>"Fast & Furious" spinoff HOBBS & SHAW, starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the lead roles, reportedly features secret cameo appearances from Keanu Reeves, Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart. Reynolds is playing a CIA agent and old friend of Johnson's Luke Hobbs who recruits him to stop the rogue supersoldier played by Idris Elba; Hart plays a wisecracking pilot brought in to transport the duo to Elba's baddie's secret lair; and Reeves plays an elusive criminal mastermind working with Elba's characters. All actors have been optioned to return in the inevitable sequels, alongside female leads Vanessa Kirby and Eiza Gonzalez.
They've been feuding for a while over The Rock's popularity surpassing Diesel's and Universal moving forward with the spinoff instead of fast-tracking FF9. It got so bad they refused to share the screen for FF8, and The Rock and Statham won't be in FF9 at all.
Now The Rock is assembling his own crew with some serious star power, and very liable to become more popular than LA FAMIGLIA in the long run.
