The filmed the whole thing twice basically and then stitched it into some horrible Frankenstein abomination.
If they had just let Snyder do his thing then I’m sure it wouldn’t have been that good but it would’ve at least been tonally consistent and probably would’ve looked great
If they’d got Whedon in from the getgo it would’ve probably sucked but it might’ve gone down well with the normies and critics and might’ve been more successful
As it stands they did the worst possible thing: take footage from two polar opposite directors and try and make a whole movie out of it

It was poorly planed first of all. Also literally everyone but superman was miscast, and supes is dead half the movie. Snyder was going to fuck it up all along, but made it even worse by dropping out then handing direction to his polar opposite. And lastly, it's capeshit.

Only a few movies in the franchise they were trying to build. MOS BvS and WW were not enough to build up to JL. Suicide Squad doesnt count since its so disconnected from everything else. Especially to have the main baddie be fuckin Steppenwolf. Should have picked Brainiac. At least marvel had origin movies and sequels to several characters prior to avengers.

The script was actually really fantastic. It's just that someone used the tissue paper they wrote the script on to wipe his ass so when they transferred the script to paper they mistakenly copied the shit instead of the writing made in crayon.
