Bravo, Lewis.
>sees through symbolism of a book Lewis made for his 8 year old niece
>hahaha, how obvious
you are worse than "yeah science" redditors that make fun of flat earthers
He looks so comfy and warm.
I want to hug him.
They got Aslan pretty much perfect.
I really hope that the Netflix Narnia content that's coming is going to pick up where the movies left off. If they try to re-do the same books as the movies on a Netflix budget it will be embarrassing and we'll barely see any of the animal characters.
Right looks more realistic. Left looks like a stuffed toy.
Realistic is not a value judgment though.
The allegory was always explicit. Saying you saw through Narnia is like saying you saw through the irony of a joke. That's the point.
Damn, it's almost as if its a childrens book. Fucking idiot.
Named my big tabby cat after Aslan. Absolute lad, love him to bits. If he's indoors I'll get a pic.
Is Narnia worth watching/reading?
Both. It's comfy.
Garbage Christian propaganda vs garbage communist propaganda
Right is promotional material. Left is a shot form the movie.
Right is a movie about lions. Left is a movie about humans that happens to feature cgi animals.
Yes. The books are a light read and you can get through them easily enough. The movies make some changes but overall they're good adaptations. Even though they only did the first three they closed on a clean arc.
The BBC versions are fun
The fat kid in the class that we all bullied made a presentation about narnia so anybody who likes it must be a hopeless virgin
This. The books were literally written for a child. It a good series to get kids into reading.
Send the pic user, I'm waiting.
>the netflix narnia content
Fucking yikes, is nothing sacred for them?
From what I recall they are planning "a TV series and movies." They have not said anything about what those are, though.
The best case scenario would be that they are doing a TV series of A Horse and his Boy and they are finishing off the movie series, but I should not be so optimistic. I have a pretty low opinion of Netflix's original content and most of their movies look like you're supposed to watch them on your phone. I really don't want them to fuck up Narnia, though, and if they try to re-do the first three books that is an automatic failing grade from me. The movies are not perfect but they are better than anything that Netflix would be able to do, so why flush money down the toilet on new adaptations of the same books?
Here he is. Not the most flattering pic of him, he's usually quite handsome. He's back to sleep now tho
>2019 lion centric movie has worse looking lions than 2005 movie where the lion has about 8 minutes sceentime
they're both awful. Lion, Witch and The Wardrobe and The Golden Compass is pretty much when I gave up on going to the movies weekly.
What a nice looking cat. Thanks for sharing him, user.
REAL lions flip out ALL THE TIME and kill people.
The real crime of the Lion King remake is that DonGlover is voicing Simba and not Eddie Redmayne.
Fucking furry.

>Lion King
>Communist
The movie argues that what people need is monarchy, but with liberalism, and uses fascist rhetoric to push this point.
Poor guy was born for this. He even has the surname "Redmayne," and Simba has a red mane. He's not black though and apparently lions belong to black people now (even though they were widespread in Europe, Asia and even the Americas until fairly recently).
