This is quite literally one of the most depressing and hard to watch tv series I've ever seen. It does a good job of showing the incompetence involved in all levels of Soviet government and administration that went into the nuclear meltdown and to top it all off, it ends on a melancholic sad note where the "heroes" get no reward or vindication for doing the right thing. The hardest part for me has to come from the sacrifices that many of them made - knowing that death will come to them one way or another either by radiation or a KGB agent, they chose to make a heroic sacrifice because someone had to do it. Fuck, this shit just has me all moody and dead inside tbhonest.

It's a good argument for the fact that bureaucrats, technocrats, and intellectuals cannot manage the complexities of modern societies. This is the central reason for the collapse of the USSR, famines under Stalin, economic crash under Gorbachev's "liberal" reforms, all failed because government's cannot manage all aspects of a runaway rapidly changing society. America's victory in the Cold War was validation that our best chance of economic stability is left in the hand of the free markets, as indifferent as they are to utilitarian values of the human wellbeing and wealth disparities.

Shut up
This is true. USSR had committees and subcommittees for everything under the sun and the bureaucratic machine could not keep up. This was not helped by the fact they promoted based on allegiance to the Party and not actual competence.
>depressing and hard to watch
or epically tragic? we stole fire from the gods and as punishment our bodies basically wither away from within, like the proverbial eagle said to daily eat away the liver of prometheus.
failure is somewhat depressing but failure on a mythological level isnt so depressing for me its kind of awsome
>This was not helped by the fact they promoted based on allegiance to the Party and not actual competence.
That happened all over the Eastern bloc. It's the reason everything went to shit.
I was actually pleasantly surprised. For nuclear kino it was upbeat and cheerful.
Nothing on Threads or When the Wind Blows. Even for Russia kino its practically a comedy.
Series is 10/10.
Agreed and i watched it in bed with my gf. Stupid selfish bitch but she since she didnt inhale dust and debris she wasnt a danger to others after. A load of strokes and assumably miscarriages later and the credits say she still lives in Kiev with her son. Hope the poor fucker isnt some bedbound leuekemia/deformed mutant helllife.
you're right to feel dumbfounded but that's the nature of women and being ok with it is the nature of "love"
You are literally anti social autist. Seriously get checked.
have sex posting is bad enough online, but they do it in real life? oh no no no
i'm never watching chernobyl because i heard about the dog thing and there's no way i'm watching that shit
This is also the prime factor behind Venezuela's ongoing collapse (especially in their oil industry). Technical experts of questionable loyalty were replaced or put under the direction of loyal party figures who did not understand the realities of the industry. This has led to inefficiency and higher failure rates, eventually to the point where the industry is only a fraction as productive as it was before.
The problem with the climate push is twofold:
1) They have yet to produce a model that works properly - one that doesn't just fit past data, but accurately predicts the future - because modelling how CO2 effects atmospheric water vapor and the water cycle is nightmarishly challenging. (Water vapor, not CO2, is the primary greenhouse gas on this planet.)
2) The solutions being offered by politicians are unacceptable. No one in a developed nation will accept a reduction in living standards, period (for proofs, see the protests that have been going on routinely since the fall in France over a modest fuel tax). The only plans so far that have any chance of success rely on massive expansions of base-load nuclear power. To do that effectively, changes will need to be made to both reduce regulatory costs while not making sacrifices in terms of safety.

America is being indoctrinated by Russia, and has been for the past 30-40 years. The Cold War never gonna ended, it just moved from your tv screens in the form of military parades and moon landings, to behind closed doors in the form espionage and infiltration of influential political groups/spearheading of campaigns for these groups. There is nothing you can do about it.
This needs to be stickied.
The show was very anti-communism though so rather the opposite would happen, if anything.

um sweetie, communism is fine, it's just bad when run by tyranical facist leaders like Trump
Yes it was a dumb thing to do, but some people sometimes do dumb things for love and think they will be safe through the power of love. Notice, most of the firemens wives didnt expose themselves to the amount of rads like she did.

