human and close to home
Except after the Others came Cersei who'd been a villain to everyone since the beginning then Dany goes nuts to be the villain right after then once they kill her literally everything is okay, everyone us happy, gets a Disney ending, moves on and cooperates even.
George is a hack who doesn't know what the fuck he's doing or doesn't get what he's writing

It has almost nothing in common with the scouring, thematically or otherwise. If it's such a stretch then why make the comparison at all?
>It has almost nothing in common with the scouring, thematically or otherwise
it literally does thematically but you're just too retarded to understand
Fuck that Dany-beating shitheel.
>Bran wants a master of war
How can we be so sure it was a happy ending? It feels ominous.
Myranda and Reek.
Reek can stand and watch.
Can he see the future? I genuinely don’t understand, nor do I understand why the Night King would need him dead before everyone else
Was Leto II a good ruler? Was the Emperor of mankind a good ruler?
God king Bran is gonna be a much bigger tyrant than Dany could ever hope to be. The people of Westeros can wave goodbye to free will and just freedom in general.
>I genuinely don’t understand
Neither does anyone else.
>Also searching for Drogon
>Sister helps get him into power then immediately annexes The North
How is no one seeing this as an ominous Stark coupe.

>Wants to liberate people
>Breaker of chains
>Muh free world
>Omg slavery is sooo bad you guys
>STILL supports feudalism, which is basically slavery with a few asterisks
Someone explain this to me. How is she not the biggest fucking hypocrit?
I don't think bran cares about the greater good of humanity or anything like that, seems like he just set the country up for failure by appointing the most incompetent people he could find to do his ruling for him, and created the most unstable political situation he could, he's more just a troll
Since when did Dany support feudalism, she sounds like she's creating an absolute monarchy
Didn't she make Gendry lord of the Stormlands, implying she's going to continue the feudal system in Westeros?
Because she has a different understanding of words like "free" or "liberate".
To her, being free is simply the opposite of being a slave.
For example, the Unsullied are free. Even though by modern standards, they are just bluepilled armycucks following their (((master's))) warmongering efforts
>Since when did Dany support feudalism
Since she appointed Gendry Baratheon as lord of the Stormlands
LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY
What if this was the Children's revenge. Bran manipulated people so Dany would go crazy and ruin her chances of creating a Golden Age in Westeros and preventing further war. And now by creating an elective monarchy, hiring the worst small council possible, placing an Old God in charge of Seven worshipping kingdoms, and giving the North away, Bran has guaranteed that humanity will continue killing each other off, waging war on each other and being divided. Meanwhile Drogon is out there killing and doing anything he wants which lends to even more chaos as some random person can one day ride him and cause more death and destruction
At least dany got do some some cool shit this season before she died, Jon got neutered
Tyrells are pretty neat
>a marriage wouldn't work, they said
>Growing Strong

Lannister
Didn't GRRM say that taking on climate change requires making sacrifices that, if successful, benefit those who didn't take action, at your expense? I think that's the point being made by having Cersei benefit from not doing anything about the Walkers
>dany im rhaegal son lol
>wtf jon they will want you in the throne instead of me
>chill lets just marry
That makes more sense than what we got but it's not what they were trying to convey, they were trying to say that humans are bad and the only good ruler there can be is something inhuman
Bran and Dani
from season 1
Tyrells are based. Stay mad
>tfw
The fact that they filmed them discussing it in ep2 and cut it makes it even worse.
There's no way they could write it to make sense so they just dropped it so people wouldn't think about it
This is a show where Cersei can kill extremely popular public figures with zero consequences and declare herself Queen despite having zero claim. This is a show where Bran can be voted King and Sansa can secede from the Seven Kingdoms within the span of 15 minutes. But Jon abdicating to Dany and settling for King-Consort cannot possibly work.
D&D are truly hacks.
The rendition of the main theme playing as she walked up to the throne was nice.
>The fact that they filmed them discussing it in ep2 and cut it makes it even worse.
Source? I'm genuinely curious.
>Didn't GRRM say that taking on climate change requires making sacrifices that, if successful, benefit those who didn't take action, at your expense
i highly doubt george would say something that stupid
So George's answer to what was Aragorn's tax policy is that he should've hired a hivemind with access to the world's history and every moment till present? What a hack
B A R A T H E O N
Jon is abusive
I actually don't remember where I read that, I'll dig a bit more. In the meantime enjoy something even worse.
>In terms of the plot, the biggest conversation is Jon telling Dany the truth about who he is. Why would he reveal this extremely upsetting bit of information on the eve of battle?
