How has this been demonstrated in the show? Daenerys repeatedly listens to Jon above everybody else. Her last line is about ruling together with him.

There was no reason to compromise with Grey Worm. There is no reason for Jon and Tyrion to be kept alive in the first place. There is no reason why Jon's Targ heritage magically stopped being important. There is no reason for Jon to be sent to the Wall because Grey Worm leaves before his punishment is even carried out.
And the Dothraki replinish and are not even addressed as a potential problem. We see is a few of them on the docks and that's it.

The book does this tons of times. It talks shit about the usual fantasy thematics like honour, justice, valour. But then later on it shows those sorts of things and the men that embody them are the ones that live on beyond their time, not the pragmatists or amoral ones.
