Avatar The Last Airbender New Series Coming

The two original creators of the Avatar series are currently in the works for a new Live-Action Netflix series.

Whether it will be a new story like Korra, or a live adaptation of the classic series is still unclear as they are still in pre-production and casting hasn't even begun yet, but what is confirmed is that it will be live action, on Netflix, made by the original Avatar team, and not shamalynanalman.

Thoughts?

>Thoughts?
Fuck off

I only saw the first season of Korra so I probably won't watch this

Why not do an earthbender avatar sequel series themed on modern China?

Unfortunately, the Avatar team proved to be a one-time success. Korra lived up to its potential infrequently, and the end of every single season left me with a bad taste in my mouth.

>They fell for the live action meme
Why, part of the appeal was that it looked like an anime which helped with shit such as the spirit world, now all the fights will just be CGI fests along with them trying to make the animals look realistic (have fun with trying to imagine what a realistic platypus bear will look like). Did they not learn from M Night that a live action Avatar is just a bad idea.

Korra killed the show. Fuck those gooks

>live action
dropped
Would love a Korra followup though

I wonder how many strong, independent brown womyn will be in this one

Fuck off retard

One of the biggest problems of the live action movie was that they whitewashed all the characters

That’s being said this is gonna blow because, if the movie was any indication, Avatar can’t be translated into live action well especially not with a tv show budget

just to "right the wrongs m.night did"

>Live-Action Netflix
yikes

>One of the biggest problems of the live action movie was that they whitewashed all the characters

No one wants to watch movies about shitskins, not even shitskins

Just let it rest in peace

Whitewashing characters is just as bad as blackwashing characters

For example the Avatar movie is just as bad as the casting for the Witcher tv show/ gods of Egypt (or vice versa since the avatar movie came first)

>life action
How do they still try to make this a thing?

>One of the biggest problems of the live action movie was that they whitewashed all the characters
That's retarded.

You really think this is good casting?

(Zukos good tho)

They're gonna have Zendaya as Katara.

Cap this.

No, Zuko should be white too, who the fuck thought casting that Pajeet was a good idea?

>(Zukos good tho)
this has to be bait

now they have a real reason to cast non-whites

This. Avatar has too much fantastical shit to work well for live-action adaptation. You'd need a ridiculously big budget to even get close, and I still think it would be damn near impossible to get right.