I can tell you why: I don’t think he was going to … and she showed up. [Laughs.] He’s avoiding her the entire episode! But the problem is that Jon’s got no poker face. Jon would admit this! That makes me love him.
>Down there [in the crypt], he’s processing, and Dany found him, and then there’s no avoiding it. What’s he going to do? Make up an excuse and walk out? She opens that door. She knows there’s something on his fucking mind. She starts talking about [her late brother] Rhaegar and this perception that Rhaegar is a rapist. Jon’s got to do it. He’s a fundamentally honest person and he loves her, so there’s no other choice.
>So yeah, bad timing. But guess what? Life is full of bad times. He probably should have stayed in his room. [Laughs.]
vulture.com
Yes, d&d couldn't really commit to that fully since it's such a nihilist hunk of shit so they shoehorned in an unrealistic Disney ending for the characters and obscured Bran's character as much as possible
Uhm b-but what if people found out they're aunt and nephew?
I mean, the fact that Joffrey was a product of incest was a huge deal and basically started the war of the five kings, so you know..
what don't you get?
Fuck. This just makes me sad guys
To be fair regarsing cersei tommen dying were the consequences for that. It is totally unrealistic though since she would actually look like she killed him to usurp the throne
>every single reaction to Jon's Targ heritage is cut at the most convenient moment
>claim to the throne isn't even brought up at the Lords' meeting
BRAVO D&D
Aunt-nephew isn't incest in Westeros
Jon could just deny it if "he dun wan it". Theres no proof of it, realistically it would just come off as a northern plot to most people and he's be a bastard anyway
Yes it is. Aunts and nephews are very closely related
North niggas married their aunts/cousins all the fucking time
I read that, too, but in defense of Cogman, he just had to hit D&D's plot points.
It is bizarre that Jon didn't intend to tell Dany, but he absolutely HAD to tell Sansa and Arya. What shitty fucking writing that was.
>To be fair regarsing cersei tommen dying were the consequences for that.
And she got over it in one episode. The show has some really fucking bizarre justifications for why the obvious outcome doesn't happen. Cersei would have been killed within a week of the Sept exploding, maybe even in a day. Bran would never have been elected King because a prisoner said so, and Sansa would never have been allowed to secede without the other kingdoms seceding, too. The logical conclusion of Jon and Dany simply taking their dragons to The Red Keep and burning it to the ground, marrying, then assuming rule can never happen, because Varys says so.
I don’t even want to think about how much I spent over the years on handles of shitty vodka. Even drinking the cheapest shit adds up. I could have been drinking beer with my friends at normal places but I actually chose to sit in my house every night and drink, most of the time while posting on /got/. When those first four episodes of season five leaked I was unemployed and for weeks I would watch those episodes and post on /got/ until I passed out every day, leaving only to the liquor store and to pick up some food in the morning. I could never remember what happened especially after the second one because I would be so drunk and distracted so it would seem new for the most part. I do remember finally staying awake long enough, while still totally intoxicated, to get to the Stannis and Shireen scene from 5x04 and getting all emotional and actually tearing up do do all the booze and depression.
>Yes it is
No it's not. Starks married uncle to niece, Iron Islands had Aeron wanna marry Asha to Victarion which got Victarion aroused, and a Karstark was gonna marry her "uncle" and only objected cause he planned to kill her after and get their Lord, who's her brother, killed

>Uhm b-but what if people found out they're aunt and nephew?
Nobody gives a shit, dumbass.
>Yes it is. Aunts and nephews are very closely related
It's not considered incest in Westeros.
>The two main religions practiced in the Seven Kingdoms, the Faith of the Seven and the old gods, consider incest to be a vile sin.[2][3] However in Westeros incest is only applied if father lays with daughter, mother lays with son, or brother to sister, and the children of such unions are considered abominations.[4] In marriage customs, it is acceptable and in fact quite common among the nobility for cousins to wed. Examples include Tywin and Joanna Lannister (first cousins),[5] Paxter Redwyne and Mina Tyrell (first cousins),[6] Viserys I Targaryen and Aemma Arryn (first cousins),[7] and Rickard and Lyarra Stark (first cousins once removed).[8] The exact degree of relations are unknown in the marriages of Jon and Rowena Arryn, Shella and Walter Whent,[9] Benfrey and Jyanna Frey,[10] and Alys and Jared Frey.[10] Further, a marriage has been proposed between Robert Arryn and Sansa Stark (first cousins),[11] to which the degree of common ancestry was not an objection.
