yes
Why pay for something that's harmful to you anyway?
Holy shit get a job poorfags
Disrespectful to the creator
Damaging the (((industry))) unfortunately also hits the artists that try to put out quality.
Not something for me pal and not encouragable, even if it was legal
Simple as
>impaling im not at work right now
>people trying to justify piracy like it's some sort of crusade against shitty companies or that it's not actually theft
>can't just admit they're too poor or flat out don't want to spend any money on vidya
At least own it mother fuckers.
I "pirate" absolutely every fucking thing I can my hands on, because the DMCA - Digital Millennium Copyright Act - was introduced by Bill Clinton, a rapist, who has never gone to prison for the murder of his aide Vince Foster.
I "pirate" for Vince.
This
Same shit with racists, mysoginists or NEETs
Always making up some excuse or false picture of what they do. Nobody owns it like the pussies they are
>Impaling
No, because "theft removes something" is wrong. You can steal an idea or a concept. If you think it's only theft if you remove the original you're just being willfully ignorant.
It's not theft and some people see no reason in paying for entertainment, entertainment that according to a very vocal faction on this board is progressively declining in quality btw.
What the hell does racism have to do with piracy? "Own it, you pussies"? I suggest you stop paying for shit and invest in an education.
Oh, that's right, most of you can't pay for shit useful in the long term (college, health, housing) or you'd go bankrupt.
Hello, zoomer faggot. Guess you weren't around before the DMCA, hey? You should just chop off your fingers and have someone throw your computer out the window, you dumb cunt.
cope
Holy shit does the dude talk to his bike and it replies? Why would any one sell it
>only poorfags save money
Doesn’t matter what it is, I can’t make a living playing music. Wanna buy a t-shirt, user?
this comic is only valid if the store owner can also copy bikes at will
digital media, once it is produced, costs absolutely nothing to copy and distribute. this makes it intrinsically different from actual physical goods like a bike, where each produced unit costs the same to produce
Confirmed for faggot zoomer who doesn't know a fucking thing about anything. Go "floss" yourself off the roof of a six-storey building.
The decline in quality of movies is directly correlated with pirating. Film studios must create a big box office first weekend to recoup money, meaning they only greenlight forumulaic capeshit.
piracy is acceptable and indeed moral only when aimed against big kike corporations like Disney, HBO, Netflix or EA
>property still in possession of the creator
>no loss of revenue because pirate never intended to purchase anyway
As long as you're not trying to sell the things you pirate, there's literally nothing morally wrong and no damage done.
>what's a comparison duuurrrp
>educate urself to become a whiny pussy like meee
Mush wagie Mush!
In the end it just creates a different market which in any case is bigger.
It also rewards loyalty and persistence.
>Excuse me what the fuck are you doing
Shooting a fucking laser gun that copies shit what do you think
Also Bikes and Movies aren't the same shit. Cars and music aren't the same shit. Normies still go to see movies and shows to fuck their girlfriends and boyfriends. They make more off that shit. People with proper jobs who have prepared for a good quality living can afford streaming services which in turn profits the film. Faggots who never really prepared for life and or are just low-down scums who are very few pirate shit and a lot of the times it's not even 100% their fault they can't afford shit, they just got down on their luck but if they try hadd enough they too can also be functioning members of the society so just leave em alone for a bit do you think you're always gonna be fucking set for life?
>implying the artist doesn't get paid according to contract obligations
>implying the only ones who get hurt by piracy isn't kikes
>Always making up some excuse or false picture of what they do. Nobody owns it like the pussies they are
Its almost like some people have differing opinions from yours.
Nope the decline in quality of movies is directly correlated with the conglomerization of movie studios and production houses under massive media corporations seeking to monopolize the market and thus being able to peddle low quality shit simply because nobody else is making anything (since they've been bought out or ruined by kike lawyers)
Sometimes the only alternative to piracy is hunting for hours for a shitty quality stream (which is often piracy in its own right) or auctionable physical copy of an obscure film
You are a literal brainlet who can't think two steps ahead
>kikes get less money
>kikes give artists less money for next job
>artist decides to make more shitty work for less money or loses position entirely
>more cheap shit on the menu
user here could be right but that's wishful thinking.
Production companies would always rise again and again thanks to its production process and the free market system
So stop making them nobody NEEDS to see fucking movies bro all people really wanna do is fuck
this. WHO says vidya is an addiction so i won't be caught going broke on shit that i'm obvioisly compelled to play, rather than actually wanting to
The amount of money that kikes have will not affect what they pay their victims.
It’s insane to me that so many people are ignorant to this. It just makes me sad that we will likely never be able to go back to the way it used to be.
