him and his sister got into a swimming accident at the start of the film but the sister dies and so does his dad then he lives with his auntie or somthing who dresses him like a girl to further the phycological trauma, it also made for a cool twist since towards then end you started to know that she was the killer so that extra twist made it worth the reveal aswell
