tom hardy plays everyone so probably
>cast him
m8 im not sure. but I LOVE the splinter cell games. the first five are amazing and I would love to see a film series that adapted that whole story, ending with Conviction (where the series should have ended)
>Sam Fisher
John Krasinski
>Anna Grímsdóttir
Sophie Turner
>Irving Lambert
Forest Whitaker
Sarah Fisher
some kid lol
>Doug Shetland
David Denman
Oofff. I dunno about Sophie playing Grimsdottir or Forest playing Lambert but John and David would be perfect
>>Sam Fisher
>John Krasinski
>>Doug Shetland
>David Denman
im liking this
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau
Josh Brolin
too old
im really liking the idea of John Krasinski desu
>John Krasinski
Not feeling it. A lot of the mystique of the splinter cell series is Sam himself being sss+ flawless chad tier, and krasinski has a baby face and gives the impression that if his scenes weren’t scripted you can walk right over him.
still pissed they didnt make fisher the new lambert instead of having him jump around like ezio auditore at age 70
sam is an old fuck
yeah but in the first game he was old but didn't look it
i mean... he was like a 40yo who looked 29
Unironically Brie Larson
4/10
8.5/10
10/10
You cant, 75% of fisher is Ironside
no voice, no fisher
Bump because I love Splinter Cell
Scott Adkins
lol if only someone had told Ubisoft this
Leslie Jones
Ironside said in an interview he didn't do Blacklist because he was dealing with cancer
oh :|
BasedBoomer
Don't worry, he said he's doing better, and ubi is hinting at another SC game
yea
It’s too bad Harrison Ford couldn’t be 40 for this thread
>Sam Fisher
John Krasinski
nice
>anyone
Sophie Turner
kys retard
I’d be pissed if they were like ‘and now you get to be in charge because it’s your turn’. Takes me out of it when fiction does this because the jobs are always entirely different, the require different temperaments, skill sets, expertise, and genetic gifts (at elite levels).
thats fair, i was thinking those guys would all be former badasses but i guess i really have no reason to
In this case it would be believable, though. I'm not too educated on military hierarchy, but I'm pretty sure every Director/Head of X/whatever has seen at least some combat, so why not have it be Sam?
This. I think Fisher should have taken over and Archer becomes the new Splinter Cell
Lol ngl the only reason I picked Sophie is because I couldn't think of another young red head to play Grim
Michael Ironside
Chaos Theory is the greatest game ever made
CT is my favourite Splinter Cell
If I had to rate the games I'd say
>Chaos Theory
>Splinter Cell
>Conviction
>Double Agent
>Pandora Tomorrow
Splinter Cell is the true stealth game. Fuck MGS
Also, holy shit the soundtrack for CT by Amon Tobin is amazing
>Splinter Cell
What the fuck kind of name is that???
>don’t one a you niggas got splinter cell or something
They did. That's why he reprised his role in Ghost Recon and he will in the new Splinter Cell game that will be announced in a couple days.
Spies vs Mercs may have been the funnest online game I’ve ever played
Yeah well what kind of name is Stephen? Bitch ass nigga over here
James McAvoy.
im waiting
It's from the original game, zoomer. It refers to the splintered groups of operators left behind after an invasion who fuck shit up afterwards.
>John Krasinski
Fuck no, getting ripped can't cover the fact that he's a little babby
better have amon tobin back on the soundtrack
This would unironically be a good choice in like 20 years but he's too young right now
>good actor
>handsome
>looks rough and like he's been through some shit unlike most hollywood actors
what kind of shit are we talking about?
Imagine being The guard in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Fisher, where did ya go, all invisible and shit, with your body in the shadows. I totaly cannot see you right there over me with a giant bulb of light behind you. when all he really wants to do is shot the fucking guy right in the balls. Like seriously imagine having to be Soldier and not only have to ignore the guy in plain fucking sight right in front of you, the favorable lighting barely concealing the giant 3 green lights he carries in his head, while he just sits there, ,load after load, until he perfected the take down. Not only having to tolerate the fucking audacity of hiding in plain fucking sight but her haughty attitude as everyone on here tells you that DANM THATS THE BEST STEALTH GAME EVER MADE. WHERE DID FISHER GO??? IS HE A GHOST OR SOMETHING??? because they're not the ones who have to walk pass there and watch the fucking elephant in the room jump from 2m onto the ground making the biggest sound in the world and you have to act like you didnt noticed it. You trained your entire life in the best boot camps in russia and was survived war zones that were considered suicide missions your ENTIRE CAREER coming straight out of the boonies in Afeganistam. You've never even seen anything this fucking disgusting before, and now you swear you can taste the sweat that's breaking out on his fucking balls while he just hangs in there waiting for you to pass, smugly assured that you are oblivious to the king of stealth(for that is what he calls himself)" , the stealth he worked so hard breaking every single light bulb in the previous room's. And then the player reloads again, and you know you could kill the fucker before he even finishes climbing the wall, but you sit there and endure, because you're fucking Professional. You're not going to lose your future main character status in a generic FPS game over this. Just bear it. Hide your face and bear it.
