The dog fight scene in Something About Mary, in the theater, watching with dad as a young teen. We were both in tears and having trouble breathing, it was sublime.

the british guy on crutches was fucking great
>i award you no points, and may god have mercy on your soul
This movie is underrated
youtube.com
The part with him flying uncontrollably back into his body violently. Cracks me up every time.

I'm cracking up just looking at the picture, this might be the winner

Lol I remember seeing this at a drive in, double-billed with Dracula 2000, I think. It was supposed to be a date but my room-mate tagged along but it was worth it because we laughed so hard and lots of quotable lines from that movie got repeated. "...aaaand theeeeen?"
This
And Jackass 3D for almost its entirety. Yes I was high.

the bible slap and the stenographer get me every time
well-done slapstick will always be funny. hillbilly rabbit is the best looney tunes sketch. it's one of those overdone genres that 99% falls flat, but that 1% is memorable for a lifetime.
Between that and the sex scene, I'm with you.
The cat rescue from Mr. Deeds... I know, I know
youtube.com
also lol Jared Harris was in this. Didn't know who he was back then, just recognizing him watching this scene again.
Kung Pow Enter the Fist made me laugh harder than anything, ever.
I knew that punt coming but it never gets old.

Slapstick is the thinking man's comedy.
Slapstick comedy requires low or high IQ, the average person doesn't 'get' it.

>"WAIT A MINUTE!" and honestly me and my bestie couldn't stfu with out laughter in just how he said those three words in the context of the film
based. Also, Tony did wait, but not quite a minute. Mel bought himself, what, ten seconds? Eh, but you're forgetting the real funny part.

this exact line may be the funniest in any movie ever. it fucking kills me and i reference it all the time, only nobody ever catches it. i guess it comes down to the delivery
Probably not the hardest but my goodness it killed me when I first saw it. Still one of my favourite comedies ever
>knew this from the old ''stream that movie if you're so great'' Yea Forums memes
>actually started watching a stream of it but couldn't really make it because of the film's opening 15 minutes being nothing but action scenes
>never once imagine what the rest of the film is like for 5 years
>i guess it comes down to the delivery
Yeah, he said it with such earnest seriousness. I should do that line the next time some pink/purple haired dolt thinks she's being deep by bashing white people.
fuck me this shit too. But I think the "babe wait" scene is funnier. Another reference I drop a lot but this one people get.
I always have second thoughts about listening to this song, I don't know why but it always begats bad luck/disaster for me. Maybe it's because it's from footloose.

Embarassingly r*ddit post
what movie?
Here's a good moment: youtube.com
Not all time best laughs but from recent films the two jokes about Hugh Jackman from the first Deadpool made me let out bursts of pure unfiltered laughter.

This was fucking hilarious, I didn't understand it as a kid
Very bad things
I remember watching this opening night. Nobody had ANY idea what was going to happen in the movie. Now, it's just not that funny, but holy shit that first time seeing it I almost passed out

In the same vein
That's Clint Eastwood's favorite part, as it happened to him on his first date with some roastie.
Honestly this. The dramatic music, the silly puppet body flailing, his eyes opening really wide. This tickled me and it still does.
There's loads of bits in Team America that make me giggle.
>now suck my cock
This entire movie
youtube.com
Not that funny
>HA-HA I THREW THAT SHIT BEFORE I WALKED IN THE ROOM!
I was literally rolling on the floor laughing.
This isn't funny. This is just sick
Absolutely agree. I had tears running down my cheeks a third of the way through. I was unable to breathe properly by the end. People in the theater were still recovering by the middle of the ancient egypt sequence.
It was a different time.
I only laugh at movies if there's somebody else with me, otherwise I just find it funny in my mind.
Gets me every time
Thanks user those two are old but gold
Honestly it was a pretty good film

>Addam's Family Values
>Harold & Kumar Escape Guantanamo Bay
(BTW, is the Christmas Special any good?)
>A Very Brady Sequel
And who could forget:
>Problem Child 2
>sheeeeeeeeit

All of them except for junp street are all over years ago. I meant it like most modern comedy sequels just aren't good
Yeah, you've got me there.
Fuck im retarded i meant to say over 10 years ago but you know what i mean
comfy thread lads
>BTW, is the Christmas Special any good?
it's god awful
What a shame.
But anyway, here's a scene from 22 Jump Street. Go to 3:11 specifically, but the whole thing is great.

