Movies that Yea Forums would hate if they came out today

Yea Forums will cope about this but it's true. There would be endless cries of Mary sue and Peter Jackson ruining it with dur feminism.

Wrong. It’s source material not some forced political fan fiction that Hollywood spews out these days.

you don't realize, normies thought it was kind of cringe back then too

Star wars is also source material.

The movies really underplay how much of a role Merry had to play in this scene

>It’s source material
I've been told that Merry was the one that killed Witch King in the books.

Star wars is a movie based off an old book series? Fuck off.

Merry basically made him mortal with his sword which was made to fight wraiths.

Yes. He is shown helping do that in the movie. Poorly explained though.

Slack jawed faggot detected

>Nu-Wars is source material
Top kek

>le ebin undefeatable Nazgul KANG, literally juxtapostited 10 minutes before as being unkillable by mortals

>Gets stabbed by a dwarf and a woman

>theheeee nuthin personell , Kid

One of the scenes that doesn't make LotR a 10/10 film , but a 8/10.

Embarrassing and cheap

No, it happens same as the movie. He stabs the Witch King in the knee with a magical blade that makes his wraith form mortal, and then Eowyn delivers the killing blade

>One of the scenes that doesn't make LotR a 10/10 film , but a 8/10.
no, that's the lack of the Scouring of the Shire

They lied to you

People cringed at this scene when it came out
>I'm not a human, I'm a huwoman

It was a male hobbit (not a Man meant not HUMAN) that killed it with a magical dagger. Not the brave female warrior, but she distracted it in order for the hobbit to do the deed.

There aren’t women in TLoTR

Tolkien was such a nerd that the whole scene is just his way of taking a piss on Shakespeare's Macbeth. Didn't have anything to do with "muh gerl powar"

carl weathers was like "fuck camo, i'll be a rock"

Tolkien actually like literally word interpretations and was very meticulous about meanings.

Imagine picking these cavemen who can't act as your cast and telling to yourself "yeah it's going to be a good movie"

Every single one.
This shithole would probably find a way to cry about marxist propaganda in The Goonies.

...

Why, because of one moment in a 10 hour long trilogy?

>ywn be this operator

Well they did make a total villain out of the rich guy who actually spent his life working/producing things and who wanted to actually work/produce something more (a country club). Then they go off on this whimsical adventure the end of which sees an unimaginable amount of wealth just fall into their laps which they then let float away but its okay because they only took a little bit, enough to save the community... huzzah the community is saved and it was done through teamwork and friendship! The big bad businessman has been vanquished!

Sounds like Marxist propaganda to me.

As if facts have ever stopped people from being outraged.

>then under our current tax policy's you should know that females are recognized as a group that has faced historical discrimination and that by entering a male majority occupation you have the right to apply for a deduction by filling out- AARGH!

If it came out today Aragorn would have been a woman, and at least one of the hobbits would have been too. Also there would have been more PoCs. But we can kind of see what would have happened when the Amazon LotR show comes out.

They killed him togheter: Merry stabbed him with the magical elven sword that made him vulnerable, and then Eowyn finished him off. Anons would have simply pointed out that the movie didnt adress enough the elven sword

Witch King won't fall by the blade of a MAN, was the prophecy. It was precisely worded, but led WK to believe that it meant humans

I think in some bad translations like in the Swedish one it is Merry who kills him by himself

blade is kino, only thing thats dated are the effects

how can one post be so wrong

Begone, foul dwimmerlaik, lord of carrion! Leave the dead in peace!' A cold voice answered: 'Come not between the Nazgyl and his prey! Or he will not slay thee in thy turn. He will bear thee away to the houses of lamentation, beyond all darkness, where thy flesh shall be devoured, and thy shrivelled mind be left naked to the Lidless Eye.' A sword rang as it was drawn. 'Do what you will; but I will hinder it, if I may.' 'Hinder me? Thou fool. No living man may hinder me!' Then Merry heard of all sounds in that hour the strangest. It seemed that Dernhelm laughed, and the clear voice was like the ring of steel. 'But no living man am I! You look upon a woman. Jowyn I am, Jomund's daughter. You stand between me and my lord and kin. Begone, if you be not deathless! For living or dark undead, I will smite you, if you touch him.' The winged creature screamed at her, but the Ringwraith made no answer, and was silent, as if in sudden doubt. Very amazement for a moment conquered Merry's fear. He opened his eyes and the blackness was lifted from them. There some paces from him sat the great beast, and all seemed dark about it, and above it loomed the Nazgyl Lord like a shadow of despair. A little to the left facing them stood she whom he had called Dernhelm. But the helm of her secrecy, had fallen from her, and her bright hair, released from its bonds, gleamed with pale gold upon her shoulders. Her eyes grey as the sea were hard and fell, and yet tears were on her cheek. A sword was in her hand, and she raised her shield against the horror of her enemy's eyes. Jowyn it was, and Dernhelm also. For into Merry's mind flashed the memory of the face that he saw at the riding from Dunharrow: the face of one that goes seeking death, having no hope. Pity filled his heart and great wonder, and suddenly the slow-kindled courage of his race awoke. He clenched his hand. She should not die, so fair, so desperate

die alone, unaided. The face of their enemy was not turned towards him, but still he hardly dared to move, dreading lest the deadly eyes should fall on him. Slowly, slowly he began to crawl aside; but the Black Captain, in doubt and malice intent upon the woman before him, heeded him no more than a worm in the mud. Suddenly the great beast beat its hideous wings, and the wind of them was foul. Again it leaped into the air, and then swiftly fell down upon Jowyn, shrieking, striking with beak and claw. Still she did not blench: maiden of the Rohirrim, child of kings, slender but as a steel-blade, fair but terrible. A swift stroke she dealt, skilled and deadly. The outstretched neck she clove asunder, and the hewn head fell like a stone. Backward she sprang as the huge shape crashed to ruin, vast wings outspread, crumpled on the earth; and with its fall the shadow passed away. A light fell about her, and her hair shone in the sunrise. Out of the wreck rose the Black Rider, tall and threatening, towering above her. With a cry of hatred that stung the very ears like venom he let fall his mace. Her shield was shivered in many pieces, and her arm was broken; she stumbled to her knees. He bent over her like a cloud, and his eyes glittered; he raised his mace to kill. But suddenly he too stumbled forward with a cry of bitter pain, and his stroke went wide, driving into the ground.

Merry's sword had stabbed him from behind, shearing through the black mantle, and passing up beneath the hauberk had pierced the sinew behind his mighty knee. 'Jowyn! Jowyn!' cried Merry. Then tottering, struggling up, with her last strength she drove her sword between crown and mantle, as the great shoulders bowed before her. The sword broke sparkling into many shards. The crown rolled away with a clang. Jowyn fell forward upon her fallen foe. But lo! the mantle and hauberk were empty. Shapeless they lay now on the ground, torn and tumbled; and a cry went up into the shuddering air, and faded to a shrill wailing, passing with the wind, a voice bodiless and thin that died, and was swallowed up, and was never heard again in that age of this world.

Except Eowyn actually trained in the martial arts, she taught herself how to wield a sword and shit. I dont have a problem with it.

Twink faggot, the movie was great.

yeha, rey wishes that she's Eowyn.