I might have to agree with this guy. OST takes it up to god tier
splinter cell is better than thief
That's pretty good.
Is it a pasta?
Kek
Now that's what I call based
In the original concept art Sam Fisher was a white haired dude in his 60s, like Sean Connery in the Rock. I think it was Conviction where they deaged him 20 years and turned the franchise into an action game, you could autokill 4 mooks at once by pressing one button.
he was 54 in the first game
Sam must be played by a black woman. In this day and age it’s the only logical casting choice. It’s there time to shine and you can’t refute that
Jim Caviezel
I've never played these games but it's been on my list for a long time, which one should I start with?
Play them in order. The second one is very, very good. Chaos Theory is a masterpiece. They decline somewhat after that.
Maybe. Sam is clearly one of the most genetically gifted human beings in existence. I’m sure a lot of his skills would translate.
>cool head under pressure
>able to control chaotic scenarios
>team leadership
>authoritative
>wildly intelligent and disciplined enough to acquire his skill sets as well as react to anomalies
But I can’t get passed that someone doing intense field work for like 35 years would ever transition to desk work or meetings.
Come to think of it blacklist handled this way better than I realized when I played it. I thought it was cliche having Sam over criticize his partner/potential replacement. I’m thinking now that if Sam was sitting at a desk watching live feed of the fucking new guy picking a lock he’d have a stroke. A guy whose whole life is traversing the world would be stuck watching the future of America picking a lock 1/4 as fast as he could, and leaving marks and shit while in sams head plays the perfect sequence of delicate muscle movement to open that lock lightning fast. His fingers are mimicing the movement and he’s never wanted to do anything more in his life.
Do u mean it
Sam was born in 1957. He was 47 in first game and he's 62 now. If you really take care if your physique you can easily still be a solo infilitrator/operator at that age
1 2 3 4 5 (the series ends at 5 desu don't let anyone tell you otherwise)
see
what game he was 54 then?
>They decline somewhat after that
I disagree. Although the gameplay changed, I was really satisfied with the story. If the Splinter Cell series ended at 5 I would have been completely satisfied
Young Michael Ironside.
err I dunno for sure but I would guess Double Agent
If on PC and you don’t mind doing a little bullshit so it runs properly, the first three are the best part of series atmosphere, with Chaos Theory crowning the trilogy as a great embodiment to the original Splinter Cell vision. Double agent and conviction are more Michael-bay’d up but I’ve heard good enough things.
Blacklist is a great game for people who like the original trilogy. It really feels like you are basically playing chaos theory except it’s smoother with shittier lighting.
Also how the fuck did they get the lighting so right in chaos theory but the dark spots in the newer splinter cells just look greyer and bluer but still totally visible while I’m standing under a light?
Nice
Nothing will recreate the atmosphere of the first game.
Cont
Just a note that blacklist feels like chaos theory mechanically, but lost a lot of the ‘back and forth over 3D levels’ in favor of linear progression between spread out encounters.
Also play the spies vs mercs multiplayer if you get a chance, should be available on all games from 2nd onward, though I’m sure chaos theory is the only retro one being played by anyone, and blacklist is the only modern one you have any chance of matchmaking with. Got into some matches on PC Blacklist a few months back.
Ya that stuck out for me as an odd edition to a splinter cell titles when I played blacklist. From what I recall they did away with much of the handholding casualization but left that. Guessing it’s for the bar-fillers cause for some play styles it can be fun.
checked
those missions in china were comfy
I liked the art direction, with the hints and flashbacks projected onto walls. There were good environmental kills, and lots of pipes and windows so you could climb around, but the change of tone and action was really jarring. It suited the bonus missions but didn't fit the campaign or Sam's previous character. The whole plot with his daughter was fucking retarded.