That scene from episode 2:
"At the Belorussian Communist Party headquarters, Ulana meets deputy secretary Garanin (Victor McGuire). He initially resists her information, which prompts her to say, “I’m a nuclear physicist. Before you were deputy secretary you worked in a shoe factory.”"
This scene was very much anti communsim.

It's a shame that HBO didn't show the brave women and POC that helped clear those roofs too.

All liquidators are forgotten, some years ago they received some pittance from government, at least in Belarus. Now they are no more that waste material, dying in their 50s-60s from cancer.
No one gives a shit about them, same story with Afghanistan veterans.
in fairness there was practically no information on the effects of radiation, yeah she should've listened, but she (and many others) just believed they were burns from the fire.

>capitalism is best because it`s better then having literal morons making decisions over shit they know nothing about
i'd go as far as saying better but not best. the profit motivet has led some people to make some wildly irresponsible and outright dangerous decisions.
is this show actually good beyond retreading anti soviet political stuff?
what would be better, user?
>how is it possible that a random woman in Soviet Union in 1986 did not have a perfect understanding of radiation related hazards, I mean I'm sure the government did it's best to explain everything!
Nobody can predict climate change because that would require predicting CO2 output, which would require predicting industrial growth, which would require predicting human nature. That model would have to be able to predict how many factories the Chinese government might decide to build tomorrow. It's impossible. What climate change scientists can predict, is what would happen if CO2 output stayed indefinitely at its currently level (whereas in reality it is ever growing), and those predictions are bad enough.
>The Cold War never gonna ended

Out of curiosity, how should this be approached from a pro-soviet angle?

odd
something that doesn't incentivise the sort of rekless and shortterm thinking you see in chernobyl. If you compare one of those commisions from the show to a corporate boardroom the only main difference is the chainsmoking.
The first episode was incredibly well made, but the British accents are distracting. The performers themselves are phenomenal, but I don’t see why they couldn’t go for a Russian cast.
this. before chernobyl the only thing people had to go by was nagasaki and Hiroshima and then people were mostly shown the effect on grund zero. If people knew how fucked entré generations can bwcome from radioactive poisoning they might not have been to keen on havibg the things so close by therefore it was downplayed. it was also downplayed in the west so people wouldn't be anymore discusted by america then they allready were for using the bombs in the firat place

You reek of Amerimutt.
Episodes 1-3 are easily the best episodes, they all have such raw and differing energies. All this accomplished was to make me desperately want Threads to be remade into a miniseries as well. Also a Dyatlov Pass miniseries with supernatural elements while we're at it.
>Dyatlov Pass
Did you watch the found footage horror movie about that? I thought it was decent for what it was. Not great, not terrible.
Hello Putinbot
Its okay, as is the game. Personally, if there had to be a season 2 for The Terror, it should have been about Dyatlov's Pass.
It s Kremlebot
Yeah, that's a pretty good idea. Would also like that.
Lol
Yeah I watched it. Not great, not terrible. I like the time traveling donkeys
What's season 2 about then?
There is none. The Terror was a mini series based on a book. If it were a season 2 it would probably be something entirely different but since The Terror is a "what if"-story about a real mystery it would make sense to do another mini series with the same director and cast about the Dyatlov Pass mystery.
Japanese internment camps
Didn't know about this. I actually thought there wasn't going to be another season at all since it was a mini series based on a book. Feels weird to call it The Terror when it now has zero to do with the book that's also called The Terror. Either way, I will definitely watch it.
All these people calling for a solution for climate-change that doesn't include massive development of new nuclear-power plants just tells me it's a bunch of horseshit.
this was fine for me
what really depressed the shit out of me was Sagan's Cosmos.

One of liquidators was black!
>making it about Unit 731

Yes they were. And what they did was never used because the core cooled enough on its own to solidify before it melted through the concrete foundation so it didn't need the cooling tunnel which the miners excavated
I feel the same way, OP. Knowing Legasov died alone, persecuted, and with immense guilt when he was a fucking hero fucks me up. The ending clip with real footage of him made me sob like a little bitch.

