The first season is performing well on Netflix and has gotten the show a lot more fanfare. Let's hope for an exclusive third season. It happened with "Lucifer" and "You". The latter of which was an obscure Lifetime show of all things.

Season 2 was pretty lackluster desu. So many plot threads ended up being pointless and the writers just started relying on shock value for the sake of it. Not surprised it got the axe.

The show was relying on shock value and constantly trying to out weird itself pretty much from the beginning. And I never felt it was as punk as it obviously thought it was being. It was an edgy joke that desperately needed a straight man.

A season free of Sunny Shine and Smoothie could allow for a more focused narrative. This season felt like it was building up to something much bigger that ended up being a cliffhanger.

From what I've read, even though Syfy dropped it, the show runners and studio are shopping for another network. Given that it's hosted on Netflix, I'd say that would be the safest bet.

Season 2 of Happy wasn't as good as the first and it was kind of a cluster fuck. But it's still entertaining, imo. It just seems like it was mainly build up to a third act that now may not happen.