>Jonnel became the Lord of Winterfell after the death of his father, Cregan. Jonnel married twice, to Robyn Ryswell and his niece Sansa Stark, but neither marriage had issue. He was succeeded by his brother, Barthogan Stark, as Lord of Winterfell.[1]
>Lady Serena Stark was the eldest daughter of Rickon Stark, heir to Lord Cregan Stark, and Jeyne Manderly. She was married twice, once to Jon Umber, but no issue; and once to her half-uncle Edric Stark, with whom she had four children: twin sons Cregard and Torrhen and daughters Aregelle and Arrana Stark.[2]
Jon being so put-off by incest and Varys's claim that Northerners don't practice it, are lies invented by D&D to justify their shitty writing.
>all the fucking time
Woah there... No need to curse.. this is a Christian website
Imagine if he'd never told her, but still told the other Starks. That'd be an actual betrayal from Dany's perspective, and she'd have a real reason to threaten them, giving him a real reason to kill her.
Fuck off and stop trying to get us banned faggot
I agree cersei was kept alive by plot armor and it makes no sense at all but she's a more sympathetic character than she's made out to be
>This. Makes Jon look even worse, so he just planned to ghost her, avoid her, never talk to her meanwhile everyone on his side knows about it. Holy shit, they massacred Jon
They even put Jon on Dragonstone in episode 5 for no reason other than to make him act out of character. The story literally would not have changed at all if he went straight to King's Landing, because the battle plans weren't even discussed with him on Dragonstone.
All that scene on Dragonstone did was make Jon look like a complete asshole and it reversed his established characterization from not even ten episodes ago.
I'm crying, lads. They ruined my boy. He barely even got to fucking fight. What a goddamn waste.
Which betrayal was the third treason for love? Jon telling his siblings/cousins even though Dany begged him not to? Tyrion setting Jaime free? Jon killing her?
>I agree cersei was kept alive by plot armor and it makes no sense at all but she's a more sympathetic character than she's made out to be
Cersei was a sympathetic character to the audience in maybe the first 2 or 3 seasons. Cersei was hated by the people of King's Landing for years. The rumors about incest between her and Jaime were being spread everywhere. And then she blows up the Vatican, and the only person who cares is Olenna Tyrell.
>Which betrayal was the third treason for love?
Jon telling his siblings/cousins even though Dany begged him not to.
D&D aren't thinking about that prophecy shit
I spent a lot of time in these threads since the seasons started but I still regret not shitposting more with you all during these last few weeks, it will never be the same again, and the general is already dying.
Do you think they'll let us revive it for TWOW?
DID YOU HEAR THE ANONS? THIS THREAD IS TOO SHIT FOR THIS BOARD
BRING THE BOBBYPOSTING FOLDER
can't have another fucking white male hero. times up.
Her getting paraded in the streets naked getting shit thrown at her makes it pretty sympathetic when she blows them all up desu
I honestly think D&D hate Jon. Like they want to or have to hit certain plot points and favor other characters so they fulfill shit in the worst possible way to make Jon look like shit
All the times he's had to be rescued, Sansa getting the Vale, Arya getting the kill, Dany and her army having nothing to do with finally taking out the dead, Dany going crazy. They even had Jon say he bent the knee because it was that or death even though Dany offered to fight with him without him bending the knee
AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH
SAVE ME ARYA
Seriously kys
They definitely hate Kit. I'm pretty sure Emilia turned one of or both of them down at some point so they resent the fact that she actually hooked up with him.
Why couldn’t they just get married ...

Who ever would have imagined that when Jon fought the white walkers at Hardhome that would be he peak of his fight against them. What in the fuck.

No, we'll just make threads pretending to discuss the show and post about TWOW there.
Oddly enough, Arya wouldn't have been able to do shit to the Mountain in a straight up fight, despite all the bullshit D&D pulled.
And then the show lets Sansa get all the credit for what Littlefinger did, then tells us how smart she is despite her doing next-to-nothing intelligent in the last two seasons. Then she gets to be Queen in the North simply by asking.
Girl power!
AZOR ARYAHAI
See and
They put ONE prophecy into the show, Cersei's children dying, and do nothing with it.
If they had kept the miscarriage in making her go insane, it would have made sense. She nearly beats the prophecy but when she still loses her baby she loses her mind.
>They put ONE prophecy
And Mirri's thing about drogo. Might count Melisandre's eyes thing too
The eye thing wasn't a prophecy it was a retcon asspull
IMO Cersei becoming queen is where the show went downhill. There’s just no way Westeros would stomach a publicly hated Lannister as ruler; her son and daughter being poisoned, and her other son and daughter dying in accidents would just look ridiculously suspicious.