And also to get the moronic NIMBY public onside with building new nuclear power plants.
Nukes need to be aggressively branded as green power, every MW of capacity delivered up by Coal and Gas needs to be replaced with nuclear.

i feel that would be a dull show. the crocodile stuff happened over one night. maybe If you dragged that out over multiple episodes idk

If you fucking say “carbon tax” I’m going to smack you

This is why people don’t care
For anyone wondering the writer of the show had a bonding sesh with Stephen King on twitter that somehow this show is Anti-Trump
Yeah the actors and producers talking about how “now more than ever” we must concern ourselves with “government lies and hiding from the truth”
Like what the absolute fuck? If you think trump or brexit are examples of “lies” or “liars” compared to any of the leadership in the last 30 years you either a psychotic partisan, or total retarded fool.
They conscripted people from all over the Soviet Union, not just Ukraine, to Chernobyl..
The Soviet Union also had diplomatic relations with African nations. Also:

ecological global stalinism. massive projects in infastructure and basically every other field, mass culling of dissenters and forced massrelocating of people. unfortunatly the possibility of this happening is even lower than the risk of us solving it by the cucked shit politicians go on about today.
The idea would be that people would use less of it or that since is a form of littering (you are polluting) you should pay for it.
I rather see something that only attacks the larger companies.
Also back to the thread, there was an article by MIT at how green energy is still not enough and we have to keep relying on nuclear.
>which would require predicting industrial growth, which would require predicting human nature
That's the least uncertain and most predictable factor in climate change.
>That model would have to be able to predict how many factories the Chinese government might decide to build tomorrow
That's not the problem. One can set reasonable upper and lower bounds on that number because we have good data about the number of factories currently in China, the number in more developed countries, historical factory construction trends, population trends, energy needs, the amount of physical land to put factories on, etc. The difficult thing in climate modeling is sheer number of variables, degrees of freedom, and lack of reliable past data. The models have to be drastically oversimplified in order to manage the complexity, and when you're talking about something as subtle as +/- 1-2 degrees over a century, the devil is in the details.
>What climate change scientists can predict, is what would happen if CO2 output stayed indefinitely at its currently level
No, they aren't even close to being able to do that, at least not with any certainty. There are too many factors with too much uncertainty and too many complex and poorly-understood interactions to predict anything meaningfully even if CO2 is held static.
add maybe $50 billion dollars to mandatory spending for a rainy day fund that can't be accessed by say 2070 so that by that point there's a few trillion dollars for FEMA projects in the event we need to evacuate the eastern seaboard. towards the end of the century we'll have a much better picture of how it's gonna shake out and so we need to at the very minimum have the resources set aside to adapt. because shit doesn't REALLY start hitting the fan until 2100, but we'll be having to deal with massive droughts, fires, floods, and potentially atmospheric changes from gigantic releases of methane deposits in the arctic which would require some kind of underground habitat.
the biggest problem with climate change deniers is they deny it. the biggest problem with climate change "activists" is they think they have any idea what they're dealing with or that they can stop it.
I'm pretty pessimistic honestly
based
These are not workable solutions, too much asked of too many who won’t comply
My advocacy is no longer on prevention that’s a lost cause we should just concentrated on what’s going to happen and now to mitigate it.
Anything else is a waste of time
Seems dramatic, none of the more recent predictions have come to pass and the absolute worst and respectable predictions are deal level rise of 10-30 feet
We can deal with that
i'll just file you under "mass culling" then
Sounds exactly like Pathfinder
If you believe that strongly why don’t you kill your self you fucking tyrant?
So you're bright enough to realize that the activists have no idea what they're talking about, but not smart enough to recognize that the most extreme predictions are precisely that? Good job. Everything will probably be fine. If anything happens at all, Northern Europe will get nicer weather and a slightly longer growing season. Some coastal cities might have to relocate some low-lying neighborhoods. We're far more likely to be wiped out by a global pandemic, asteroid, or major volcanic eruption than climate change.
'cause i not a dissenter silly :^)
>watch that ep/scene with my brother and his gf
>brother's gf calls the woman a dumb fuck for being near him and touching him
I would agree with probably the number one criticism which is that we really don't understand that well and our predictions have been off (largely fueled by celebrity melodrama).
I do disagree however with the alternative view which is basically that it's not that big of a deal when you're talking about something as fundamental as global temperature. that effects literally every global system. often I feel like people are looking at this like they see a patient with a temperature of 102 that is steadily increasing and all they say is "well what's the worst that can happen, they're just gonna sweat more." planetary temperature is more than just "gee, kinda warm for winter eh? guess I won't put on a sweater." we're talking about accelerated decay of biomass, acidity of soil, literally every organic process on earth being profoundly effected.
It goes really deep is all I'm saying, and so we shouldn't get our hopes up that the fever will break
2008 pretty put that wisdom of crowds bullshit to rest, user, let's not try to dig it up
>as a credentialed expert i'm ordering you to vote for hillary clinton you racist trash

