Who would wage war against a country knowing that their king was capable of remotely watching them in their own war...

>who would wage war against a country knowing that their king was capable of remotely watching them in their own war rooms plotting their every move?
>who would commit a crime in a country knowing that if caught, it would be impossible to argue innocence?
>who would conspire against a king who can see every word you’ve ever uttered in your entire life?
>who could defend against a country whose king could retroactively turn every citizen into drooling retards IN THE GODDAMN PAST
But no, go ahead and tell me again how Jon or Dany or fucking Gendry would make a better king.

By not being a totalitarian nightmare.

this is the plot of that shitty Tom Cruise movie about predicting crimes

why totalitarianism is a nightmare?
They have totalitarian dystopia in china and they are doing very well. Everyone is happy.

They already live in a totalitarian state. The only difference between Bran and any other would be monarch is that Bran isn’t just some asshole who thinks he rules by divine providence, he is actually divine.

I mean it's all about context and authorial intent. I'd be fine with a benevolent dictator like Bran, but GRRM wrote the books and he is:
>anti-war
>anti-monarchy
>anti-religion/chosen ones/prophecies
>pro-democracy
>whined about Tolkien ending the story with "Aragorn will be a good, wise king"
>feminist
When you consider that, there's no way to view the show's finale as anything but nihilistic.

>implying the real ending won't be bloodraven, having successfully taken over bran's mind from the inside, ruling as "bran"

That’s right. Any one of those other authoritarian monarchs who demand absolute fealty on pain of death would be all about protecting the civil liberties of their literal slave subjects.

>Everyone is happy.

Are you joking?

>implying the Children of the Forest had not already taken over Brynden Rivers mind and been ruling as “Bloodraven”

Imagine a more based king.

Witnesses hot Incest
Defeats the Death
Unlocks mutant powers
Eats his lover's brother
Watches his sisters rape
Spends rest of show moving people to achieve his objectives for him
Uses dragon to destroy uncomfy chair, there's was no handicap access

Idiots, everything past the raven cave is Bran's dream.

Why didn’t he use any of these powers to stop hundred of thousands of people from getting killed?

>imagine warging into Meeras boyfriends body to fuck her, cucking yourself and him at the same time

Can't be sad after you've been run over by a tank. Can't be happy either but the first point still stands.

Because D&D are hack frauds

none of the monarchs in Game of Thrones think they rule by divine providence because most people act like atheists in GoT. The religious differences are cultural differences. Robert or Joffrey didn't spend a minute thinking about their god-given rights and Daenerys didn't think she should rule because of some mandate from heaven. Only Stannis was influenced by a religious motivation, but he was already convinced of his rightful claim.

Well, I guess you’re right. Much better to give absolute authoritarian control to just some cunt instead of an omniscient demigod. It worked so well in the past.

I agree with your conclusion, just quibbling with your argument.

>and Daenerys didn't think she should rule because of some mandate from heaven.
Maybe not, but the Dothraki sure did. Varys and Tyrion discuss how she feels the Iron Throne is her destiny. She may not claim that destiny was handed down by any particular god or gods, but that doesn’t really make much a difference practically speaking. A higher power is a higher power by whatever name you choose to call it.

me

This desu

God Emperor Bran?

ASOIAF-Kingkiller crossover to end both series at once when?

Did you even watch the show? When did innocence have anything to do with justice and punishment?

Not really sure what you’re arguing. Did you think Joffrey was the good guy? Yes, of course there were unfair rulers, but that was presented as being less than ideal.

Yeah, except nobody's gonna believe he can do that shit. Even this garbage anime is smarter than this double-garbage. Guy tells people he's gonna kill them through their TVs/computers if they don't stop trash-talking him. They tell him to fuck off and continue trash-talking him. He kills them. They refuse to believe that's what's happening and keep trash-talking.

That's how people would react to Bran's retarded-ass powers. They would simply not believe them and he would have to kill everyone until there was nobody around to oppose him anymore, just like any other illegitimate ruler would. Only advantage he has is he'll be better at it thanks to his retarded op bullshit powers.

>defending the shittest ending to a show written by the world's two biggest hacks
Nice one!

>who would wage war against a country knowing that their king is a virgin capable of seeing you while you rape your little sister

They already believe him. It isn’t hard to prove. People disbelieving in Bran’s abilities have not been an issue on the show at all.

I’m defending that single plot point, not anything leading up to it. D&D didn’t write that plot element, evidently GRRM did.
