I watched like over a decade ago a Russian documentary about Chernobyl where it was fully lay out how utter incompetence of the staff, who deliberately turned off all the protective systems, caused the meltdown. I think there's also another documentary from 2016 filmed by Leonid Parfenov who is renowned in Russia for his journalistic integrity and impartiality towards both modern Russia and USSR, so I imagine he probably reported on the same version of events. I very much doubt whatever this article claims is the widespread propaganda about American agents is actually believed by majority of Russians. I'd wager, on the scale of retarded conspiracy theories, there are more people in the States who think Trump works for Putin than there are Russians who believe Chernobyl was a work of foreign agents.
