The film is a fever dream masterpiece shot by a multi-academy award winning cinematographer. It is art. Actual, honest to God art. If it had more sex scenes in it, it would be regarded as some kind of Lynchian-tier examination of the human condition, but because it's ostensibly aimed at children, it was misunderstood.
The film is twisted at its heart. And that makes it beautiful.
