Has anyone ruined their careers and chance at a mythical status more than this fucking dude?
Starts career with and goes through: >The Godfather >Taxi Driver >Raging Bull >The King of Comedy >Once Upone a Time in America >The Untouchables >Angel Heart >Goodfellas >Cape Fear >A Bronx Tale >Casino >Sleepers All movies ranging from very good to great.
Finishes it with: >Ronin >Analyze This >Mee the Parents >Analyze That >Shark Tale (wtf) >Meet the Fockers >Good Shepherd >Stardust >What Just Happened >Everybody's Fine >Little Fockers >Killing Season >American Hustle >Grudge Match >The Bagman >The Intern >The Audition >Joy >Dirty Grandpa
most men turn into bumbling baffoons as they get older. don't take anything they do or say post 60 seriously
Juan Russell
I thought The Intern was cute desu
Blake Morgan
>i wanna punch that guy in the face >nigger kids You know what happened.
Grayson Myers
It could be worse, he could be Christopher Walken
Luis Lopez
Ronin was actually his last good movie.
Joshua Wright
Yeah, but look at DDL for example. Even Jack Nicholson had some self-respect and his post 2000s movies are not the most horrid shit ever. Clint Eastwood too
Post the .webm of the comedy he was in where someone walks in on him actually literally jerking off to blacked porn. How you can go from Travis Bickle to an old man sitting on a couch jerking off to nigger dicks escapes me.
Alexander Gonzalez
>When you marry your fetish instead of sticking to your people I feel no sympathy towards him desu
Jace Diaz
What movies should he have starred in? No one makes kinos like those anymore.
Colton James
i dont even know why he marrierd her. she looks like a man
Jaxson Jenkins
Ronin is fucking great though I mean it's average compare to his earlier movies but it's well made action film
Brandon Martinez
i see shit like this happen and i realize why rich and famous people just kill themselves it's like your life doesn't belong to you anymore and they should never have gone into movies or music
Nolan Jackson
I hope you're not implying a white woman wouldn't want to take half his shit.
Leo Morgan
A white woman at least has a chance to look good and be a good person. Marrying a giant ape wearing a wig is just retarded
Jonathan Williams
The problem is entering a relationship.
All famous dudes would be fine if they stuck to fucking bitches without ever committing to a relationship. Kinda like George Clooney did before he married Amal.
Daniel Martinez
Meet the Parents, Shark Tale, and Stardust are fucking great you piece of shit retard.
You also forgot Heat in the first list. Fuck you.
Jordan Johnson
Analyze This and Meet the Parents are both very good but everything else on your second list is indeed terrible.
Ryder Kelly
Ronin has one of the most well done car chase scenes ever >e34 m5 explodes
Blake Bailey
>Meet The Parents and Analyze This are good Please tell me you zoomers are being ironic. For the love of fuck.
Nigga I'm from '81, fuck outta here. It was shit. So were these
Zachary Collins
Meet the Parents fucking RULES. It's the best romantic comedy of the 00s. Produced by based as fuck Emo Phillips. It's a great movie
Meet the fockers is shit, though
Xavier Ortiz
>make fun of racemixers/leftists/people getting fucked over by roasties thread turns into B-BUT THIS SHITTY DE NIRO MOVIE AFTER THE 90S WAS SECRETLY GOOD!!!!!!! thread you retards will argue over anything
Al Pacino fell much farther, also Ronin is a good movie.
Brandon Ward
I also will stand up for Stardust
And I haven’t seen American Hustle but Silver Linings Playbook was okay. David O Russell may be discount Scorsese but discount Scorsese is still not bad
Kevin Miller
t. Virgin
Hudson Flores
Unironically some of the best acting he’s done in years
Christian Stewart
He had to pay the bills He'll be back
Henry Hall
this, wtf? so he CAN still act, it's just he needs to play the same character he always has? do zoomers not like gangster films or something, why has he been doing schlock for the past 2 decades?
Bentley Rivera
Gangster movies are timeless, he might just want to be in movies for his kids now or something. There’s a few actors who do that.
Nolan Hernandez
He's great in Meet The Parents
Leo Cook
Just like videodrome, Angel Heart is criminally underrated
Gavin Lewis
Cape Fear blew his rhythm, and he's been in gangster mode ever since. The 90's weren't very literary it was all about the sitcom format which Meet The Parents satires nicely. It's amazing how many of his films can be classed under 'occupational hazards'.
Leo Reyes
Why do you say it broke his rhythm? In what sense?
Juan Young
Cape fear was such a shitty movie. De niro was good but it seemed like De Palma or some other equally meh director could have shot it.
Jackson Peterson
>Robert de Negro
Leo Evans
looks like he is paying the toll
Evan White
It was sort of like a Southern Gothic comedy, which is fine for all intents and purposes but it wasn't really a secure genre picture. The performances aren't bad but I don't think the film endeared itself to audiences.
>It's amazing how many of his films can be classed under 'occupational hazards'. I like him as a priest, war vet, taxi driver, or any sort of tutelary role. Has he ever played a school teacher or professor before?
Andrew Clark
You forgot Mean Streets in good movies
Dylan Martin
Remembered an article from a few years ago based exactly on this. He gave up in 2002.
TDK owes a lot to Mean Streets which owes a lot to The Third Man... Mean Streets works because it cast De Niro as a Harry Lime figure, but succeeds primarily because Keitel is allowed to lead.
Will 'The Irishman' allow Pacino and Keitel to star and have De Niro appear in the same sort of Harry Lime-esque role? I think it's more weighted toward De Niro.
Michael Harris
What is TDK?
Henry Campbell
Just the dark knight but I would include Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs as well. An actor wants that sort of tertiary role with less screentime because it contains more concentrated power. youtu.be/FMOVVt_8fVE
>white woman >woman >good person Where have been the last few years, you dumb faggot?
Nolan Gray
Despite genre differences the structure is similar. The use of a somewhat tertiary character (de Niro and Ledger) and the fact that a lot of audiences dislike the straight-laced characters performed by Keitel and Bale, which better orientate an audience. It's similar to letting Joseph Cotton lead your film with a cameo by Welles.
I can't think of a film where Pacino has played a tertiary character.
Lucas Barnes
He didn't "ruin his career". He had already done all the kinos he could and cemented himself as an S lister. Once kinos started declining, he had to take roles to pay the bills and also to stay relevant.
There's still The Irishman coming up if they ever release it. You also forgot to list Cinquecento.
