Look mom, I'm cinematographying
Everything about this movie is just perfect. I wish it was longer. I wish there were more scenes where nothing happens except exploring through the city.
You don't like art? Do you play videogames? Someone created that, that's art. Better yet, you like posting on Yea Forums? Check it out. Your screen is the canvas, your keyboard is the paint brush. Boom, you and your trips are art.
t. butthurt amateur cinematographer
imagine being bald and having to sit in some lifeless concrete shed while bright yellow light shines on you all day during work
do dookies in the toilet count? do floor dookies count? if so, which has more artistic value?
>imagine being bald
This
>retard incels will claim this is good
Its an ai
I don't like the rusty part of the movie.
Except for the yellow light, it sounds a lot like my life
This movie's aesthetically beautiful but the pacing can be a bit weird and inconsistent towards the end
>artificial light in a world where light is entirely blocked out by pollution is baaad
context makes it twice as good, have sex
Minus the baldness and yellow, that's pretty much everyone's life.
just realized that this is a metaphor for how little corporations care for their employees
It looks pretty but it looks like any other big budget artsy blockbuster and it's sterile as fuck. I'll take the original's grimy smokey look any day.
> me no like popular thing
Imagine wasting your youth away in front of blue light haha.
Satan is right for once
Fuck you.
My uncle's bald and everyone loves him. He's funny and muscular, though, so that probably balances it out.
Haha, could you even imagine? Not me
blade runner walking sim when
Cyberpunk 2077 might come out sometime this decade
that's production design, not cinematography
Thank you. Also, why is 2049 so bare and plain when Blade Runner was almost stupidly thick with ornamental nonsense and detail?
Only if you havent seen any Villenueve
It's almost like they're two different movies made by different people. Baffling really.
looks shitty though.
2049 is the greatest looking film ever made.
What I'm asking is why did the sequel make such a striking departure from the first film? What is the reasoning behind the change?
Can I watch this without first watching the original?
Yes, but watch the original anyway, it's amazing as well.
THATS A FUCKIN GOOD ASS LOOKING FUCKIN SPOON
ABSOLUTELY NOT
Jared Leto's performance was embarrassing.
Until Dune.
>Zoomers think this dogshit passes for “kino”
The absolute state of this board
Eh, looks alright to me desu
this film is what cemented Yea Forums as being a reddit infested shit hole. the amount of brainlets who praise this film as being great while literally unable to explain why they think it's good other than 'the visuals, are so epic.... that's why I like it'.
it's hilarious watching these stuttering pseuds relating to a guy who literally cannot act and plays autistic robots. it just sums this place up perfectly. they're mindless drones who mistake a boring, barley fleshed out plot as some 'slow burn, cerebral epic.' they think it looks pretty and then pretend it has some deep meaning or subtext about SOCIETY.
this is why I like series
they can afford doing this and not having people revolt at it if (it's reasonable), because you can skip those parts
also , videogames, where you can have that
it's too generic and safe.
The world looks like themepark garbage too.
Too clean with none of the seedyness
I will never fully comprehend how dumb and how shit your taste is. ignorance is bliss.
fucking soulless
Can't wait for this world to collapse, so you have nothing.
>But you see, I am no drone myself, I am very special.
Yes you are.
Well the first one is dreamish and ultimately about the beauty of the human experience which translates visually with constant fog and elaborate production design while 2049 is nightmarish and distances itself from the human experience so it's barren and cold.
do you guys love this movie ironically like TDKR or what? I don't get it
Y-Yeah could you imagine
It reminds me I have to fap furiously to ComicBookGirl19's Blade Runner set
>Everything about this movie is just perfect. I wish it was longer. I wish there were more scenes where nothing happens except exploring through the city.
>like TDKR
Made me chuckle
And that's great cinematography, no wonder you got an oscar for it
How do you get your face to be that wide
this movie was hideous, i stopped watching halfway through. and I usually like slow plotless movies.
Yeah
While the plot resolution revolves around some of the people from last movie its still almost fully about K, his holo waifu
You can get everything just from this movie alone without missing anything
It even intentionally avoids answering intentionally open ended questions from last movie, i really appreciate that since it dosnt fuck up the lore be giving one concrete answer, people can still argue over the ending of last movie as they always did
Mo brother watched this one first and understood everything, didnt even think there was another movie since this one gives you all info you need and dosnt rely on the original in any way
Based Franco
there was even a theory that villeneve deliberately made it like this to troll people
It's self-contained so sure, but you're a fucking moron for posting on a television and film board without watching classics like the original Blade Runner.
Unlikely, Roger Deakins isn't shooting Dune.
You mean Fallout 4: 2077 - Press X to hate cyber-newspapers edition.
>shot on digital
2049 is a good movie, but that's mainly it. It's not a revolutionary work of art that changed the medium as a whole and gave birth to hundreds of other works like the original did. I just don't like the feeling that I get from reading these threads because it seems like people only like it since they can self-insert into K's character and imagine themselves as him. Stuff like that cheapens the movie for me personally, but then again Yea Forums is Yea Forums and stuff like that should be expected considering what this place has become over the years. I guess the best way to put it would be that something about the new one feels hollow and that it's not going to be a movie that people still talk about decades after like the original was.
>flick is shot on film
>focal point is off in half the scenes
>imagine clipping the highlights in your digitally shot movie
what a hack.
Gotta sell those HDR TVs and blurays somehow
>NEED MORE EXPLOSIONS PFFFFHGBBBLGHRHRHGHHRGHRBGHR
Yikes
Only because of pic related
here ya go
Shit, that's actually neat. I've never even heard about it before.
The world's most beautiful beaner. How do I get a gf like this guys?
Is Dune going to be extreme kino like 2049?
Just play the point and click adventure game from the 90s.
