This. The entire experiment was complete bullshit and only gets touted now because it's currently hip to believe that humanity is scum. The only 'evidence' it found is that willing participants in situations like experiments or therapy will almost always try to act in a way that they believe will please the relevant authority figure, in this case by playing out the scenario they knew he wanted to see. The fact that he involved himself in his experiment by participating in it directly makes it completely laughable by modern psychological science standards.

The experiment worked out quite well from an outside observer pov (meaning, looking at the entire thing, including the people who designed and looked after the test subjects). More evidence that all humans, even the so called "intelligent" ones, are unable to make decisions that aren't completely biased towards their own desires/goals.