Her whole walk of atonement makes it clear that the incest story spread by Stannis is pretty widely believed. Plus, people would hate her for all the awful shit Joffrey did.
The Night King really was a better final villain. The only actual surprising thing Cersei did on the last two seasons was agreed to help to fight the dead which, of course, was a lie, and she remained crazy for the sake of crazy.
She was supposed to be sympathetic at one point because she was acting in the interests of her children but they’re all dead.
The idea that she’s somehow gonna come out on top despite The Night King AND Dany’s dragons AND the entire North in open revolt can’t be attempted to be believed.
Once The Night King entered the scene, everything else was just too low stakes and nobody ever actually fought Dany, they just furrowed their eyebrows in consternation and assassinated her when her guard was down.
They had Azor Ahai and the Prince that was Promised too.
>They put ONE prophecy into the show, Cersei's children dying, and do nothing with it.
They also brought back MMD's prophecy in seasons 6 and 7 and then they ignored it entirely in season 8.
>Might count Melisandre's eyes thing too
That was a show invention that was retconned into meaning that Arya would kill the Night King (who didn't even exist yet in the context of writing the show).
Well they retconned it to be true so as far as the show is concerned it counts
They did originally have her having a miscarriage in s7, idk why they changed it since her whole storyline makes no sense without it, I honestly think they rewrote the whole season 8 but don't know why
Based and DBS tier list pilled.
Remember when Dany were supposed to be pregnant due to Jon's magic dick
In George’s world, there’s incest, and then there’s incest.
The original submitted outline to his Agent and Publishers had a Jon/Arya romance which was tragic and forbidden since they were brother and sister. But then the reveal of Jon’s heritage makes them just cousins or, in other words, perfectly fine.
>They did originally have her having a miscarriage in s7, idk why they changed it since her whole storyline makes no sense without it, I honestly think they rewrote the whole season 8 but don't know why
Cersei having a miscarriage was in the scripts, but they removed it for no reason at the last second.
I definitely think D&D wanted to do something with it in season 8, but changed their mind--just like with Dany and her infertility.
>calling a boar puerco
That was definitely a dropped plotline, Jon is definitely getting Dany pregnant in the books though
>I could have been drinking beer with my friends at normal places but I actually chose to sit in my house every night and drink
I did this, but mainly because it was such a shitshow whenever I went out it was safer to drink alone.
>but don't know why
Avoid repetition since Dany was supposed to be pregnant, and to make Cersei sympathetic and around cause they love Lena and Tyrion has to be a saint trying to keep her alive against all odds culminating in him realizing how fucked up Dany is because of what a threat she is to his sister and what happens to Cersei.
They probably realized having Dany be pregnant would make Jon killing her too much, they'd have to write more scenes talking about the pregnancy, reactions to it, Jon would need to talk to her seriously, ghosting her would look more assholish and have to explain the Mirri thing and how it might've been fulfilled, whuch they'd refuse to do cause they're bad writers
they kinda forgot about it
Cast members of HBO's "Game of Thrones", who had just finished a day of shooting on location for the 4th season in Dubrovnik, Croatia, were walking to the beach when they stumbled upon a burgeoning house fire. A small child was reportedly seen inside the home, attempting to escape the blaze. The child, not tall enough to reach the handle of the front door, resorted to banging on the front door in futility. When actor Charles Dance attempted to rescue the child, he was stopped by Stephen Dillane (Stannis) who reportedly said "The flames have taken him. The Lord of Light demands this sacrifice". His fellow cast mates, bewildered, continued to watch as the house was consumed in fire. Actress Emilia Clarke (Khaleesi) reached for her cellphone to call the fire department, but reports that Liam Cunningham (Davros) snatched the phone away from her and chucked it into the blaze. Carice van Houten (Melisandre) was reported to be chanting "The night is dark and full of terrors". By the time local authorities arrived, it was too late. Dillane, Cunningham, and van Houten were reportedly seen hours later outside the burned home, wearing red robes and screaming "R'HLLOR HUNGERS" at the parents of the deceased child.
Cersei instead does almost nothing in season 8, killing Missandei is the only thing. She’s one of the main antagonists for most of the series and she does fucking nothing
Jon is killing Dany in the books to make Lightbringer too, not because she has killed some Lannisters
kek
>Cersei instead does almost nothing in season 8, killing Missandei is the only thing. She’s one of the main antagonists for most of the series and she does fucking nothing
We all know she had no business making it this far in the first place. Bronn was even worse.
