I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but Agents of Shield tied into the MCU plenty of times. I think what you're complaining about is why the Marvel movies never directly referenced Agents of Shield

The fact isn't that the show did not tie in with the movies, because it did, but the other way around. The movies never acknowledged the show. The only thing that ties them up is Jarvis (from Agent Carter) making a little appearance in the 70's segment of Endgame.

You can definitely tell that they had a budget cut starting in S5. Plus the fact that their 3-arc format for S4 made the show feel so much more quickly paced, so going back to the regular format feels slower.

If only the mcu would share more of its toys, would have kept the series relevant and kept the money rolling

I'm assuming their preference for space or more recently the multiverse (assuming that is the route there going) is to avoid the movies pissing in their cereal, as was the case with aspects of Civil War and again in Endgame. Feige's passive aggression to SHIELD/the Defenders is well documented, and it shows in the movies disregard for the show, which sucks.

Caestecker and even Henry Simmons kill it every season, I hope they get even more chances to prove themselves later in life. Fitz's character arcs have been nothing short of fantastic

Because it and all other Marvel shoes aside from Agent Carter were produced by Marvel Entertainment, a separate entity from Marvel Studios, and Kevin Feige had no hand in them. From a realist perspective, you might as well be asking why Batman wasn't in Endgame; the only connection between ME's shows and the MCU is that they share the name Marvel.

We all know that makes no sense. Season 4 ended with Thanos arriving in Wakanda. It was a huge plot point, but they were worried S5 would air before Endgame and spoil it so they went in a whole different direction. Claiming it's somehow "before the snap", despite Thanos coming to earth and then skipping ahead a year.

I think it's a good thing that they are not trying to bend over backwards to tie in with Endgame, because sometimes it made the show do stupid shit just for the sake of "yeah don't worry all is connected, bro". But the lack of saying something about it is getting frustrating. They should say some multiverse shit and be done with it, because it doesn't make any sense anymore.