the comparison actually works when you realize that trump is the reactor itself. the soviet bureaucracy is republican establishment and the DNC trying to regain control of an out-of-control paradigm shift

A lot of climate change fanatics no realizing they're Dyatlovs as they furiously seek to punish anyone who dare question their self delusions

In the end it doesn't matter. The message of the show is vague enough that it could mean any regime trying to lie to its people. Be it Trump as the writers planned, or the "diversity is our strength" "IQ has nothing to do with genetics" "gender is a social construct" "we're all going to die from greenhouse gasses" regimes around the world
It was as crap show but I Khomyuk kinda salvaged it a little bit. She was, thankfully, a part of every single substory and had that feminine energy where her kindness and wisdom guide the men away from even bigger catastrophe.
The rest of it is just a trite case study of white men being lying, gatekeeping, power hungry, toxic pieces of shit as usual.
Overall: meh.
1.9/10
>The difficult thing in climate modeling is sheer number of variables, degrees of freedom, and lack of reliable past data.
The biggest reason why climate models have been wrong so far is because they fail to account for all of the positive feedback loops that exist in the atmosphere which will make climate change impossible to halt or slow down
>warming oceans increase the amount of water vapor in the air which is a powerful greenhouse gas which increases the warming, etc
>ice is highly reflective and melting poles and glaciers therefore increases the amount of effective energy absorbed by the surface, which increases the pace of warming, which melts more ice, etc.
>a substantial amount of energy in the oceans is spent freezing the north pole every year (the transition from liquid to ice traps energy), if the climate becomes too warm for ice to form (the Blue Ocean Event), this will present a massive sudden upsurge in average ocean temperature thus amplifying all the other effects
>there are massive stores of methane underneath the polar ice caps and canadian/siberian tundras that may or may not be released when the ice melts.
Climate models aren't wrong because they're too aggressive. They're wrong because they aren't aggressive enough.
Fun fact: the models that predicted a 10m rise in ocean sea level was wrong. Not because the 10m number is too high, but because the model failed to account for sea level rise due to meltwater from land-based glaciers in Greenland, Canada, and Russia. The number is actually much higher, closer to 20m.
Fun fact: something that's only recently come to light is that grain yields drop by about 10% for every +1 C of warming. This does not account for any additional losses due to desertification or anything else, it's just due to the plants being grown outside their preferred temperature range. We will hit +2 C by 2030. We will hit +3 C by 2050. We will hit +5 C by 2100.
>Also back to the thread, there was an article by MIT at how green energy is still not enough and we have to keep relying on nuclear.
Cite it.
Nah, I'd say about 6/10. But Khomyuk alone is like 4 of those points, the rest is the convincing set design and good acting from everyone.
Don't worry, the chink, Indian, and African hordes of climate refugees will kill you all in the mad scramble for lebensraum. No need for suicide.
it's unironically funded by the oil industry to shill solar and wind (both owned by oil) so they can charge even more for worse power generation output
>but not smart enough to recognize that the most extreme predictions are precisely that?
The doomsday scenarios that all revolve around a 5C warming by 2100 are referencing the median, middle-of-the-road, prediction, not the extreme.

