I liked the theme song, don't remember much about it other than every character looking like a wrestler.

Actual unironic kino

I really enjoyed some of the story arcs, like when Mary Jane was missing.

>Spider-Man literally forbidden by network censors from punching people

It's garbage.

Attached: 1538893476147.jpg (640x640, 73K)

Lol, this.

The animation sucked. Focused too much on Kingpin and his crew of losers. The Spider-Saga was pretty dope tho (especially when he mutated into a giant spider).

Its kino. Probably one of the best iterations of Spider-Man ever desu

Attached: THICCpin.jpg (860x705, 119K)

Absolute kino

Attached: 1489501212930.webm (742x556, 2.42M)

Its based

90s censorship makes fights kinda lame and the animation is cheap
BUT
>goat theme song
>established breddy good spidey universe for 90s kids to get into
>great voice work

Perfectly emulates older comic storytelling of constant monologuing and hyper-quick scene changes/exposition.

If we're being honest... IT SUCKED

Compared to X-Men, come on.

Attached: X_CHAR__0008_MORPH.jpg (690x388, 62K)

X-Men was shit and doesn’t hold up

>great voice work
SHOCKERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Kino

GOAT spiderman

I think it belongs on Yea Forums and Kingpin was the best part of the show.

Xmen show was never good.

SPIDER BLOOD
SPIDER BLOOD
RADIOACTIVE
SPIDER BLOOD

Anyone got a torrent?

Except that arch was never resolved and the show ended

I do.

Spiderman had the lames villains: The rhinoceros, The pig nosed vampire, The guy with the movie cubes, Doc Oc. Kraven the Hunder was probably the coolest one.

The crossover was cool.

Attached: Spider-Man-X-Men-animated.jpg (1000x562, 86K)

Isn't she just a regular person in the comics?

How would Disney handle this ?

Attached: IMG_2450.jpg (640x480, 78K)

Yeah all that stuff was so pitiful in comparison to Batman The Animated Series.

reddit incarnate

I loved it as a kid, but I have read about the censorship. I may not like it if I watch again now.

1000 x better than into the spiderverse

Attached: e860cfe8864b4d6c-600x338.jpg (600x338, 54K)

>The pig nosed vampire,
Mobius's censorship just made him creepier. PLASMA!

It's certified kino.

The nicest guy you'll ever meet Vs TWISTED FUCKING PSYCHOPATH

FELLEEESHA

Was Madame Web aunt May?

It was pretty good, the peter design was a little too chad, I hate the stock footage and reuse of certain animations but I guess that was a price to pay for it running so long. My biggest gripe is that weird as slow-mo shit they seemed to do randomly sometimes.

The name's...DAREDEVIL.

Attached: x120.jpg (160x120, 7K)

Best

MOOOOORPH

this was so fucking kino i remember having a few of those figures

lmao burgers your cartoons are literally toy commercials

God damn imagine being able to have this made today, with no censorship (and no niggers)

>doc ock spiderman
HOLY SHIT THEY PREDICTED SUPERIOR

and the problem is? at least the spiderman one was one of the best cartoons of it's time

The Hobgoblin was misunderstood and was the protagonist we didn't deserve.

Attached: hob.png (838x644, 888K)

How I remember Spider-Man.

You mean like no mandate that spidey can't hit people with his fists?

Attached: WarSpidey.jpg (768x576, 55K)

Kino.
But if you rewatch it now, you notice that animation kinda sucks and they reuse same shots all the time.

why was it so fast? like it literally felt like it was on speed

It forced them to be more creative in the end.

Oh fuck I remember fucking armored spider Chad kek

This was obvious as a kid. Spider-Man would to a flip, and the background would be a different location.

Best animated version of Spiderman.

>action-packed villain-of-the-weak with long-term background arcs for both heroes and villains
This was the peak of animated series before it devolved into engineered focus group shit like teen Titans. BB tried to emulate this but never dared to not resolve all the personal life plotpoints within the same episode as they were introduced

youtube.com/watch?v=y1SonDzdh0g

This scared the shit out of me as a kid

Is BB Batman Beyond?
>that JLU episode where we find out Bruce cucked Terry's dad

Still not sure what to think of that

>couldn't punch
>couldn't say kill and had to say "destroy"
>laser guns instead of firearms

That scene where his secret identity is found out just as he's about to marry Felicia Hardy and when she asks him if he loves her he just lists her attractive qualities to which she replies "That's not love" was unironically an important lesson for me as a kid.

