Book Winterfell is so comfy. It feels like the seat of a Great Lord, not a stone ghetto or fort owned by a lesser lord. The show had a weird insistence of robbing the North of all pageantry and colour and making it way more of an underdog than it was the books.

I mean “crazy” colloquially. I don’t think she’s literally insane but she’s really unbalanced, not very bright, and is a slave to her emotions. Sansa is much kinder, less arrogant, and has a kind of self-control that Cersei never even came close to achieving. They’re both beautiful and socially competent but Sansa is growing into a better person.

Merging storylines is what fucks up character development. Merging Griff with Cersei led to Cersei essentially becoming Lena Headey as a Villain Sue. Merging Stannis with Jon is what led to Jon suddenly getting a desire to rule out of nowhere, and then giving it up, merging Edric with Gendry led to the Stormlands somehow accepting an illiterate peasant with no proven connection to Robert as Lord of Storm's End.

So the girl gets her wish and is rid of her stepmother, but her husband as well she ended up not getting all to herself.