Bryukhanov is portrayed advising against evacuating Pripyat but he advocated the opposite in reality.
While communism was obviously widely plagued by this shit, it would be a mistake to think other systems are automatically immune. This is what happens when loyalty and "follow the leader" is prized more than actual competence or credentials. Totalitarian states are extremely prone to this systemic issue and pretty much always end up with it, but it can happen in democracies too.
The issue with communism is that it requires the party to take totalitarian control of the nation in order to transition the economy away from the free market and align it with communist principles, and then the party must voluntarily give this power up before the transition can be complete. Good luck finding an organization willing to do that.
What are you talking about? Ordinary russian people are portrayed as heroes. Only the Soviet government is depicted in a bad light, which is not far from a real life.
The current government is worse. It's all the hilariously egregious incompetency and nepotism of the Soviet regime, but without the economic output that the Soviets shat out. Their whole country is a petrol state like the arabs.
Good show but fuck anglos
It's a show for effeminate redditors. Notice how everyone who liked it also hung out in The Terror generals and pretended they were masculine for watching a TV show?
>he got a "have sex" post irl
>Everything will probably be fine. If anything happens at all, Northern Europe will get nicer weather and a slightly longer growing season.
Central and some parts of Western Europe already aren't "fine". We've had historical, unprecedented droughts for five years straight now. The number of so-called "super-tropical days" here (35+°C) has gone from the average of 0 to 8 in just twenty years. It may not seem like a big deal, but agricultural yields are becoming shit years after year due to nearly constant droughts. Just last year, the biggest river in the country was just 30 cm deep in a place that normally serves as a crucial point for river cargo transportation.
People think, "oh, I don't mind warmer weather", but there's an almost infinite chain reaction of effects there.
What country is this?
>our best chance of economic stability is left in the hand of the free markets
You know, until there's no more room for expansion. Then the human race has just gotta pop off.

Keep up the "everything is fine" delusion, buddy. The human race has hit the wall. Even if climate change wasn't real and waiting to fuck our shit up, and it is, the economics of mass industrialized agriculture will dustbowl all arable soil by 2100, depopulate the oceans by 2100, and render insects extinct (all insects) by 2100. What the fuck do you think will happen to civilization once we yoink the foundations of life on earth out from underneath ourselves, and growing food becomes basically impossible? At least when climate change rolls around and renders vast swaths of the planet uninhabitable by men, the planet will have room to replenish the soil and bedrock lifeforms.
The glass she was going to pour in was turned up, where (radioactive) dust would settle in it. He wanted the glass without the dust. She assumed him to be superstitious.

You can have a progressive carbon tax that gives money to the lowerest 60% of families in the form of a rebate cheque like we have in canada. In france it was a flat rate meaning low income families were disproportionately affected leading to the yellow vest movement
Trump has lowered the bar significantly for the amount of internal inconsistency people will put up with. Brexit is the kind of retardation I’d expect though
It's even worse than that. Despite all the terrible, stupid, inneficient bullshit of the USSR, the central ideology was that things should be run rationally, fairly, and on the basis of meritocracy. It didn't work that way in practice (obviously), but the idea was there and there was at least some vague common understanding that it's something to strive for. Meanwhile, the current Russian regime is openly ideologically nihilist - everybody is terrible, everybody is lying, so why should anybody care if we rob the country blind and build ourselves mind-bogglingly luxury palaces and buy ten mega-yachts.
Considering how high the oil prices have been since 2002, Russia should be very rich even with rampant Saudi Arabia tier corruption. But it's not.
Don't try totalitarianism, kids.
>We're far more likely to be wiped out by a global pandemic, asteroid, or major volcanic eruption than climate change
Stop thinking in terms of "will the human race as a whole survive." Think more in terms of "will myself and my immediate loved ones survive."
Fact: the Yellow River, Yangzhe River, Indus River, Ganges River, and Mekong River are all fed by Himalayan glacial meltwater. Glaciers that will not exist in the very near future because of the world warming. By mid century, approximately 2 billion people will have their homes destroyed by torrential flooding as the glaciers begin melting in high gear. Followed by the near-complete elimination of their water supplies. These 2 billion people will be forced to pack up and move. Your lands will look awfully tempting. You eurofags literally do not have enough bullets to kill them all.
>Russia should be very rich even with rampant Saudi Arabia tier corruption. But it's not.
I mean, it's not like Saudi Arabia is that rich either. Sure the royal family swims in cash, but I dont think the average citizen sees much of that money.
who gives a shit we are long dead by then lmao
You'll be dead because the hordes of climate refugees will have killed you. Not because you died of old age.

