MOGGED
>Nice try you specky little git, this trolley is going to all the kids. Don't think you're special because some bald no nosed cunt tried to kill you and your mommy got in the way
Toppest of keks
He had to show the richer children that he was as cool as them to make up for hanging out with a poor kid.
How much candy does a huge gold coin get you? What if Harry wanted like 1 chocolate frog, how does she break a giant gold coin that's probably worth like 500 wizard bucks? Even if he just bought one thing he's wiping out her entire register of change. Now when little Suzy Witch tries to buy something she won't be able to anyway because the trolley lady can't break any more bills.
who does she work for?
does Hogwarts allow some rando to just climb aboard and sell shady candies to kids?
if not, why do they only serve candy? you'd think a school train would care about feeding the kids some proper food
She doesn't accept gold coins. Harry just wanted to pull out three to humblebrag to Ron.
Perhaps he took the lot in the vain hope of ending up in an episode of My 600lb Life rather than cast as the lead actor in one of the dullest franchises in the history of movie franchises. Seriously each episode following the boy wizard and his pals from Hogwarts Academy as they fight assorted villains has been indistinguishable from the others. Aside from the gloomy imagery, the series’ only consistency has been its lack of excitement and ineffective use of special effects, all to make magic unmagical, to make action seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when Rowling vetoed the idea of Spielberg directing the series; she made sure the series would never be mistaken for a work of art that meant anything to anybody, just ridiculously profitable cross-promotion for her books. The Harry Potter series might be anti-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-James Bond series in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the books were good though
"No!"
The writing is dreadful; the book was terrible. As I read, I noticed that every time a character went for a walk, the author wrote instead that the character "stretched his legs."
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope several dozen times. I was incredulous. Rowling's mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that she has no other style of writing. Later I read a lavish, loving review of Harry Potter by the same Stephen King. He wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are reading Harry Potter at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to read Stephen King." And he was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you read "Harry Potter" you are, in fact, trained to read Stephen King.
Hey, kid. You know you just spend what I make in a year on candy? That's a really dick move on your part. Also your friend there now is feeling inadequate because of your action. Why don't you try and have some empathy towards others?
>What is this communism?
>you want my galleons or not?
She has more in the storage cart though
Wait a second. How is Hogwarts funded?
Well I'm sorry, ma'am, it wasn't my intention. I'm an orphan, and both my parents died and left me with my muggle relatives who treated me like shit my whole life. I know nothing of this world or its customs. I just wanted to have a bit of fun and make friends. You've lived a long life already and had your fun, now you sell candy to kids on a train twice a year. It's not my fault you're in this predicament, so don't blame me for it.
Besides all that, as I mentioned, my life has been hell for as long as I can remember. Now I realize that there's another world out there. A world of magic and wonder. And many people seem to know of me. Can you tell me why no one helped me out? Ever? When I was beaten or starved or locked in a small broom closest for days? You wizards and witches can do anything, and yet you turn a blind eye to so much suffering. I would give all my gold to get back those years of wasted youth, but I can't. No matter how much I want to, they're lost. All the while you were pushing this little trolley selling candy to smiling and blissfully unaware kids. I wonder how many nights I was laying in bed, not having eaten in days, while you had a nice meal. But I won't dwell on it.
Quantitative Easing by the Gringotts Reserve System.
Show about the American school when?
Good intro, based "No!" poster
That's too complex for my muggle-befuddled curmudle
>Snake House are the good guys in the American school
There's kids being raped and enslaved every where in the world and you're crying just because you had a warm room and a plate of food everyday.
Pretty sure they used the sorcerers stone to create counterfeit gold.
They 'haven't met their inflationary target' because the CPI basket is manipulated.
Yeah, there are kids worse off than me. There's always someone worse off than you are. That doesn't mean it's bad or wrong to feel upset at times. We all have our own frames reference and our own feelings about things. Since you brought it up, what are wizards doing about exploited and abused children? Do you turn a blind eye to them? I've seen you wizards and witches teleport at the drop of a hat, cast magic spells that seem like miracles to people like me. What are you doing to help "muggles" as you call them? Nothing, I assume? My whole life I thought I was nothing more than human garbage, only time find out this whole other world exists, where magic is normal, where miraculous feats are commonplace. It seems to me you lot are sitting in an ivory tower, looking down at the lesser races you consider worthless.
So you ask me to have empathy towards others, but what empathy have you shown others? What empathy does the wizarding world at large have for those less fortunate than themselves? So far all I've seen is that gold is king in this world, because it's what your kind has taught me.
why does the wizarding world have money? shouldn't they have a post-scarcity star trek economy?
Post-scarcity is a meme even the wizards cant overcome
post scarcity doesn't exist because value is congenital to human nature
even in virtual game worlds where people could theoretically have anything they want, what differences exist between people create new value systems that favor certain groups
