I don’t like this guy’s movies at all. On the one hand they’re trying to ne really edgy and gritty, but they’re so awkward and silly that they just bore me. That stuff in DAC about the mom who works at the bank was embarrassing.

DAC in particular has a complete lack of urgency in its execution (editing, direction, visuals), like the movie is constantly shrugging. Combine that with cheesy shit and extremely unsubtle dialogue and social commentary and it becomes a slog for me. Did really like the lack of non-diegetic music, though!