If this happens in modern Russia, how will the government deal with it?

Good post. Chernobyl is a magnificent reminder of some of the limitations and the dangerous outcomes of such artificial societies. There's something to be said about the chaos embracing aspect of capitalism, somewhat mimicking evolution itself. Of course in the present age, states have new tools to maintain mass control. Gotta wonder what Stalin's twitter would look like
so true. stalin was gonna reduce the partys influence but then all his bodyguards were gulaged and he got a stroke. wierd coincidence
>stalin was gonna reduce the partys influence
What
Then why hasn't it happened "10 years from now!!!" like they've been saying since the '70s retard?
Stalin would think that the Chinese social credit score system was an amazing idea, and probably would have implemented it first.
Because oil companies suppressed accurate findings and sensationalized false ones. They knew based on their own internal research exactly what would happen way back in the 80s, and they were spot on.
Don't worry, a new ice age is coming actually.
>sea peoples 2: nuclear boogaloo
yepp, sure is gonna be a wild one
>America's victory in the Cold War was validation that our best chance of economic stability is left in the hand of the free markets, as indifferent as they are to utilitarian values of the human wellbeing and wealth disparities.
Yeah, enjoy your new Great Depression coming this year btw.
The show has piqued my curiosity and has led me to look at other nuclear disasters, which I recommend interested anons take a look at.

First Japanese nuclear accident. An intern is tasked with refilling a part of the reactor and rather than slowly pour the fluid in, dumps it all at once, giving himself 11,000 times the safe yearly exposure amount in less than a second.

Both occurred at Los Alamos. One involved a nuclear reaction occurring within a mixing tank when it was thought impossible, the other had a scientist make a mistake, exposing him to 36 sielverts.

Americans thought they'd poison this poor chap with plutonium for "science" by injecting him with a radioactive isotope. He lived a full life with no related health issues. Holds the record for largest sielvert exposure and living.

Russian nuclear submarine's reactor's shielding fails due to poor welding (naturally), dooming most of the crew to an early death. Its importance is downplayed as failure would have resulted in unchecked nuclear fission in the ocean.
brainlet, you were born just in time for the graphene age
Stay shortsighted my friend.
the soviets workers after a plan laid out by their "parlament". the last one stalin put forth before dying was going to limit party officials influence and give more democratic power to the individul workplaces. he was murdered for trying to build socialism in a socialist country. sovit went to shit when he died
The 10 year/2030 deadline is based on projections for when blue ocean events will start consistently happening, which is at around +2 C. This is when artic ice basically disappears permanently. That is the point at which these positive feedback loops really start kicking in. It doesnt represent the ultimate culmination of climate change. It represents the point at which climate change will be impossible to stop even if we wanted to.
Fact: the world's weather patterns are dictated by ocean currents. These currents are themselves driven by temperature gradients between the ocean at the equator and poles. Since ice traps heat, the melting of the artic ice sheets will cause these temperatures to be much more equalized than they are now. This will slow the currents, and thus slow down the weather patterns over the globe. This is the basis for the "wet parts will get wetter, dry parts will get drier" mantra that's often heard in climate change predictions -- if the weather patterns slow down then the clouds spend more time in any one place and thus dump more rain, or alternatively, the clouds never get to where they formally got to and thus cause drought. This is also why hurricanes are getting stronger, since the storms are spending more time over the warm water before making landfall.
>no dude trust me this mysterious super technology that doesnt actually exist yet will save us
Meanwhile in the real world, we are fucked.