Press F for MOOOOOORPH

F

Bff’s 4 LYFE

It had bad animation to begin with and they likely did speed it up in post-production to fit episodes into the allotted time. It's very plot-heavy for a 90s children's cartoon.

You don't like it
>it's a fanservice ass-pull made up years after BB ended
>it goes against the recurring theme that terry is different from bruce in many ways but gradually changes to be more like him
>him proposing to gf at the end goes against the recurring point that terry turning into batman is making him drift away from his gf, he relates to ten for the same reason

This was really the only good arc.

>mfw don't know how to properly get into any Marvel/DC kino

Attached: 1485296747472.png (500x500, 132K)

God I want her to peg me

Metal Spiderman was so fucking kino

The pacing is unwatchable, even as a kid I couldn’t keep up with how everything went a mile a minute

And you guys had the Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Either you sell shit to kids or you get American knock offs.

THIS ONE'S FOR YOU MORPH!

Watch the 90s DC cartoons. Batman the Animated Series is incredible and the Superman and Justice League cartoons are pretty solid too.

Attached: joker_xmas_tas.jpg (660x494, 173K)

SHOCKER

>outsource half of your animation to Japan
>suddenly your cartoon has good animation

Who would have thunk

MARY JAAAAANEEEEEEEEEEEE

Loved it, it was my the first superhero thing I ever saw, though I remember the CGI when Spiderman is hanging from building to building being terrible.

I've considered these points but at the time teenage me was awed by the secret batman DNA angle. It IS stupid though, Terry was a much stronger character with the MANTLE of Batman rather than being a clone of him. Damian already exists, they shouldn't have done Terry like that.
>tfw we will never get a perfect future-90s feel like in Batman Beyond again

where can I stream this?

I CRAVE PLASMA, FELLIIICCIA

>tfw the Mr Freeze episode
Still gets me

They did the story well in this show but everyone was a 30 year old chad

The extinct 30yo boomchad

>not a single nigger Spider-Man in this shot
What did they mean by this?

kys zoomer faggots

There's no way for them to make those accurate observations unless they were at least 29 years old

Why future Earth in BB was such a shithole?

Diversity

the most comic book accurate version of spider-man so far (except maybe spider-verse)
parker is a not a sissy...raimi make people people think parker is a fucking queer faggot. peter is a fucking smart chad.

man that story was great.
who would be the perfect punisher and spider-man casting?

I remember liking it okay when I was a kid but I've watched part of an episode recently and I couldn't believe how quick the pace was. Felt like an old man trying to keep up.

THE CHECK'S IN THE MAIL, BABY

It has the best version of Spiderman i've ever seen and it makes me regret all modern iterations just focus on him being a kid in high school

Good but not great. Batman TAS > X-men > Spiderman

Several kino storylines, but it got a little hampered by censorship. But sometimes the censorship would lead to improvements or making it way scarier for kids.

Remember that vampire? Censors thought him biting people would be too much for kids, but the end result with those blood sution cups on his hands was a) way more scary, and b) a pretty fucking cool take on a vampire.

SHOCKERRRRRRRRRRRRR

>All the cheesy one liners

still make me chuckle to this day

Best version of Black Cat for sure.

I only remember the episode where symbiote spiderman says SHOCKERRRRR
and then someone was swinging a flail or something, might have been Eddie

seeing people who share my taste always makes me happy

i loved it as a kid but now in hindsight the censorship is fucking stupid, and depressing in a way.

also peter for some reason looks like a chad in this which is kinda weird when you think about it

Attached: 1336343921936.jpg (877x1300, 417K)

what did the wall do and why is he like that?

Cringe

It's pretty dang good. When you watch it and love it and read about canceled story ideas it'll crush you.

