I liked Doctor Who as a kid, it also let me see and predict the same thing that happened to that show happen to other shows and other things I like.
Mainly people that weren't actually "into" the show, coming in, changing the plot and the attitude of the characters, and taking over the heart of the show from within, to the level in which I have to abandon said show.
Kind of like what happened to current day gaming, and other TV Shows.
