It doesn't. Complete waste of time and a shit movie.

This. It never gets scary if you're not from reddit.

Do yourself a favor and skip Hereditary too, it's the same boring horseshit.

no one gets scared by horror since 1999, why do you people still think horror is mean to be scary?

I was angry after finishing that. It was a bigger waste of time than The Witch.

I'm glad Yea Forums has finally come to its senses on these awful Reddit bait A24 films. Le dark atmosphere isn't enough to make a movie watchable.

REEEEEEEE ATMOSPHERE

It's friggin superior!!!

it doesnt

Shitty edit

I liked it. It’s not scary and I wish they didn’t try to push it as horror. It’s a folk tale. Literally taken from stories from that time period.

Its not a scary movie. It has a spooky atmospehere and some shocking moments.

Wait until the apple scene. The display of acting and dialog from the boy freaked me out the most.

This and the scene where the dad finally breaks down and cries for his kids. Man I felt bad for the dude. Acting was top notch

It gets scary when you realise swn be your gf

In a couple months you're going to see a massive shill wave for a film called The Lighthouse starring Robert Patterson. Make sure you skip that one too. It's going to be 2+ hours of the same uneventful soi garbage, but Reddit is going to go crazy for it since it's shot on black and white film (which is like catnip for Redditor pseuds) and it's made by the same director as VVitch.

I am shilling for it now after seeing it.
Looking forward for you to get triggered by someone talking about non capeshit films in future aswell

I love shit about witches and witchcraft in general so I loved it.

There's a baby literally getting mashed into a pulp by an old decomposing hag in the first 5 minutes though

Ree

>Eraserhead still on that shit list

still seething.

banned from picking movies for movie night with friends because of this shitshow and Yea Forums recommended it

Lmao

I liked it
Granted I never understood the appeal of the "horror" genre and someone recommended it to me because "it is different"
It only has one "oh shit!" moment

Based, can’t believe retards still watch movies

the lead is a qt and I liked the interpretation of the devil plus the vvitches looked icky exeptt for the qts bum I give it a 7/10
The last horror movie that I remember scaring me is [rec.]

imagine being afraid of a movie. I liked the movie, but it's bascially a supernatural drama.

itt: braindead zoomers waiting for their jumpscare. Kill yourselves please.

This is the kind of person who watches and enjoys shit like the witch. Embarrassing meme spouting manchild

>villain is a goat
Lmao

slit your wrists you pathetic manchild weeb tranny

What, my sister was real excited for it, it is truly not worth the time? Anything good? Doesn't have to be recent, we watched The Thing a few weeks back and had a blast

>he watches movies for pleasure
ISHIGGYDIGGYDOO

If she enjoyed The Thing she'll love it.
It's only plot point mental midgets that hate it

tbf there isnt a single scary horror movie. It's a fucking movie whats there to be scared of lmao like nigga how can you be scared of a bunch of picture flashing really fast.

It's suspense, it's a period drama, but it's not a horror movie. If you can't appreciate the impeccable atmosphere, authentic dialog and quality performances, you are a moron with terrible taste.

>insidious
>sinister
>annabelle
>making fun of tropes

fucking what
who made this

It doesn't get scary, per se, but it is spooky. It's better to watch in the fall.

I wouldn't call it scary, but interesting and a fairly neat look at what the early settlers feared

First rule of Yea Forums
Yea Forums is always wrong

Dubs has it right. Hereditary was just awful.

A retard who edited a good chart without thinking, this is the original

Attached: SOI4.jpg (2300x2300, 604K)

Wrong pic, this is the original

Attached: SOI4.jpg (2300x2278, 2.07M)

still SEETHING i see

Wow that is scary, in fact it's downright horrifying and makes you feel dread in the marrow of your bones that doesn't feel like it's ever going to go away until you die

Attached: 1536293760629.jpg (1500x1115, 389K)

Hereditary is dogshit but the Witch is actually good. I don't understand why the two are even compared.

Do people ITT really not like The Witch? I think it's great, really compelling performances and cinematography.

your friends are retards

it's a good movie. some people just don't like it because it is my le epin scary movie. It's sort of just a period piece about a family.

Ok, which tropes did Insidious make fun of? I'll wait.

>that picture

I don't remember seeing a monster like that in the movie.

>It Comes At Night
Good shit

It is a good movie, but not for you.

so, what are good no-onions horror movies? texas chainsaw massacre? hostel?

he literally (literally) enjoys flicks like The Nun

Scary movies are a shit fucking genre for tasteless fratbros. I respect that the VVitch is just a cabin fever movie with solid performances.

Attached: salad.png (1238x1276, 1.29M)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a classic, Hostel is edgy bullshit.

first Hostel was good m8

Attached: 1557102525974.png (1080x1020, 475K)

This unironically. The Witch shits all over Hereditary.

>I respect that the VVitch is just a cabin fever movie with solid performances.
THANK YOU
Somebody actually gets it.
