Do people not also like Evolution? It's probably my favorite. I really like the concept of hybrids and how instead of nerfing the main characters they continued to make them stronger. After Rise of the Lycans the next movie should've been about Selene and Michael finally uniting all Vampires and Lycans under their rule followed by a final movie of this new united clan vs humanity who are trying to wipe them out.

Asides from like werewolf movies and what not, I really liked the whole rich aristocratic atmosphere in the first one and then the grimy underground look with the Lycans. Also having Lucian clearly be seen to be a hero type from the start while still focusing on him as a villain was interesting, easily my favorite character, and wish he lasted longer, but probably was better off to die in the first one and not drag his story out into the shittier movies