Double nope the only reason big media companys have been able to swallow the smaller ones is because only the big money machines can make profit from films now with their massive marketing budgets.. because of pirating
Fuck kikes and fuck you. The artist always has the option to refuse working for a kike corporation and strike out as an independent. Meanwhile, kike media corporations are the eternal enemy of quality, decency and everything else worthwhile seeing in a movie.
I only pirate stuff distributed by kike corporations, while things made by independent artists or small productions I happily purchase. I'm not giving a single red cent to (((Disney))) and their ilk and all your pitiful attempts to shame me into yielding will fail.
>You can steal an idea or a concept.
Fallacious argument, people have been around so long you can almost always find a previous similar version of your "original thought" that one or more people had before you that anyone could use to say you're """stealing""" concepts or ideas from someone who thought of it before you.
As far as copyright goes, as long as nobody is taking your ideas verbatim and calling them "theirs" for their own benefit, it's not even theft.
Even a kike can run out of money user. If there is no profit you lose, its burning money
The more people pirate the more cinema crumbles.
kek refn has such a hilarious face, he should unironically write and star in a comedy film
>The artist always has the option to refuse working for a kike corporation and strike out as an independent
You want your stuff to reach wider masses youll have to deal with kikes, the more fancy shit you need you have to deal with producers
It's very simple
>I only pirate stuff distributed by kike corporations, while things made by independent artists or small productions I happily purchase.
Fair enough, but big corps only get worse because of you. And because of politics
Accidentally doing something the same =/intentionally stealing an idea
It isn't and never will be.
Who cares you’re not going to get punished for it
If given the opportunity, literally everyone would download a car.
You wouldn't download more ram now would you?
Actually, with broadband internet becoming ubiquitous and video streaming being basically free, it's easier than ever to distribute your works to a much wider audience than you ever could before, so that argument doesn't stand.
The argument about production quality holds some water, but I'd honestly rather watch a low-budget movie that isn't 95% political propaganda than a 2 billion dollar movie that's utter shit because the plot, acting, characterization and everything else is subservient to pushing a political message.
Illegally downloading a movie for free is akin to sneaking into a theater to watch a movie without paying. If you want to enjoy a non-physical service, like a film, magic show, musical performance, ballet recital, ect, then you must pay for it if the artists/performers/theater owners, ect are charging money. It's entertainment, it's a performance, it's a filmed and edited experience that real people have worked on. If you want to watch a professional football game, the you pay for your ticket. It doesn't matter if you really DON'T like the teams or sport, it doesn't matter if you never had any intention of paying for a ticket anyway or if you don't like the way the owners conduct business. None of that matters because if you sneak in to a venue without paying then you're guilty of a crime. If you illegally download movies then you're guilty of a crime. If you sneak into an establishment that charges a cover fee you're guilty of a crime.
Once everyone pirates, the new products will be punishment enough
Tbh pirating is only not an issue because the majority doesn't do it, and if it remained that way it'd be fine.
It is. There is no simple way to construe the argument than this:
If there was NO way to copy the bike, or movie, how else would you get it? You would either pay for it, or take the chance and physically steal it.
By declaring the copying “not stealing” you assign it the property of importance, the first value of piracy. Therefore, piracy would be stealing, because you would NOT have the item if you did not have that ability.
Case closed.
its not a matter of opinion. people calling it theft are just fucking idiots who cant make their argument that piracy is wrong without comparing it to something else
The argument is not if you’re committing a crime; it’s if piracy is stealing, retard.
With every piece of entertainment getting on the Web that takes away the majority of market problems. But the Web market would still want money for it I assume, just less. But once dvd dies out they'll want more for that service of marketing. All these digital sites.
And not all big bucks movies are propaganda, that's willfully ignorance. You're saying everything that costs a lot of production should be pirated for that reason
If piracy is on the rise and pirates ruin the kikes' earnings, kindly name the latest year in which the film industry has had an actual deficit.
They are literal capitalists, and it's their right to pursue larger margins and quicker profits, but no sane person outside the industry should excuse them for the shitty films they put out.
It's a hypothetical future scenario you dimwit
Ok so let the normies be the paypigs for the mainstream, and just support the stuff you truly care about, if its within your budget
>if you don't believe what I believe you're just trying to justify something that you actually know not to be true because my opinion is the only correct one
good going now this thread is banned in china
faglord
Who cares about chinks lol its not as if they’re real people
Replace the bike with a text book and downloading with photocopying.
We have means of copying shit so that condition of your argument is plain dumb.
You're stealing an experience. HBO bought the rights from the fat man, they hired all the actors, paid for the cgi, paid for writers, they are the reason Game of Thrones the television series exists. They don't give their content away for free. If you want to watch their content, but you don't want to pay, and then decide to illegally download their show and then watch it, guess what? You've stolen from HBO. Drink bleach, thieving nigger. Because that's exactly what you are.
