>He continues, “And it’s very ‘Heart of Darkness.’ It’s sorta like, if you got ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘2001’ in a giant mash-up and you put a little [Joseph] Conrad in there and you hope its as good. But it’s probably not. I’m being silly. But those were the influences.”

>Pitt as an astronaut Is this a comedy?
Evan Jones
Why? Pitt is pretty decent actor when he has a good director he can give a great performance.
Benjamin Nelson
If they pass physical requirements it doesn't matter.

Xavier Lopez
He's a pretty boy and below average actor. Watch his stellar performances in 12 monkeys and the final scene of Seven
Tyler Taylor
space based
Thomas Lewis
Wait who's Conrad? I thought this was a Brad Pitt movie, is he a co-star?
Gavin Bennett
Watching 12 Monkeys at this very moment. Weird movie, but interesting concept. Lots of 90s cringe.
Logan Sullivan
Better buy a bottle now, mate.

The Conrad/AN influence was already big on Z. It's about the "it'll be good" comment. I've been following Gray for years and he's often insecure and self-deprecating. He's a typical kike, high opinion of himself but also suffers when he's not being validated. Really suffers from being unrecognized in the US and with the industry despite coming up as a prodigal kid and worshipped in European arthouse circles.
Xavier Turner
He was good in Killing Them Softly, Moneyball, The Tree of Life, Burn After Reading, Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Twelve Monkeys. He is also decent in some roles where he doesn't act that much like Fight Club, Ocean's Eleven. He can also be terrible like in Interview with the Vampire, 12 Years a Slave and World War Z. It really depends on the director, with a good director who can play on his strengths he is able to give a good performance. Gray is a good director, Pitt plays slightly autistic astronaut in the film so i think he will do a good job.
Jace Diaz
Gray is quite funny, his TIFF talk is pretty good.
Robert Davis
where is everyone getting this info that Pitt plays an autist?