>sovit went to shit when he died
It was already shit user, mostly thanks to his totalitarian bullshit.
KSA citizens pay almost no taxes and receive monthly allowances, student stipends etc. even if they aren't considered poor. Their welfare is so massive that only about 30-40% of working age Saudis actually hold any jobs; 2/3 of all workers in KSA are foreigners. Also keep in mind that Saudi Arabia started from basically nothing - 100 years ago it was a pile of sand with only like two or three cities of any relevance.
Russia, on the other hand, has lower GDP per capita and median wages than tiny post-Soviet Baltics.
OMG WATERWORLD TOTALLY HAPPENING!!!
Yes, the ice sheet is melting you fucking stupid faggot
nsidc.org
at least 400 died directly and a lot of lives were probably cut short by a few years.
fuck ice sheets, and fuck polar bears
Even those estimates were too conservative, since they didn't take into account the explosive industrialization of China.
The ice sheet matters you retard because it's a massive heat sink that keeps everything stable. Once it's gone, global warming becomes unstoppable.
>RUSSIA BAD
>MURICA GOOD
Actually they're dead on with current predictions of a roughly 3 C increase by 2050 and 5 C increase by 2100. As said, all you have to do is follow the exponential growth curve of the Chinese economy to predict their future emissions, under the assumption that they won't curb coal.
Is it just me or is there more graphite getting out there ?
Because it's a low quality post and breaks the site rules, in that it tries to incite flaming.

What does it mean to be "unoficially" jewish?
>closing narration literally says any system can make the same mistakes if it buys into the same fallacies

Go to bed, comrade.
Have sex.
Most Jews in the former USSR were (and still are) non-practicing, so they often don't list themselves as Jewish. I assume that's what the picture means.
go back
oh look it's that guy again
Its actually tamer in the show then what actually happened. In reality one of the puppied they shot survived and when they were burrying the bodies in concrete it started to struggle and cry out. They wanted to shoot it and put it out of its misery, but they were out of ammo. So it was burried alive instead. They didnt put that part in as it would have been too much.
The last episode was boring AF
it's not much, but consider that for example temperatur rises, the permaforst ground in siberia starts to slowly melt down, methane gasses beneath explode, now we have even slightly higher temperature, a bit more perma frost gets melted again and releases the gasses, this could go on and on in different cases, just because we threw nature off balance with our own actions, maybe not so drastic like a comet striking earth, or a supervolcano eruption but still enough to notice a difference
>>he wasn't watching smartly
yea, he is just delusional
>ITT no one here read a fucking history book
Sorry, only WW2 history (the important part) allowed.
wow, the global temperature will rise by a few degrees and it is going to be the end of the world. I am sick and tired of this dramatisation, this planet has gone through multiple ice ages, volcanoes blocking the sun and a meteorite impact leading to the extinction of the dinosaurs, yet we are still here.
Life and planet earth will adapt to climate change and it's not going to be the end of the world like how people deem it to be.
Why didn't they hire real PoC to play the miners instead of getting white racist males to wear blackface and erase and belittle the struggles of our people? PoC literally saved the Soviet Union and the world, and this is the thanks we get, bigots.
you're right, but it'll get real shitty when all the indians and chinese immigrate to europe because their lands have gotten desertified
See Dumbass
Oh and if you think that the USA and Canada are exempt from this, know that basically all of Latin America will become uninhabitable due to the combination of extreme heat and humidity, so you'll be expecting a wave of hundreds of millions of Hispanics flooding north all at once into your lands. That also doesnt count the asians migrating into Canada by way of Siberia.
imagine actually thinking this, or even knowing nothing about left ideology yet preaching against it
