Yes.
Once you've seen all of TOS, TNG and DS9 and starving for more Starfleet adventures, yes it and Voyager are worth watching. Both are very flawed shows, although i prefer ENT since it has a more likable cast than VOY.
Its not that bad. But mostly also not that good.
Watch it for Tucker and T'Pol's sexy bodies.
I haven't watched TOS yet, actually. I've been meaning to for years.
>shitty fake tits
no thanks
It has a few good moments.
its great better than Voy and std easily
This. Fuck Voyager.
T'Pol is Trek's best hottie.
>I haven't watched TOS yet
Then get on that shit nigger. It's fantastic, well the first two seasons anyway. Season 3 is kinda shit but still watchable and fun. TOS is easily the most colorful and visually interesting Trek series
>T'Pol is Trek's best hottie.
*laughs in borg*
Funny enough, NCIS: New Orleans is the first show whatshisname is/was on that reached at least 100 episodes.
Yeoman Barrows is the best
Is that Roddenberry's wife?
>dont look at the cameltoe
>dont look at the cameltoe
>dont look at the cameltoe
No this was
>hearing that theme song after years have gone by
its OK, but i would watch it last.
there are some tongue in cheek gung-ho moments too but one does finish respecting the determination of the crew which is what is was all about anyway. shame it ended early.
it was so ASHAMED of being Star Trek that they didn't even whip out the name until they faced CANCELLATION
It's the STD of its time, only playing lip service to Star Trek while rewriting canon and changing things. It's more of a SG-1 ripoff.
Majel was lovely.
imagine being this drunk on unipolarity. they were basically saying 'why do I need a federation anyways, humans are the GOAT. also fuck kant'. when the only enemy left where goatfuckers in bumfuck pakistan.
Enterprise is like having a bukkake load of salty cum all over you. If you're dying of sunstroke, you'll rub it on your skin, but that doesn't make it a pleasant experience.
Just watch North Star. One of the best Trek eps period.
the biggest problem with Ent is it was not allowed time to grow. like the other shows the first 2-3 seasons were iffy. after that everything starts to gel. the last 2 seasons of Ent were good.
the Xindi War arch is what Voyager should have been. things that happened to the ship matter and last episode to episode.
>'why do I need a federation anyways, humans are the GOAT. also fuck kant'. when the only enemy left where goatfuckers in bumfuck pakistan.
what the fuck are you even talking about
So... I shouldn't watch it? I don't want cum all over my skin.
Reminder that this should've been the ENT theme.
>the biggest problem with Ent is it was not allowed time to grow. like the other shows the first 2-3 seasons were iffy.
Yeah because people totally gave STD three seasons before writing it off. Fuck off, if you can't sell it in the first two seasons it's fucking over.
>watch Trek
>british country redneck music starts playing
This. Reminder that the "le first seasons of every trek were bad!" is a meme pushed by ENT apologists.
Like most things about ENT the theme song was extraordinarily cringe, even for its time
firefly theme > any shitty star trek theme
I saw Scot Bakula at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
i am suprised but that is almost as good.
I've never been so bored in my life. It makes DS9's intro sound interesting.
Seven is legit ugly.
>ENT was extraordinarily cringe, even for its time
ftfy
I still love it
If you're desperate for Trek it will do the job, but you probably won't enjoy yourself.
Based Bakula
Truth. Her face makes me want to vomit.
>B5 that low
Off, that's a big yikes for me
kys faggot your charts are gay you are gay
It's just a shitty rip off of DS9 with less lore, less species, a boring in comparison set up and no interesting characters aside from lizard dude.
BSG would have been good if it weren't for the ending
It's bait. He's baiting you right now. Don't fall for it. Don't reply to it.
>looking at her face instead of her tits and thighs
found the gay
but the first 2-3 seasons of TNG/DS9/Voy were all very VERY hit or miss.
STD came out in a very different time. if any of the older shows were new today there would be a shitstorm about how leftist and SJW pandering they are.
See this when you open the door to your quarters. What do?
Tell her I killed fiddy of her boys back in dubya dubya two.
if you had real taste and her visage wasn't so monstrously hideous you wouldn't need to put a bag over your waifu's face
Brutally rape her.
>no Farscape
Fuck Peacekeepers and FUCK JANNIES!
Can't rape the willing, user.
Give her my BBC.
Hottest star trek chicks
1. Tilly
2. Uhura
3. Burnham/Troi
4. T'Pol
5. B'Elanna
Well done, have some Hoshi tummy.
She won't be willing after she sees how ugly I am.
Old Trek shows came out when progressivism was still cool and edgy, not blase and cringe-worthy like it is now. TOS is considered extremely sexist and problematic by modern lefties
She doesn't care about looks
she just likes rape
post selfie
Throw a dog at it, flee whilst it consumes the dog
Walk away and find someone who doesn't look like a Neanderthal
Well yeah, the characters even treated women captains as something completely new and unprecedented.
Imagine if the ENT episode with the Columbia captain had come out then.
Jesus Christ, she's fucking hideous, like Richard James as the women in Windowlicker hideous.