>Secret wars was to feature a 4th episode with X-men and Mr.Sinister, the x-men voice cast couldn't be budgeted. Storm had 2 voice actresses and they were able to get her on the show
>Peter going to 1800's London to get Mary Jane and Carnage being there as Jack the Ripper
>Spider-man teaming up with ghost rider to fight mysterio and dormammu

Him in college makes the most sense. High School or a job just doesn't work for spider-man. The idea he'd have a monday-friday 9-5 schedule type thing? College, the idea of him floating on classes and being a freelance photographer. A flexible but difficult life to balance is spider-man. "You missed class peter" but still passing the tests is way more spider-man than him ditching out in high school.

They did a really great job even under the limits the censors put on them. You can tell the creators loved the source material.

Attached: HONK HONK MOTHERFUCKERS.gif (500x282, 2.07M)

He was a chad in the comics, but then again, in the comics wearing glasses makes you a turbonerd, regardless of facial features.

Peter is a Chad. He bangs super models all the time

youtu.be/hzc5VHL1bPM

man i loved this arc, scared me too.

Peter was a Chad in the 90's

Attached: ff601c5e820a82db55314a0ba10c7cb3.jpg (1082x1920, 1.09M)

I liked it a lot, and i rewatched it recently and it still holds up for me.

Seeing it while being aware that it's censored really got weird, but at least it made Spidey look like a smart kid for not just beating the villains with his hands and made for some clever stuff, as other anons mentioned.

Some of the animation was great (even though tons of reused footage and cut corners) and the designs i really liked, plus the writing was, and still is, really funny, Peter is a fucking smartass and not a total loser, even though he's a nerd.

The setting fit perfectly, with Peter being a college student and an assistant for Dr. Connors, and the storylines were not just rehashes, but good adaptations of the comics.

I 'm not really happy with any other Spider-Man incarnation, so this one still holds the top spot for me, and the reason i like the character.

Attached: spooder-gwon.jpg (512x512, 118K)

...

I loved it when I was a kid. In hindsight it's cheesy, and they cut away from all violence.

Did her pusy got bigger?

Attached: 1555513553967.png (852x1256, 55K)

Only thing i liked the same was Spider-Man: Unlimited, but it got cancelled even before it began, so there's only a handful of episodes, but Spideys design is one of the best there.

Attached: SMU.jpg (1920x1440, 1.01M)

I liked his costume, but the high evolutionary faggot flurries were lame

Based.

>imagine MJ having daddy issues in the current year

It was my teenhood
Second Mary Jane being a water clone and fading away on a rooftop arc was kino

Anyone calling this trash are dumb fucking zoomers, everyone knows cartoons from 80's / 90's are better than anything zoomers have.

It was a comfy show plotwise but yeah spectacular's art is absolute garbage just look at venom

It definitely is

Attached: 0e900f062f6625922412a9a0aeec7623.jpg (768x576, 62K)

Spectacular was pretty great too. Shame it got cancelled and replaced by the worst rendition of spider-man ever

>posting the pic of a Shinji clone

it was the shit

I can't wait for the pendulum to swing back so we get shows with proper values again.

Attached: felicia-hard-y.jpg (862x640, 208K)

The one with water-man? Yeah as a kid I never saw the conclusion to that. So it was bc it never was finished? Lol

The intro was kino. Based Joe Perry shredded.

Happens to the best of us.

Spectacular is better

u r retard bro, half the "zoomers" i grew up with love barnes' spider-man

Because the one thing comics teach is that having super heroes inevitably leads to a bleak horrible future where they go neo-fascist so save everyone for themselves, or someone is a bad enough dude to finally kill the cape and rampages across town.

>Scarlet spider
Clone shit is gaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy

Also surprising amount of cameos and other characters being introduced, there's even Cap America origin story in one of the episodes, Blade and Dr. Strange make appearances and so on.

I recently watched most of it. The last season was pretty retarded towards the end going into outer space for no reason.

YOU CANT ESCAPE ME! I’LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EEEEAAAAAARRTTHHHH

I recently watched this and was really shocked by how much I loved it. This threads got me wanting to check out Spiderman now too.

Fucking kino. This show references a real life terrorist incident when that Lion King dude says he can smell the explosives in the World Trade Center.

Beyonder is based. They just rushed it.

