this lazy pos held the First Officer position of the Enterprise for nearly 20 years.
Starfleet had this loser taking up the second in command spot under it's most important Captain in the entire fleet because he simply kept turning down his own command over and over that even the Admirals had to speak to Picard about "the Riker situation" in a few episodes.
Picard HIMSELF told Riker he's dissapointed in him and his lack of career ambitions.
Countless first officers could have received the unique mentorship that Picard provided.
EVEN Q was astonished by Riker's laziness.
