Generation Kill > Nothing > Band of Brothers > The Pacific
Band of Brothers obviously, the other two are just shit
this is the only correct answer.
Production order is the only good order.
>Generation Kill
>Shit
this is the only correct answer
FPBP
They're all fantastic, but The Pacific and Generation kill are great for contrasting different eras of marine corps life. Or better yet, read the books they're based on.
Something that's not garbage amerishart propaganda, probably?
>generation kill propaganda
I liked it most out of all of them
>The Pacific over Generation Kill
Terrible opinion. Generation Kill is top banterkino.
Generation Kill blows the fuck out of Band of brothers.
Would definitely watch BoB first, it is like a war film but without the fun oe kino.
Patriarch would just watch Generation kill and skip PoS which is Band of Brothers.
Not watched Pacific.
Watch all of them, in historical order:
1. Band of Brothers
2. Patton
3. The Pacific
4. Thin Red Line
5. M*A*S*H
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. Apocalypse Now
8. Generation Kill
Yeah bro watch The Greatest Story Never Told, now that’s an honest film.
All of them
The right answer is you watch all 3 in order. BoB - TP - GK
Not a compelling show.
Unsere Mütter, Unsere Väter
shit writing, great acting
Not enough action for you?
Generation Kill is undoubtedly the most kino of the three. Then comes The Pacific. Band of Brothers if your favorite board game is CandyLand.
Band of Brothers was cool.
I didn't see The Pacific.
Generation Kill is retarded shit for retarded Murrican vets or wannabe soldiers.
>Generation Kill is retarded shit for retarded Murrican vets or wannabe soldiers.
I see you didn’t watch it
People actually liked The Pacific?
Terrible acting, disjointed story line and too many unnecessary non-combat scenes that weren't even in the books they were based off of.
Generation Kill is the best war series of all time
All of them. Generation Kill is the best and the most realistic of them though.
all 3
>I see you didn’t watch it
I did watch it. As you can see in my post I specifically mentioned the one show in those three I haven't watched.
Why do you consider it retarded shit then?
Generation Kill because it's actually fucking accurate to the source material.
So you completely missed the part where they were getting angry with each other or are disgusted by their actions in the film they watched at the end
A kino series that died too young
The Pacific could have been good if they had divided it into three seasons, each with a separate protagonist (John Basilone, Robert Leckie, and Eugene Sledge), but they decided to cram all three into a single series and it just went to shit.
>Generation Kill is retarded shit for retarded Murrican vets or wannabe soldiers.
No, that's Band of Brothers and The Pacific you're thinking of/
Generation Kill is the only one among them that's actually accurate and not a bunch of jerking off the audience about Le Gud War.
bob, or better yet, the kraut one

The one thing that makes M*A*S*H so enjoyable for me is the restraint from the studio audience. You never hear them laugh at a scene that is supposed to be dramatic thus ruining it.

>brainlet: the post
Wasn’t band of brothers written by someone who was there. I wouldn’t say it’s jacking it off immensely

based Godfather
Anyone got a sit-rep on J-lo?

Band of Brothers was written by Stephen Ambrose, who would've been 8 years old when Band of Brothers takes place.

At least the actual guys were in it. Winters is a cool quaker
Band of Brothers is unironically the best series I've ever seen and is 10/10.
Band of Brothers=Generation Kill >>The Pacific
WTF are they doing? Having a competition who steps first in to the enemy mine?
>At least the actual guys were in it.
They were all far too old to be in it.
Rudy Reyes literally played himself on the show.
The allies sent 8 year old into the war? How fucking stupid are they can't they tell if an 8 year old is lying when he says he's 18?
generation kill is the best and people who like the other two better are brainlets masquerading as intellectuals.

GK = Eugene Sledge > BoB > rest of The Pacific
Anyone here read Fruity Rudy's book Hero Living?
Did you list them in reverse order?
Been thinking of buying it.
2pbp
>best protagonist in The Pacific
>wrote the best book of any of the three
>gets the least airtime
Fuck you Tom Hanks.
yeah
and fruity rudy called and told me to tell you youre a flaming faggot not just half the fag you claim to be, fuckin finook
Kocher also played a character in the show. Weirdly not himself though.
I LOVE YOU FRUITY RUUUDYYYYY
iirc Fruity Rudy is married and has like a half-dozen kids
Band of brothers = The Pacific > Generation Kill
Love all three though but if you want a modern realistic portrayal of the marines just watch Gen kill
If you want something realistic watch Generation Kill and The Pacific
Chad
They also did a terrible job of trying to make leckie likable
I actually felt bad for the dude when he got home and his parents got rid off his stuff because they thought he would die. I think I’m remembering that correctly I haven’t seen the show in along time.
Band of brothers, generation kill, skip the pacific
But they gave their own input on things.
Watch The Pacific. It has the 2 best characters out of the 3 series.
>lookup the French scene in band of brothers
>skim the comments
Holy shit my brain aches
youtu.be
I don't understand the circlejerk around BoB. Sure, it's good, but it's not THAT good.
The Pacific and Generation Kill were just as good. Fuck your circlejerk.
Having been in that war, I can tell you that generation kill is as accurate as it gets from the attitudes and banter to the technical things like even the brands of water that were being distributed. If you don't like the show that's fine but you can't knock it's accuracy.
Underrated
>being butthurt that some huniggers got wasted
lmao
>French soldiers executing a few unarmed POWs
babby's first war crime
>BoB > GK > The Pacific
Generation Kill fags are edgy retards, ignore them