>everyone who thinks my gross whores are ugly is a troll
based delusional boomer keeping the trolls in check
Yup. There's many reasons why you can tell that whoever made that chart was just trolling, no top tier Farscape is one of them.
>but the first 2-3 seasons of TNG/DS9/Voy were all very VERY hit or miss.
Nope, it's just a meme. Seasons 1 & 2 are probably Voyager's best and DS9 was very consistent from beginning to end. TNG's first couple of seasons have a different vibe, but they were still enormously popular with higher ratings than any of the subsequent spinoffs.
Moving STD into the post-Nemesis future is a good start, but CBS needs to find a showrunner who actually understands Star Trek and a story editor who can fix the terrible scripts.
TOS was institutionalism, avoiding MAD in the context of the cold war. klingons are soviets.
TNG was transcendental kantian deontology. highest praises to the federation, from now it's time for prosperity for everyone. started during glasnost and perestroika, worf becomes a starfleet officer.
DS9 was thirdworldism - it's a long way to become a stable country (bajor), violence may be needed.
also defensive realist with constant balances-of-power. ffs the name of the 2nd defiant was U.S.S. São Paulo.
ENT was about the role of humans 'full of fiber' driving progress forward. mwhile irl the US has no conventional threats after the gulf war. only threat is non-traditional, from 'crazy terrorists'. it's such a far cry from the nuanced view in DS9, could only have existed in a moment of clear unipolarity in the world system.
hopefully picard/next series will be about the federation being faced by a polity which was previously weak and even friendly. like an imperial bajor. so it would be about the twilight of the UFP.
heard that picard have a brexit vibe, it could work if it focused on separatism and the decadence of the UFP. The UFP, long united, must divide.
the UFP as a scifi polity unfortunately doesn't make sense in the current world, we need something more dialectic.
Here is the thing. conventional warfare we dont have anyone to go round for round with.
if they were gonna do a Trek based on modern issues like those they would have to focus on. how shit cyber security is and how little people in charge understand or care about how bad things are.
>the Pak leds have been chipping away at the Federations computers security protocols for years
>current president and Grand Negus of the Federations ignores it because it helps profits for the ferengi.
If it is you wont like it at all.
They did that story on Ent. Robocop was not pleased with tucker getting pointy ear poon.
Give her really good dick for about 3 weeks and then abruptly stop returning her communicator hails
thinking better, the expanse is the ""trek representation"" of current times. As ENT was US unipolarity, mars vs earth is the thucydides paradox of a Delian US(earth) vs Peloponnesian China(mars).
meanwhile, there is a state-within-a-state controlling things.
nonetheless, the result is not a clear victory for neither side, but the formation of a hegelian triad and the creation of a new system.
meant for
I just started watching star trek and it's honestly the comfiest show i've ever watched, love the 60's space age vibe. when does the show go to shit, if it ever does?
>when does the show go to shit
Most people say season 3 but IMO it's just as good as the rest. Some people are just really sensitive to some cheesy stories.
when you stop enjoying it
>whoops I accidentally replied to a thread first
there is no way they would break up the UFP.
They have hammered it hard from day one that they are stronger together. the last half of DS9 was all about the Klingons, Romulans, Bajorians, and Cardi scum learning this.
yes its great. watch it last. just remember, season one was the tutorial mission. i love it because it has the fury/defiant/tiny ship behind enemy lines aspect
I wish I was black
You forgot
VOY was about imperialism. USA's history as a wild land tamed by brave explorers separated by their homelands and relying only on their ships and abilities to deal with the savages of the new continent.
>shitty fake tits
Did she really get fake tits?
Have you seen them? There's no way they're natural
Yeah, she's got bolt ons. She looks far, far better in clothes.
interesting. I didn't include cause never got to watch VOY, still didn't finish watching TNG and DS9. but it is the next trek on my list.
S1 + 2 okay, basically a better Voyager mashed with TOS. S3 is personally boring as shit, but it's a serial arc that's basically the Voyager Year of Hell over an entire season. S4 past the first 2 episodes is legit like one of the best seasons of Star Trek.
It's all banal secondhand trash reheated in the microwave by untalented hacks cashing in on the Star Trek title.
Watch any episode that features Shran.
You're going to get the breadth of the series without any of the guff.
enterprise is pretty rad
>so it would be about the twilight of the UFP.
We've gotten glimpses of the distant future, which imply a long life for the UFP. There was the scene with the Enterprise-J in Enterprise, and then the time cops have the Federation timeship Relativity. None of this points to a waning Federation.
Join Islam user we are taking this world back from the Shaitan worshipers and the evil Jinn, Imam Mahdi will return soon and deliver us unto Jannah. InshAllah. Bismillah. MashAllah.
It was a missed opportunity only because it expected to last 7 seasons and paced its first season especially too slowly.
The shootouts and the test pilot stories are kino. As well as the formation of the Federation. Shame that was cut so short.
What's the matter, no /trek/ thread to nuke you pathetic fuck?
You can really tell they were pretty much out of ideas by thst point.
It really doesn't go consistently to shit from a quality perspective. It could have gotten several more seasons.
It gets good at S3, S1 and 2 are very slow.
your list is making me cringe and is objectively wrong
this is the only correct answer I chuckled