You now remember this thing and how it was responsible for literally every plotline

Attached: neogeneticrecombinator.png (682x443, 530K)

>Also surprising amount of cameos and other characters being introduced,
Not really, there were always cameos in the comic.
NYC is home to like half of the marvel characters, Spiderman was always bumping into other heroes that patrolled, or had their bases in new york. Since he's the friendly neighborhood spiderman, and not an angsty fuck like batman he's more than happy to team up or help out.
Even if someone didn't show up, he name dropped all the time.

Attached: man_of_spiders.webm (384x286, 949K)

To be fair the first attack on the WTC was a joke.

Attached: honk_honk.webm (480x360, 160K)

Quiet, little reddit bitch.

Really cringe comment. What's wrong with you?

Why aren't any of the recent Spiderman cartoons kino? Spectacular seemed like it was OK but the high school plot line and the animation was gay.

lmao

>a car explodes in an empty parking lot
>they don't even shut down the subway stop
It was fucking nothing.

now she is ready for the big spider cock

Is the Ultimate series any good? The backgrounds are ass, but the characters seem fine looking.

Attached: top_10_anime_deaths.webm (480x360, 2.63M)

>Why aren't any of the recent Spiderman cartoons kino?
Because they're trying to churn out projects that can be discarded at a moment's notice but might turn a profit.

Theres an episode where The Punisher uses "non-lethal" rpgs and thats all you need to know about 90s Spiderman

He's a Punicher, bot a Killisher, duh.

spider butt spider butt radioactive spider butt

The Venom Saga is absolute Lovecraftian kino.

>why is user using this buzzword?

you will ask. Because it actually describes it perfectly. Lovecraft wrote not only about cosmic alien horror, but also about themes such as loss of one's identity and being mentally possessed by malicious entities. The Venom Saga somehow combines this with child-friendly superhero action and a humorous yet tense tone. Excellent cartoon.

Attached: DcvHbBXW4AAfeH9.jpg (768x576, 62K)

Yea in the comics, not on other shows. License issues started to slow this stuff down and keep spider-man on his own in cartoons. Like the super hero squad show never features any spider-man characters. Spectacular spider-man never features other marvel characters. Look at this list of heroes in Spider-man TAS

>Nick Fury
>X-men
>Punisher
>Blade
>Doctor Strange
>Daredevil
>Iron Man
>Captain America
>Fantastic Four

Not many shows had the freedom to pull from pretty much the entire marvel library. They only had Ghost Rider be vetoed because a potential series was being made for a rival network. These cross overs happen pretty organically and it's not some obvious disney marketing/synergy shit either. The only one that seems forced is x-men, as they fight a giant monster at the end and don't have a real reason to team up.

It's not, Gotham just went back to how it was pre-Batman.

Gotham was a shit hole even with batman. It's an evil city in a lovecraftian sense.

>we'll never get this version of spider-man in a movie

>Make one turn from the lit-up street with a posh theater where insanely rich fucking people watch movies
>get shot
yeah, gotham is pretty crazy.

I never understood why venom had a blue and red sheen but it looked really cool

Even Iron Man looked like a wrestler. I love it.

>peter cucking his alternate self
Based

Same reason he's blue in the comics, to better show him off and probably to make sure you understand it's an alien goo and not some skintight suit, like the Black Cat.

no it was not.

>animation
>no censorship
Sorry man

>insidious is somehow better than the word sinister
that show's censorship was weird

KINO AS FUCK

>Beast calmly quotes Nietzsche while a man is painfully mutating in front of him
What a fucking asshole

>that final season where they clearly knew they were one foot out the door and just gave up
That one with the gomer pile rocket mutant was dreadful

whoever made spectacular drawing is full shit cant stand with that art style.

The definitive Spiderman for me. Had the DVDs and watched them all the time.

It happened in a time when I was young and I collected the comics, so I didn't like it because of the creative liberties and overall stupid plot. Looking back now, it had its charm. I also liked the action figures from this series, they got all scratched from playing with them too much.

Attached: 1559677971149.jpg (480x360, 10K)

I wanna know how the FUCK they made those cool-ass sounds he makes. How do you even begin to describe it?

She's a normal person, just trained. But at some point they discovered she brings bad luck to those around her as an actual mutant power.

