I dunno how they fucked it so hard with these GOT prequels. They should've had season 1 filmed a year ago and planning to premiere it in late 2019/early 2020. Instead it's unlikely we'll see anything before 2021 if they even greenlight it.

You only need one or two good shows to keep your channel rolling. Especially when one is as big as the Sopranos was. The only problem for HBO is that they don't run the Sopranos and other old popular shows every month like other channels do.
