This always felt like a show targeted at just blacks, in comparison to Family Matters or Fresh Prince which were black shows that anyone could get into, and it would make me wonder why it wasn't on BET instead.

There was an entire episode where they talk about how BET is evil and how it promotes the worst, most stereotypically "hood" aspects of black culture for the financial gain of some soulless black execs and white jewish writers

Pretty sure most of the people who watch it are white. I see it as in a similar vein as chappelle's show where there's a lot that can be universally appreciated even if the social commentary and satire is mainly about black culture or a gentle ribbing of white people.