I don't think I've ever heard a theatre laugh louder between this and the cumming argument in This is the End
fuckin wu?
god that killed me rn
this but from beginning to end. This movie has no fucking breaks.
came here to post this
it was so hard as a kid to say that I couldn't understand black people when they talk because then I'd be called racist but then I saw Airplane! and just felt so relieved that someone else out there knew my plight and showed it completely straight

Keanu and Hugo trying to do martial arts in the first matrix movie.
The Barbie museum turning out to be the Klaus Barbie museum was pretty funny too.
This when I was a kid

This was great
You know modern comedies would either start playing piano music out of nowhere or introduce it randomly while Frank is panicking
>Is this some kind of bust?
>Something About Mary
was the last comedy worth going to see at the cinema. Sad, really.
Those old straight guy acts like "who's on first?"
when I watched Borat with my dad when I was like 15. We nearly died laughinh at the naked fight scene.

Not kidding: Google Voice Assistant now has a preprogrammed response for "What is the difference between a duck?"
My man.
lol, what does it answer
I can't even pick a favourite bit in this, it's too good
The scene with Donny's ashes killed me the first time I watched this. Jeff Bridges standing completely still while he gets showered in cremated remains lol. Just thinking about it makes me chuckle.

There's a blooper of a deleted scene where they're buying drugs wholesale from some fat guy and he tries to stand up and the chair comes up with him and he launches a tirade of expletives and it's one of the funniest fucking things I've ever seen
Where did this kind of comedy go? I remember a ton of great comedies from Jim Abrahams and Mel Brooks that made me almost wet myself, but nowadays it's all either shit or ironic (in other words, cynical) shit. Did everyone in Hollywood suddenly lose their sense of humor?
>"Wait, if you're all alive...then surely Wimp Lo...!"
>"WIMP LO! WIMP LO!"
>sound of flies buzzing, the chosen one makes a disgusted face
>"...oh."
Not a movie but still
It's impossible to make a comedy (let alone a parody) without offending anyone. And modern society does not take offense lightly. If Mel Brooks made Blazing Saddles today, he would've been blacklisted from everything in Hollywood that can blacklist people.
youtube.com
youtube.com
yeah, sad, that this kind of comedy is gone. Leslie Nielsen was such a natural comedic genius - his confused reactions enhanced the funny ideas.
The scene in Kung Pow where the baby is rolling down the hill and the woman picks it up and carries it to toss down the other side of the hill. I think that's the hardest I've ever laughed in my life.
Also I saw it in the theater as a kid and I think that's the only, or at least the last movie I went to where it sounded like a studio audience because everyone was gut-busting laughing and didn't seem to care about being quiet for the movie.
Private Payne when I was a kid, that movie had me laughing from start to finish and it was one of my favorite ones to watch over and over again whenever it would air on tv.
Holy shit that is Jared Harris. That's fucking hilarious.
The first bob saget scene was funny as fuck too, this made my face and ribs hurt
How on earth did you not know this already?
The decline of parody movies happened when the studios forgot that they should also work as stand alone comedies.
I still don't know all the movies Naked Gun or Airplane movies riff, but they still work well as comedies.
>The decline of parody movies happened when the studios forgot that they should also work as stand alone comedies.
It was pretty obvious that Seltzer and Friedberg didn't even watch the fucking movies they were spoofing, just the trailers. They even use the exact same joke in one movie that was used in the actual X-Men movie!
what was the baseball movie where the outfielder gets his head taken off while trying to steal a homerun?
Major Payne
You sure that was a baseball movie and not just Naked Gun 1?
Man I miss it when they still did comedies.
Which was the last really solid one? Tropic Thunder?
made me raugh and raugh
also dubs checked
This
My god this thread is embarassing
Not the hardest I've ever laughed, but worth mentioning I went to see Batman v. Superman in theaters when it first came out.
I had heard a lot of people saying, "Batman doesn't outright kill people, it's left ambiguous", so when it got to scenes where he'd shred a car full of goons with a gatling gun and used another car full of goons to crush a truck full of goons, or when he opened up on goons with a .50 cal, stabbed them to death, blew them up with a grenade and shoot a flamethrower fuel tank with a rifle, I absolutely couldn't contain myself and lost it in theater.
Absolutely.
Watching this inna cinema was a cultural happening.
you're right, thanks
I fapped to this as a teen
fuck me that reaction to the punch is so perfecto
Thanks senpai