>I strongly believe in the constitution and the law.
I don't know why but that line always stuck with me.

first season was absolutely perfect

>couldn't even say blood in a vampire arc

Peak animated series is Young Justice

Terry proposing to his girlfriend was good though. It runs counter to the arc of the show, but this is years later when he's had time to work things out more. He's choosing not to be a lonely fuck like Bruce is

>this thing

Its the Neogenic Recombinator

Kino, but then again most of the 90's TAS were. Marvel's dropped the ball in terms of animation ever since. In that regard, DC is unparalleled.

Why does Venom have a duckbill in OP's picture?

Uncle Phil was War Machine.
Carlton was Robbie Robertsons son.
Hank fucking Azaria was Eddie Brock/Venom.

The show has warts, but its still overall very enjoyable, seldom mediocre and occasionally kino.

When is the whole series to be released in region 1 DVD/Blu-Ray?
Like come the fuck on.

High Caliber Kino

didn't they say plasma instead? i thought that was weird when i was a kid.

The show had a lot of slipshod censorship.
Spider-Man couldn't be created through radiation so he was created through "neogenics" and the vampires weren't allowed to suck blood so instead they had to suck plasma, but then the show's theme song constantly repeats "radioactive spider-blood" over and over again.
The Sinister Six were renamed to the "Insidious Six" because the word "sinister" was too intense, despite there being a character named "Mr. Sinister" in another show by the same creators on the same network.
And this Spider-Man show had an entire season dedicated to body-horror. Like I used to be terrified to watch this show as a kid because I thought it'd be one of the season 2/man-spider episodes.
What were they thinking??

It was weird, especially if you've first learned that plasma was a state of matter first before it was a blood component.

The final seasons were really depressing

Literally the reason for my femdom fetish. Even as a kid I wanted her to beat me up and sit on me

Can someone tell me why all spiderman movies and shows only show him as a teenager or college student? Does nothing interesting happen to him when he's older? I've never seen him as an actual grown man 30+ on tv or a movie.
Does he ever move out of his aunt em's house? Does he ever marry mary jane and have kids? Does he still work at the news paper?

The oldest he’s ever been is 28. They won’t let him be older because kiddies can’t relate to that

>They won’t let him be older because kiddies can’t relate to that
More like because being young is a defining aspect of his character.

Unadulterated Quinoa

I have two of every action figure. One sealed, one opened.

Attached: greengoblin(sa).jpg (800x1088, 379K)

Yep.

>being young is a defining aspect of his character.
Wrong. He's an entry level character for Marvel and was designed to pull in the bullied nerds looking for escapism. Peter really appeals to all ages.

The internet.

It's great. Maybe the best cartoon in history. I went back and re-watched it a few years ago all the way through as an adult and it was great. And I was already in the early stages of anhedonia. I feel like Batman TAS may surpass it in quality when I get around to re-watching it but I think Spiderman will still be my favorite(in the West, DBZ is king).

Not an issue at all. Wolverine was the worst, his claws were useless, only used on inanimate objects.

I made it to the last season and couldn't bring myself to finish it. It had its moments though and still a cool cast.

Since u gave me a (You)... yeah, I even didn't watch the whole thing when I was a kid. Once they hit space I was losing interest and then they introduced Nimrod (a super Sentinel) I was out.

its good and actually got me into spiderman a lot more. but I have to admit the real kino was Batman/Superman animated series. man the waifus where thru the roof and it just had better everything.

this line will always scream in my head along with MOOOOORPH. lol good childhood kino

How is venom in the show?
As cool as this?

If Arnold could pull those cheese lines half as good as that va

Kino, same with batman the animated series

Great theme songs and decent world building for 90s animated capeshit. The shows themselves were very poorly animated and they both suffered from ultra-light violence levels that made fight scenes lack any sense of danger. Some arcs were very good though. Like the man-spider arc and I remember the spider hunter or w/e they were called causing a good deal of anxiety in me as a kid. Both were decent shows brought down by bad animation and 90s censors. The true capekino of the day came from WB in Batman the Animated Series and all the later DCAU.

lmao that’s why he was married for a large portion of his existence, right? Get the fuck outta here

Much much fleshier too.

All is right in the multi-verse
