Yea Forums overhyped the shit out of it and thought it was gonna beat Endgame and make over a billion shekels; it didn't.
In retrospect, the film is mostly mediocre, has a shitty predictable third act + weak ending, cast a mutt actor as the lead, barely had that many battles, had the premise loosely based off of the mediocre 3DS spin off for god knows what reason, story was too weak, CGI will NOT age well, and even the most diehard of Pokemon fans admitted to being bored and disappointed by it several days after seeing it.
American movie companies can't into a Pokefag movie. Ever.