Too NICE
ok lads lets do this
>Sam Fisher
Logan Marshall-Green
>Anna Grímsdóttir
Annalise Nicole Basso
>Irving Lambert
Laurence Fishburne
>Sarah Fisher
(it really doesn't matter desu she doesn't have a big part to play)
>Doug Shetland
David Denman
there are loads of other people throughout the five games but I think i've done a pretty good job here
>>Sam Fisher
>Logan Marshall-Green
poor man's tom hardy has yet to impress me with a role
John Boyega
WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO CAST SAM FISHER
maybe we should just stick with tom hardy then
Daniel Craig would be a good Sam Fisher desu. I hate him as a James Bond but he's got the roughness, the middle age and yet still the athletic ability to do his own stunts.
The Shanghai scene in Skyfall had that Splinter Cell vibe.
youtube.com
george clooney would have made a great sam fisher if the films aged with him through his late forties - fifties
Ubisoft fucked up splinter cell
Here's what should have happened
After Convictions, Sam should have become the Head of Fourth Echelon with Archer as the new Splinter Cell. Because Fourth Echelon was just starting up when the story of Blacklisted begins and because Sam is a Splinter Cell legend, there are missions where Sam is involved but the player is always Archer, this would make the transition to playing as Archer more smooth and realistic because Sam is getting old now. After the events of Blacklisted, the scene in Ghost Recon where Sam acknowledged Snake and the MGS universe should have been done differently. Ubisoft should have then bought some rights to the MGS universe and the next instalment in the Splinter Cell series should have been called something like "Splinter Cell: The New Age" and introduces MGS elements previously top secret and unknown in the SP universe like advanced tech relating to Metal Gear.
>Ubisoft should have then bought some rights to the MGS universe and the next instalment in the Splinter Cell series should have been called something like "Splinter Cell: The New Age" and introduces MGS elements previously top secret and unknown in the SP universe like advanced tech relating to Metal Gear.
oh man this would have been amazing

we can only hope someone high up at Ubisoft is lurking this thread and taking notes

i need ubisoft to try and do this
Hmm yeah I can see that. His voice isn't too off either
Someone give me a qrd on Splinter Cell. At one point it seemed like it was the hottest shit ever but then it just faded away completely. Was it good? What was it about?
www.google.com
>was it good
Amazing
Sam Fisher is a highly trained agent (known as a Splinter Cell) of a black-ops sub-division within the NSA, dubbed "Third Echelon".
The first three games follow Sam saving the world from a Georgian president with a suitcase nuke known as "The Ark" to stopping WW3 because of shit going down in East Asian.
Double Agent & Conviction conclude Sam's story. I don't want to say spoilers but all five games make a great series
He's already been cast.
I'm fucking feeling this
Are you doing a bit where you pretend Blacklist doesn't exist?
I don't know what you are talking about
Have you seen Quarry?
Was Blacklist better than Conviction? Hoe come we haven't had a new game in so long?
I feel like Frank Grillo could have done it.
SC is hard to make into a generic open world game without changing it fundamentally.
I just miss it so bad :( at least I still have Hitman
>John Krasinski
Blacklist is unironically good when played on the highest difficulty. Bandwagoners shat on it for no reason.
this, just cgi and get Fisher to voice, otherwise there's little reason to like the franchise
Conviction imo really ended the Splinter Cell story in a great way. Blacklisted fucked up by making Sam seem younger and having him voiced by a different actor
He has the right face
Blacklist*
snooping around and bopping people
feels bad man
bump for Lambert
The All State Insurance guy.
Max Martini
Dan Stevens
Ryan Gosling
Good shout. I second this
Warwick Davis
lmao
gosling is blonde, it wouldnt work
this is good but Annalise is too young imo. we need the perfect Grim because she has a big part to play in Conviction
bump
mfw
I always hated the NVGs look like glowing eyes meme in games and movies. What’s the fucking point if your all lit up like the Christmas tree?
>What’s the fucking point if your all lit up like the Christmas tree?
yeah I never understood that. it does look cool though
That Tom Clancy Future war game was even worse. Not only did their goggles light up but they had fucking TRON armor on.
> the scene in Ghost Recon where Sam acknowledged Snake