>dude niggers steal LOL gibbs from government, 13% 50% they just steal shit
>No, I am in fact not stealing, I just do not want to pay for this product, but I will take it anyways. That is fair and just.
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
>its not a matter of opinion.
It is, you value artist support or not, depending on your level of caring
>people calling it theft are just fucking idiots who cant make their argument that piracy is wrong without comparing it to something else
No one compares it to anything else but the people who do it, with comics where they compare a service to an object
Basically. I mean that's what actual pirates do too
I'd be willing to accept a total ban on piracy if it was followed by a full abolition of welfare. But that's not going to happen, so I'm going to keep pirating.
>You're stealing an experience
that some next level delusions
I have only one thing to say to you fags
Read again, I know it’s hard for you, but I insist.
In a strictly physical setting, assuming there is NO way to actually copy anything, everything must be hand made. Bringing this to a digital context, assume you cannot copy files in any manner. How are you going to get access to a movie on a site? Your only option is to purchase, or hack and steal.
Therefore, with the condition that COPYING exists (which does in the real world) it comes forth that it is the only method to retrieve said item from a market. And by retrieving a new version which YOU COULD NOT GET BEFORE, you are in fact stealing. Not going to bother with name calling, either construct an argument or fuck off.
he's just a stockfaggot with disney shares or something so of course he has a vetted interest in making people not pirate
anyone unironically opposed to piracy is either a corporation or has shares in that corporation, everyone else either doesn't care or supports it
So if I went to a bar and there were other 50 people watching it, 'stealing' the experience (as only the owner, i.e., 1 customer would pay for it) there would be 51 thieves? what about music? Isnt there like a legal condition in most albums not to play that shit to an audience (even if you didnt charge extra for it).
It's what said.
The only reason not to do it is some law, put in place to both move the economy and guarantee some kikes get their money.
It isn't and even if it was I just couldn't care.
Sure you would big boy. You love it when it only benefits you. Stupid porch monkey nigger.
learn to reading comprehension faggot
>get rid of copyright and patent laws
>medical costs plummit due to generics flooding the market
>advances in medical sciences are only made in universities anyways and then monopolized via patent in the industry, so no loss there
>proprietary software looses to open-source alternatives
>entertainment would be created by dedicated individuals instead of franchise-whoring corporations
tell me a single good thing, the government monopoly, known as patents/copyright has ever brought into this world.
>literally no argument
>red herring
None of you autists can argue. One fallacy after another. Good fucking god.
I pay for internet and thus everything that's online is paid for.
This isn't an argument, it doesn't even approach being one.
Saying "If the constant of gravity was different then this chicken could fly" isn't an argument for why chickens are actually birds of flight
In the actual real world, copying exists and copying something is different from stealing something.
>but m-muh rewards for innovation
The only ones who would suffer from this are kikes and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
Nice to see we are in agreement then frend, and that we don’t autistically follow the law cos its the law
the zipper
>get rid of copyright and patent laws
It would be a literal utopia.
i started pirating everything the moment i got internet, so almost two decades, i pirated terabytes upon terabytes of content and i never, NEVER gonna stop
deal with it seething buycucks
I'm not for or against piracy, paranoid schizo. I pirate shit all the time. But what I don't do is pretend like I'm not doing anything wrong. It's simply a fact and I own it. I don't mental gymnastics out of taking responsibility for my actions.
> steeling an experience
But that’s not my argument, my argument is a textbook Modus Ponens.
If (copying, the method of creating a new item from the original exists) then (stealing, the method of receiving an item which you did not pay for) exists.
The proposition is the subject of the argument, the movie, bike, whatever. The condition is the method of taking said subject for free, aka stealing.
NatSoc?
You’re all retards.
>stealing, the method of receiving an item which you did not pay for
Nice try, but you're not gonna slip that attempt at changing the definition of theft by me.
Theft is taking an object owned by another person without that persons consent (Whether you 'pay' for it is irrelevant, leaving a $100 bill in place of something you took changes nothing)
The owner of the original doesn't own the copy, I made the copy, it's mine. I didn't even interact with the original in any meaningful way.
Your definition is so cockheaded it would require receiving a gift to be defined as theft.
no u
You are just arguing in a vacuum.
You could not get it before, but now you can. Where do we live? In the fucking now, under the condition of copies being an actual thing. That's why I mentioned text books. Before copiers, I could make a manual copy and redistribute it. According to you, every user of those copies would be stealing.
The very definition of theft is to deprive someone of their rightful property. If you copied the bike, you would, at most, deprive the seller from money. The object would stay there. He could sell it to someone else and get that same money.
Yes. Jesus christ pirated bread and fish
Well he was jewish and they punished him with crucifixion for that so...
>back to the way it used to be.
and what was that?
