>why is there a clown with a gun right behind me
Reaction, more like I had an erection
>Why is this guy in EVERYTHING?
The opening was pretty exciting but the rest of the film was really dull and stupid, I only saw it because The Dark Knight was so good and I wished I hadn't bothered.
On the first viewing, I remember hearing the "you're a big guy" line and thinking it was sort of odd and out of place, somehow I didn't connect it to any other lines or dialogue, just thought "yeah I guess Bane is big but that was a weird, random statement"
After that, didn't really think about the plane scene again until the meme happened
turned into a really long and meandering flick which set every acting/directing/design choice up for scrutiny because there was nothing to keep the mind from wandering.
I thought it was gripping really, but mostly I was trying to figure out what bane was saying and why his voice was specifically so loud.
"This is gonna be huge"
I saw just the plane scene on youtube and I genuinely though that it was a troll dub due to the weird voice mixing and the awkward line delivery.
>"Oh, look. It's Littlefinger."
I could not understand Bane due to the voice-over remaster Nolan ordered. Bane as a villain was pretty interesting in the trailers mostly by merit of his hardcore lines, like, "You don't fear death. Your Punishment must be more severe." and his dank mask. In the film, his appearances until his fight with Batman were mostly retarded cameos with the terrible HASHA HASHA HISH HISH music. The fight between him and Batman was pretty predictable I thought. The best scene in this flick is when Batman fights Bane at the end, knocks the tubes out of his mask, and he goes apeshit. Now that was some quality capeshit fighting.
i started laughing the second i saw Aidan's face, since he's one of my favorite actors.
i laughed even more when i saw his pose, and i kept laughing through the whole scene. the dialogue is just hilarious.
>if i pull that off, will you die?
>it would be extremely painful
>you're a big guy!
>for you
hahahaha! i CLAPPED.
I actually didn't think any of it. I'm almost sure I thought the way they destroyed the plane was excessively convoluted, but I liked those shots showing the planes against the scenery.
Went over my head because I was distracted by how bad Bane's voice was mixed in.
>HASHA HASHA HISH HISH
>NO MORE GETTING ALL COPS IN THE CITY TRAPPED IN THE SEWERS ALL AT ONCE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US AT THE SAME TIME TRAPPED
what did nolan mean by this?
"What the fuck is the big guy trying to say?"
I thought Bane was really easy to understand compared to the original clips we heard, they redubbed all his lines because people couldn't understand him:
I liked the cafe scene at the end.
why
sounds so much better, he actually sounds like he's deformed from his injury and the mask barely lets him speak. would have made the movie much better
This dub features a more cool, collected Bane instead of the grandiose Bane we see in the final cut. Admittedly it's harder to understand but he sounds less theatrical.
I liked the music mostly.
Now it's one of the funniest scenes to me, just the hint of the grass and the 4 wheel drive appearing... halp
Not only did I clap, but I stood up shouting "Bravo Nolan!"
i was unironically astounded by the plane scene from the moment i saw it. i immediately took to it and recognized that it was something special, a beautiful, ridiculous mess that stood out even more considering the mediocre movie it introduced
yes good music. i still listen to this from time to time.
youtu.be
I dont get it. I dont get bane posting.
I always wanted to see Batman and Catwoman get together.
"Why does the bad guy's voice sound like a british cuckold? Sounds like they phoned him in"
but that was bruce wayne and selina kyle getting together, comrade.
I unironically didn't think anything about it at all, literally pokerface from how bland and generic it was
underrated
Imagine what could have been. This dub wouldn't have created a meme.
I actually didn't see it in theaters, I saw it about a year after it came out on DVD. I had been avoiding spoilers for it forever cause I had heard it was just as good as The Dark Knight. When I got done watching it I was so fucking confused, like did you guys even watch the same movie? The plane scene really is a microcosm of everything wrong with the movie, amplified to a parodic degree. The fact that people consider Bane anything other than hilarious is mind blowing
"If I pulled [the mask] off, would you die?"
Straightforward
"It would be extremely painful"
Ambiguity on who it would be painful for
"You're a big guy"
You're a big, strong, tough guy, why can't you handle the pain? (CIA is basically calling Bane a pussy)
"For you"
It would be extremely painful for CIA if he removed Bane's mask
"Oh no, the entire Gotham City Police Department is trapped in the sewers" is a line too stupid even for the Adam West show
why the fuck wouldn't they have kept it like that, it actually sounds pretty good. now if they just took CIA out of the whole thing it could conceivably be a non-meme scene
The first time I saw baneposting on Yea Forums I was so confused. I posted "but that guy (CIA) isn't even called bane"
I understand know
I was gigglin' to myself at first and when he said for you I thought it was fucking hilarious but when those niggas landed into the side of the plane I was sold
first time i saw it i smiled to myself and whispered "we're breaking the conditioning!"