Bronn was a holdover from the plot they killed when they cut Cersei's miscarriage.
Its not possible to govern Westeros with a truly central government as its just too big and too diverse.
Dany (as the good monarch we know up until 8x04) would likely implement a slightly more absolute form of feudalism.
As Joffrey of all people wanted lords outside the remote North would not have their own armies (in the North impossible to stop them from being semi independent as even Cersei pointed out). This would reduce civil wars in the future. As the fanatics of the seven wanted the court system would be made independent of the feudal lords and people would stand a better chance of actually being treated fairly by the legal system.
She would likely reinstate the right (abolished by Tywin Lannister) of common subjects to bring complaints about their lords directly to the Iron Throne.
Yeah, aunt-cousin marriage happened a handful of times in the real world too. It resulted in fucked up kids but GoT doesn't subscribe to realistic genetics. Nonetheless, it being something that happened a few times in the past doesn't mean it wouldn't be taboo enough to make Jon reticent (perhaps Varys ruling it out entirely was unreasonable). And first cousins marrying is normal and common irl and without the same genetic consequences, so I wouldn't say that's relevant
Yeah it’s definitely safer that way. Avoiding both bad things (like dui or hurting someone) and just straight up preventing another embarrassing situation.
It honestly depends on the family. The Ptolemies held up pretty well genetically to three centuries of inbreeding (I'm sure the women cucked with non relatives a couple times but still) their defective genes must have been minimal.
The Targs seem to have only had the problem of a large % chance to be batshit but extreme idiocy illnesses and deformities don't seem to have been a problem.
The Hapsburgs otoh as you see didn't hold up well at all.
>Yeah, aunt-cousin marriage happened a handful of times in the real world too. It resulted in fucked up kids but GoT doesn't subscribe to realistic genetics.
So this is irrelevant to the conversation at hand.
>Nonetheless, it being something that happened a few times in the past doesn't mean it wouldn't be taboo enough to make Jon reticent (perhaps Varys ruling it out entirely was unreasonable).
But there is zero evidence or explanation why that would be the case. Jon never explains why he is uncomfortable a single time. Varys is talking out of his ass.
It's not the audience's job to fill in the gaps when there are gaping plot holes like this. It's not our job to guess why Jon is uncomfortable with fucking his aunt, when it isn't considered incest by Westeros's standards. It's just pure laziness on D&D's part to facilitate the Mad Queen plot by having Jon check out emotionally.
>And first cousins marrying is normal and common irl and without the same genetic consequences, so I wouldn't say that's relevant
Again, we aren't talking about real life. By the standards of Westeros, aunt-nephew incest isn't considered incest. Period. Anything else is you making up excuses for bad writing.
>same genetic consequences
Which are barely. It's literally riskier to impregnate a 40 year old and Westeros has no concept of incest kids breeding with what they don't consider incest being a problem. Only reason it didn't happen more often irl is age discrepancy and having the same claim to the same shit unlike a cousin means it's just not necessary, but if you need to unite conflicting claims and two people are around the same age it's perfect. No one, not Jon in the books who helps out a Karstark set to marry her uncle finds it weird
Even if Jon considered it a little weird he'd get over it and Dany (who was raised to consider incest among her own family perfectly okay) would consider refusal after the Bran/Sansa reveal evidence of a plot against her.
So likely to order Jon to marry her, she would reassure him that he would thank her for it later.
>Even if Jon considered it a little weird he'd get over it and Dany (who was raised to consider incest among her own family perfectly okay) would consider refusal after the Bran/Sansa reveal evidence of a plot against her.
Dany was never opposed to ending things with Jon. She didn't want to refuse him romantically or politically.
The only explanation is bad writing. Instead of showing why the easy solution wouldn't work, D&D ignored it entirely.
Jaime and Dany.
Anyone in the friend who hasn't read the books. Do yourself a favour and listen to the audio books by Roy dotrice. The books are different enough to offer a few surprises and by book 4 I'd say other then character names and places there's little similarity in plot
Euron & Asha
Dany is a cute!
Where does she get them? I don't remember her liberating a town of seamstresses.
Unsullied are skilled in more than just warfare.
HNGGGGGGGGGG those hips
she was so fit this season
Imagine if Sansa and the northmen marched back just to find that Glover had seized Winterfell which thanks to sansa has all the food in the North and is properly manned with the wall patched up from the Short Night
It's a fucking shop you mong.