I actually thought it was legal almost anywhere
That's why it's such an issue for producers, only copying dvds is illegal afaik
Thank you for correcting me, I didn’t even mean to define it so openly. Very fallacious. But anyways, let me redefine my term of stealing: to take from the original owner’s item or property
With this definition, much can be inferred, but let’s look at the important factor: the concept of stealing itself. If you wanted a movie, how are you going to receive it without paying for it? You are to take a copy of it. No, it is not the original. But how else would you get the copy? From the master. And what is a copy of a master? Not the original. And what is it to take the item, albeit not the original, that was fathered directly from the original? Stealing. Had there be no master, there would be no copy. This is my point, more clear laid out.
I left out the conditional (copying in this previous argument I made) to prove the point: in the hypothetical, all variables the same, there would be no existing method to take a movie without stealing or paying. You’re right, we’re in the now, which is only important. You can copy, but you need the master, and to receive the item, for free, albeit the master still existing, is stealing. You did not pay for it, you did not receive it as a gift, you took it with the premise of not paying for it. No excuse.
Your arguments are so circular and you insist on pushing your one way reasoning and unsoundness, it’s crazy. You’re beyond fucking retarded, at least the retarded anons say something funny. Spewing out this bullshit you call an “argument “ is a fucking joke
I think the issue isn’t the minutiae of technically illegal but a question of enforcement and political will and tech implementation to see it done. No elected politician cares that much, itll piss of voters (taking away their free circuses) and would cost too much for very little gain. Companies cant punish often cos its bad pr and not an effective use of their resources. It’ll always be a low leel arms race between pirates and enforces which is probs for the best
>circular
Do you know what circular reasoning is? That is to infer the consequent without confirming the precedent. Its saying 1 1 = 2 without having an operator in the middle. Can you at least argue with something? Calling me a retard does nothing, just proves you’re angry and refuse to construct anything of worth to be judged and read.
Retard
Until Hollywood goes back to putting out kino, I refuse to pay for it. Seriously, I saw Flopzam for free and felt they should be paying ME to watch it.
Solution: make better movies.
Wouldn't the solution be to only sell 1 bike with full rights for a large amount of money and until then not even reveal it?
>t. Nigger that needs gibbs
>nooo, how will my favourite multi-billion dollar corporation make infinite profits with their mediocre products
The issue is sneed
It is stealing. Except you’re not stealing a bike, you’re stealing potential income from a potential purchase. Piracy is stealing.
What about feed?
This
Imagine hating yourself as much as these corporate bootlickers.
Imagine actually caring about the profits of a corporation that steals money right out of your fucking pocket by dodging tax (Which you and other ordinary people with no departments of acounting kikes are then expected to make up for)
Imagine depriving yourself of something you want because you think you owe these corporations anything
>i want muh Gibbs! the argument
You're wrong in assuming a paying customer gets a master copy. You get a copy. A pirate copies the copy. And he does so for free.
It's interpreted as illegal or theft because the manufacturer or creator has the intellectual property, that derives in a master copy which may be processed further into a copy for the consumer. At the same time, this copy has a set of authorized uses (copyright).
Intellectual rights are a fairly recent invention btw.
While you were posting about this an army of corporate lobbyists, bought and paid for by the corporate masters you love so dearly, are bribing government official to obtain literal, actual government gibs.
>the brainlet argument
so if I take an oath to never buy a product produced by that company again, Im suddenly allowed to pirate the product because there is no potential income to be made ever?
Yeah I really don't care if a multi billion dollar doesn't get my 20$. Whoops.
>At least own it mother fuckers
they don't own anything that's the problem
No you dumbfuck. Using your retarded logic, can i just take an oath to never pay for any movie or game from any company and pirate whatever shit I want? Theft is not piracy. But piracy is theft. It is a form of stealing where you copy the original and receive that movie for free. And by doing so, and entire potential purchase is lost. Otherwise, you would’ve paid for it.
Piracy is not theft, Piracy is... Piracy. Wow amazing, right?
It can be both.
The motive for an action and the moral justification for that action don't need to be the same thing.
I pirate movies because I don't want to reward Hollywood for making shitty products.
When they manage to produce a good product, I pay full price for it. Doesn't happen very often.
>Digital media
>Owning
Fucking...
are you genuinely retarded user?
The only people against piracy are idiots that don't know how to do it without getting caught.
You make a point, however, he IS right.
Is pirating aged films (pre-millenia, from the 1960's-70's) less of a deal?
I pirate every movie i watch and every song i want to listen to. I do recognize it as stealing, but its so easy and relatively harmless that i just dont care enough to stop doing it. Kinda like jay walking, its illegal, but people still do it cause fuck it why not?
i realize theyre not the same thing, but i literally would never buy a song or a movie otherwise. And i can easily afford to do so.
