Godzilla KOTM review

>Go watch movie with bros
>Grab a big bucket of popcorn and a blueberry slushy
>sit down with friends ready to watch movie
>trailers start
>new MIB movie
>See the new mascot, how ugly and annoying he looks
>Think about popping his head off like a pimple with my thumbs while he's screaming
>Start laughing hard, tell my friend we are both cackling
>Laugh so hard I can't breath
>Shit my pants
>Have to go to the restroom and clean my draws
>make it back at the part where Gidora is shooting lightning at that one girl from Stranger Things

I can't get an accurate read on this yet. How terrible are the human scenes? Do they take away from the monsters at all? Are the fights good? Is it worth seeing in the theater?

The fight scenes are cool, just tune out during the human scenes and think about how cool godzilla is

If the human scenes were a stand-alone movie, it'd be a solid 5/10, but that being said they didn't detract from the monsters, didn't add a whole lot, mainly just there to transition from one fight to another.

It’s not high art but it’s a fun movie. Definitely see it in the theater.

pay tribute to the original godzilla

He's fat, no one wants to go see a fat godzilla.

Thanks. I'll see it on Wednesday.

This will be the first movie I have seen in theaters in like 3 years. Going this afternoon.

The quips and shit characters grate but there are good scenes every 15-20 minutes. The Rodan part is gold.

I thought this movie was sooo boring

based and dare i say redpilled!?!?!

They're not terrible, just out of place at some points and there are too many characters.

>waaaahhh I am some hipster faggot that thinks being a godzilla fan is some sort of arthouse pleasure
>waaaahh my recent godzilla movie didnt have layered stories and deep characters
>its was just filled with long monster battle scenes

Critics and nu-fans are absolutely worthless and should be taken out back and shot.

This is the first time hollyjew did godzilla right.

This movie was 1 hour and 45 minutes of boring uninspired shit with 15 mins of stuff actually worth seeing
Wait for someone to upload all the Godzilla parts to YouTube

brazen lies.

>its was just filled with long monster battle scenes
Except it wasn't

>that one girl from Stranger Things
she's so cute. gonna watch this just for her

I am glad to know you did not see the movie and are just here to shill for whatever gayness you are paid too.

It’s a big budget Showa movie, for better AND worse. There are lots of monster brawls and crazy weird Godzilla shit. It also inherited lots of the weaknesses of that era like corny stories, poor dialogue, and repetitiveness. If that’s your jam, you’ll love it. They do an amazing job of emulating that era, but do not at all filter the weaknesses it has. Monster action is awesome, but expect some bizarre sci fi shit and stupid human shit.

I saw the movie and I wouldn't say it had long monster fight scenes, and it definitely didn't have the long wide shot monster fight scene with the cityscape as the stage à la the Toho films that I was hoping for. The movie wasn't bad, but there was definitely a better one that could have been made with some relatively minor changes.

so is there any camrip yet?

i want to watch this badboy

Should’ve added that I’d only see it on the big screen. It was pretty cool on the big screen, but I probably wouldn’t care to see it otherwise unless it included more material.

human scenes as a stand-alone would be a 1/10. Truly terrible.

Human scenes damn near ruined the movie, and they're pervasive throughout it.

watch it in theater user, the roars sounds pay for themself

oh man i only watch movies in special ocasions and in theather in SUPER special ocasions

i went to watch dragon ball super with my nephew this year actualy, 5th time i ever went to see a movie in a theater in my whole life

Saw it earlier today in IMAX, massive improvement over the 2014 one in every regard. There's some clunky dialogue and a couple of needless quips but don't let that stop you. Only thing I wanted more of was Mothra vs Rodan, everything else delivered big time.

>my entire body and spirit when Burning Godzilla

God awful. The drama feels forced. Endless boring exposition. A hundred forgettable, paper thin characters. Infuriating attempts at quips like "Oh my God." "Zilla!"
Also every single human scene takes place in a dark room with bright wall screens. It's exhausting to watch.
Monster fightan was cool, though.

>Dragon Ball Super
What are you, some kind of faggot?

i want to watch a movie about a giant penis with arms that fire blue lasers againt a 3 head dragon from space
what do you think?

The main characters are terrible, only the Asian characters are good.

Probably would be one of my favorite movies I've ever seen in theatre but that cuck with the receding hairline knocked it back.

8.7/10 Very Kino

I'm very thankful for them as they served as my bathroom breaks. Didn't miss any monster fightan.

So, the monster fight scenes are good. But how much globohomo is in this? I like to be forewarned.

what cuck with a receding hairline?
