Infinity War is a bloated mess, it's a bunch of sound and fury signifying nothing that has nothing to offer besides the novelty of seeing so many heroes on screen at once. The only characters with genuine arcs are Thanos, Starlord and Gamora, everyone else is there to do exposition or punch people.
Endgame has real, genuine character work, no one on screen is wasted, and when the final battle happens you actually give a shit because the movie did the work to setting it up.
