I saw Keano Reeves at a grocery store in Los Angeles a while ago and told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

This is actually it. While many actors will bullshit about their co-stars being these amazing human beings to work with whenever one talks about Keanu it always comes off very genuine. It's like the best form of pr, just people always talking about how cool and hardworking you are. And then you actually see him in interviews and he presents as this humble, shy, vaguely hawaiian dude and whenever the interviewer tries to compliment him he just tries to turn it into a joke

I dig him because he acts like the weird loner type. A kind of guy who likes what he likes, is passionate about his work yet doesn't take himself too seriously. While I do think all the memes about Keanu being too pure are blatant marketing foo foo, but I see him as a genuine guy. Doesn't hurt that he's been the lead in some pretty good movies as well. He's one of the few actors where I'll be more inclined to watch whatever they're in just because they're in it, along with Gosling, Harrison Ford, and Christian Bale.

I'm really inclined into watching Reeves' latest appearance on the big screen, but the problem is that I currently reside in the land of the rising autism, and I can't find any movie theater that has Parabellum on display.

Trust me, I'm not against pirating in any way.

The other issue is that I left the good old computer half way across the world when I came here, and now rely on an android and an iPad for internet interaction, and I'm not as proficient in using both as I am in pirating stuff through the PC.

Also, I have an easy time pirating movies that have already been released on the web, but something that is still restricted to the big screens? Now that's a different story.

Maybe I'll do as instructs and wait for the blu-ray release. Maybe pirate it afterwards or just buy the dann thing.

But I am kind of frustrated by the lack of western movie releases here in Japan. Instead of waiting a month to watch John Wick 3 online, I would gladly and eagerly spend 3sen yen to watch it on Toho Cinemas.

But alas, it seems this was not meant to be.
