>bustin his ass for 5 years defending shit movies so he can get an invite to a shit theme park
I never could stand this fat piece of blob
I could only find the video with some dudes commentary
youtu.be
it starts at around 2 minutes
The best part is that some roastie at collider who couldnt care less about star wars got invited and he didnt
quick rundown pls
God he must be dead inside
If you ruin your career at least do it in style. He should have said everything what Disney paid him and what they wanted him to do and say. And of course end by saying what you really thought about their shitty movies.
Pretty sure he sees himself as badass for calling out disney live.
The guy in the baseball cap is Kristian Harloff from Collider.
Collider makes podcasts and videos talking about nerd culture.
Disney was promoting Galaxy's Edge, which is their new Star Wars themed area for their theme parks and invited some people from Collider to visit before it opens on the condition that they promote it on their podcast.
Kristian Harloff wasn't one of the people from Collider who got invited to the sneak preview.
He got angry and, in his own words, "butthurt" about it and wrote a letter to Disney asking why he wasn't invited.
Disney didn't answer his letter.
A few days later, while live on air, Harloff refused to promote Galaxy's Edge because he was still upset about not being invited. His producer then stepped in and said that they were contractually obligated to promote Galaxy's Edge and Harloff still refused and they started arguing about it.

This shit is hilarious
What I've gathered through osmosis is that this Collider guy wasn't invited to the opening of the big new Star Wars thing at Disneyworld and a couple of his fellow Collider employees were. He has a tantrum saying he won't talk about the new Star Wars thing at all. Producer cuts in and tells him he has to talk about it because Collider is covering it and he's part of Collider. Cringe ensues.
They invited some chick who doesnt care about star wars but has good connections. Its brilliant
>star wars shill from collider has a podcast called jedi order
>doesn't receive an invitation to the opening of disney's new star wars theme park
>a couple different women from collider get invitations, he emails disney for one and doesn't get a response
>whines about it live on stream and refuses to do coverage
>producer steps in to tell him he has to
The Chad Harloff
Shill spends years shilling Disney's products, but doesn't get invited to the sneak peak of their new theme park, this makes the shill mad and he refuses to talk about the new theme park on his own podcast. Corporate handler steps in live on air to tell the shill that he must cover it because "we have coverage from other people goyim", problem being that the shill owns the podcast they want him to talk about it on and the corporate handler is going full "oy vey" on him.
hopefully he goes nuclear and spills the beans about shilling policies
The Virgin Rich Evans
>nerd crew sketches are literally true
Based RLM calling out shills
>You know that's a really under appreciated aspect of this whole thing and if I could piggy back on that just to add some thoughts of my own
Reminder that RLM has recommended EVERY single Disney Marvel and NuWars movie and go opening weekend to shill them. It’s genuinely all they watch and talk about. Jay once tried to watch a Best Picture frontrunner other than Black Panther so he could LARP like he’s part of real film discussions - he got around to it the literal day of the Academy Awards and immediately ran to Twitter to whine about how there weren’t enough quips. He thought Black Panther should’ve won Best Picture over it. Lmao
The most pathetic part of it is this tantrum reveals he's not even a shill. He spilled the beans on their business model: there actually is no direct collaboration between Collider and Disney. The suckers actually, unironically, do it for free. They do the shuck-and-jive routine and pretend to get excited for product, all in the vain hope they'll get a few scraps from a studio in the form of "exclusive" or early content.
That kind of charade wears on one's soul. Listen to this guy
>I've been busting my assessment for 5 years as a star wars fan!!
those are the words of a frustrated, broken sucker. This guy dreams of being a legitimate shill: someone who directly (but covertly) coordinates with the studio to promote a product. How sad.
>busting my assessment for years
What did he mean by this?
>tfw busted my ass for 3 months as a star wars fan
>no invite to theme park
No idea. He sounds like a retarded with a autocorrect.
>Being a star wars fan in 2017+2
y
Nah, the fact that the producer tells him he has to cover the theme park shows they're being payed too.
Who are the bigger embarrassments - RLM or Collider?
>tfw 3 hour podcast about star wars due in 5 years and I haven't started yet
RLM taking big stinky diarrhea shits all over collider.
bend over
Cringe kino
WHERES MY INVITE DISNEY
Ugly looking people.
Jay consistently posts about arthouse shit on his twitter (with indeed a mostly shit opinion), but three billboards actually WAS a tonal nightmare
I'm not saying he has good taste, but he definitely didn't try to watch 1 non-capeshit and then gave up, considering his feed is full of then
t. actual arthouse autist
The producer knows who butters his bread, but there was no indication that they had any explicit arrangements with DisneyLF (there's no check included with a list of talking points). It seems like they simply do the promotion-for-access thing: relying on getting coverage of exclusive content out first to draw in the views+likes+comments+subscribes which make up their lifeblood.
The producer was trying to do what was best for Collider™.
>actual arthouse autist
prove it
look for yourself

Maybe I just don't get it, but the pic you posted and the things you wrote do not seem to have anything to do with each other.
>three billboards and black panther were nominated for oscars in different years
>saying that a film is a tonal mess doesn't mean he wanted more quips in it. if anything that movie needed to cut some of the out of place humor
>dunking on a mediocre movie doesn't imply that he would have either preferred black panther to win over it
>they did not recommend every marvel and star wars movie. I remember them being quite negative towards captain marvel and any star wars film after force awakens.

>black narcissus

Also you probably meant 2013
FUCK IT, WE'LL DO IT LIVE

They're shills in the sense that they pretty much have to think everything Star wars does is earth shatteringly great. Their business model is feeding man children the opinion they want to hear. Those man babies will quite literally throw tantrums and bombard site with bad reviews if there is any criticism or they don't feel like they are validated for liking star wars.
After following some of the less hysteric YouTube critics like WorldClassBullshitters, this was exactly like they said it worked: No money changing hands, but early access and perks given in exchange for favorable reviews.
They don't shill for free like a fanatical fan, but they shill for access which again generates income.
My bad, it was Get Out. Black Panther was the only best picture nominees they mentioned positively the following year
Mike explicitly recommended Captain Marvel and Jay mentioned it’s the first one he ever did not recommend, including Thor 2. They’ve recommended every NuWars movie except for TLJ which they cowardly refused to either recommend or not recommend as the controversy was in full swing by the time they put up their review and they are far too much of hacks to come down either way
I still find it hilarious that "access media" sounds like "Axis media" when spoken aloud.
That is all.
Reddit Letter Media is cancer. You're cancer.
