Just saw this has anyone else seen it?
I thought it was embarrassingly bad easily the worst X-men movie worse than Last Stand even worse than Xmen Origins possibly one of the worst movies I'ver seen.
I felt bad for the actors, what a horrible way to end a 20 year movie franchse.
Was this a movie that sucked because of one thing or was it a long list of small problems that added up into a disaster?

Lots and lots of things, they didn't even have any proper villains or real character motivations for anyone.
In 1975, eight-year-old Jean Grey inadvertently uses her telekinesis to cause a car accident that kills her parents. Shortly afterwards, Professor Charles Xavier takes her to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where he mentally blocks the accident from her memories and helps her hone her psychic abilities.
In 1992, the X-Men respond to a distress signal from the space shuttle Endeavour, which is critically damaged by a solar flare. While the X-Men save all of the astronauts, Grey absorbs the solar flare in her body. Her psychic powers are greatly amplified as a result. At the same time, the mental block placed by Xavier is destroyed and she travels to Red Hook after discovering that her father is still alive. The X-Men attempt to take Grey home, but she accidentally kills Mystique and several policemen before flying away.

Grey travels to Magneto's island of mutant refugees to seek assistance in controlling her powers, but is turned away by Magneto after she engages US military forces tasked to arrest her in combat. Grey meets Vuk, a D'Bari who explains to her that she possesses the Phoenix Force, which wiped out the D'Baris' home planet years ago. Meanwhile, Hank McCoy, who feels betrayed by Xavier's manipulation of Grey's memories, allies with Magneto and his mutant refugees to bring down Grey in New York City. The X-Men and Magneto's faction battle each other before Magneto confronts Grey, only to be overpowered by Grey's new abilities. Xavier and Scott Summers stop Vuk from fully absorbing the Phoenix Force from Grey before both the X-Men and Magneto's faction are captured by the U.S. government and placed in a train towards a secret facility.
The train is attacked by Vuk and her D'Bari forces. When the soldiers are overpowered by the shapeshifters, the mutants are freed from their restraints to combat the threat. Vuk once again attempts to drain Grey of the Phoenix Force, but Grey unleashes her full potential and kills Vuk before disappearing into outer space. In the aftermath of the incident, the school is renamed Jean Grey's School for Gifted Youngsters, with McCoy as the new dean. In Paris, Magneto reunites with Xavier to play a game of chess.

So what kind of powers do the bad guys have that lets them go toe to toe with xmen?
The plot sounds like something straight out of Final Fantasy 13, a story so incomprehensible and idiosyncratic that only some autistic nerd could have conjured it up.

Did Magneto get to do anything cool?
He uses a subway car as a battering ram and gets a lot of neat kills in the final fight.
No, well he took a train out of an underground subway to shield himself from cyclops but I feel like he did that in a previous movie for some reason.
Also one the mutants he brought with him to fight Jean Grey the most powerful X-men is a guy who can hit people with his hair.
Also he tries to kill her cause she kills Jennifer Lawrence then changes his mind for no real reason.
What does Quicksilver do? Does he have another slo-mo scene?

So basically the ending of Days of Future Past doesn’t matter anymore? Like that future and then Logan was the endgame and they were supposed to fill in the blanks. Way to fuck it up even more.

Jean sacrifices herself to defeat the aliens, Xavier realizes he's too controlling with the X-Men and goes on a long sabbatical, leaving Beast in charge of the school. Cyclops renames it in Jean's honor. Magneto tracks Xavier down to France and they play chess while discussing how they've come a long way, and the movie ends with the firebird flying in the night sky teasing that Jean is still alive.

I went into this with low expectations and was still disappointed with how awful it is at least with Bryan make em Singer you knew you were getting a 5/10 even Brett Ratners movie wasn't this bad.
