Netflix doesn’t really run conventional ads so I think they spend they marketing dollars mainly on promoting new stuff

It's the kids who have been basically been brought up by social media. You can't really blame them, they don't know any better. But I agree, it's pretty fucking sad, considering most of them are going to be popping pills for mental health issues in the near future.

This movie was funnier than the last Will Ferrel and Seth Rogan movies

I talked about this with my Chinese gf after we finished watching it. Even though she was the one who suggested it, she wanted to cut and run even before the 1 hour mark. We made it to the end only by MST3King it. You could tell the script was thrown together hastily and Ali Wong unfortunately can't act. The most enjoyable part of the movie was the Keanu cameo which sucks because it was so deep into the movie. Shit like this is being pushed by white guilt-ridden critics who in my opinion feel like that if they do their part as good SJW allies in giving these turds a pass, movie studios will see that minority-focused films are profitable and in turn increase minority representation in films. But all it does is ruin their credibility in the eyes of John and Jane Q pubic. Even my gf, who leans left, feels lied to and less eager to see any film hyped up as this mainly on race. Lucky for us we're using her brother's Netflix account so we didn't have to give Netflix any money for this.
