Fury Road

die hard
the raid

should have stayed closer to the source material

perhaps the TV show will redeem it.

>fury road
when I went to watch that movie, I was in for a mediocre performance at an attempt to capture the Mel Gibson films. But damn, holy shit, man was I fucking wrong.

the adaptation of Officer Downe is the greatest Yea Forums tragedy in film history and no one will ever know the truth
>i was on script coverage for a company optioning it and i had to watch it drift away into irrelevance

It was good but it also ripped off The Raid, so go watch that.

Godzilla King of Monsters is a different film, but just as epic. Loaded with monster fights and intense family drama. Thank me later.

I did, good dredd, good music, minimal BS and cool efects.
Solid 8/10

The raid is good the second one sucks though

they could've milked the fucking shit out of this

Punisher: War Zone

Same feel but war zone has some flat moments. Not like the pure momentum you feel from DREDD.

One of the best action movies of the last 10 years. Travesty we're not getting a sequel.
Other people have already said the Raid but is probably the closest and overall a better film; check it out.

it was mediocre b movie

>perhaps the TV show will redeem it.
Yeah I really fucking doubt that, I'm already expecting it to be fucking trash

It's not mediocre but it is essentially a B-Movie. Just a really well done one. But Raiders of the Lost Ark is essentially a well done B-Movie so who cares?
It's still better than just about every action movie, particularly A Blockbusters, that Hollywood has recently released.

>things you think when you're a faggot.

Your life is a mediocre b movie.

>john wick is awesome omg

I watched it while half asleep on a plane but if anyone can corroborate this I remember the Assault on Precinct 13 remake with Ethan Hawke was sort of similar on the action side.

>when you show up to an action movie thread to tell people action movies shouldn't exist.
Fags gonna be fags

Dilate wound

nice try reddit

You think you're trolling. But you're just embarrassing yourself. I FORGIVE YOU. it's not your fault that you're such a faggot.

Mediocre movie, stronk wahmen garbage

sad

They are different in a lot of ways, but I think they have similar dirty looking over the top action. They are both beautifully ugly.

lol dude it definitely has the stronk women garbage but it is far from a mediocre movie. It is extremely good, and you sound like a nigger.

One of my favorite movies of all time, strong man saves stupid gaggle of women

I mean it is. I don't get how you can watch JW1's nightclub scene and think that it doesn't have some of the best cinematography and hands down the best gun-fu and possibly gun play in movies.

Better than the terrible Hollywood film of the 90s, which was just a Stallone film and not much else. It needed the Brits to make a good version of their own comic character.

Why didnt this do better? Karl Urbans chin is the perfect Dredd

Haven't heard any more of this but I hope it's still going ahead.

>A disused newspaper factory in the south of England is to be converted into a major film studio complex. The £78m Daily Mail printing press in Didcot, Oxfordshire, has been purchased by media company Rebellion. It will film adaptations of a Rogue Trooper film and a Judge Dredd TV show there. Six soundstages will be available at the 220,000 sq ft (67,000 sq m) site, creating 500 jobs. The complex is due to open in the spring. The stages and production offices, situated near Didcot Power Station, will be available to makers of TV dramas and large scale films.

this, car chase through the town belongs in landfill

Attack the Block

Max and Nux carry those useless women though

It's definitely self-aware about that

Neck yourself.

Those stronk wahmen wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the help of two white dudes

Michael Bay's best film.

Go ahead buddy, what's wrong with Fury Road?

>this film was swept under the rug because of its Russian backers.

Kinda sad. Its absolutely kino, Sharlto Copley is a great actor.

because this site is full of dumb niggers who hate on things that people have said are objectively good

I just ventured into Yea Forums for the first time after being a Yea Forumstard for my teen years and on /pol/ and /gif// for the past 4, and I have never seen this amount of autism. From the boards I have visited this is hands down the worst one except Yea Forums.

All Verhoeven films:
>Robocop
>Total Recall
>Starship Troopers

Regardless, I believe it's most internationally successful modern Russian movie. It made 16 millions vs its 2 million budget, so it was a win for creators and would possibly lead to a better sequel if they get around that.

Once ministry of culture will stop suing Russian Nostalgia Critic

>'ere buv wot if we like, did that alien shit but like in tower hamlets
its ok but its not kino.

Imagine being so filled with delusion and useless rage that you even start dissing good things to make yourself feel better. Fury road is a good movie, fuck off.

They came out almost at the same time, there's no way they were able to turn around and copy the plot in so short a timespan.

Fuck you

? War Zone is laughably bad.

In fact, Dredd production started earlier and the Raid essentially ripped off Dredd.
That is, if you consider "cop(s) fight through skyscaper" an original concept.

The Raid is literally the same movie.

If those are the boards you spend time on please go and never come back

i dident really care for it either it just felt like it was trying to hard to be ebin or something

Sadly no. Hollywood doesn't want to produce kino. I'd murder for a good Dredd sequel.
