Because you can market these comic book movies to kids all around the entire world. In China, India, Africa, Europe, South America, I'll bet even nomad kids with tv sets in Siberia watch capeshit. And it also appeals to older people who grew up with those comics and always wondered what they would be like in a movie. then you have the women demographic, so they sprinkle in SJW pro-wymyn shit some scenes of them kicking ass as well as blacks kicking ass and you targeting every demographic. The action movies conversely are typically for young men and usually young white men. It's targeting a single demographic + it has less momentum than the comic book shit.
