Which is the best Tarankino?
Which is the best Tarankino?
Jackie Brown, although I also really enjoyed Reservoir, Pulp and Hateful 8
Kill Bill..Jacki Brown...feet...Resovoure Dogs...feet...Pulp Fiction...Kill Bill 2...Inglorous...Dusk till dawn...True Romance...everything else.
Nod at 4 Rooms because it doesnt belong in thetrash pile with DeathProof.
kill bill
Pulp Fiction.
By a significant margin.
Wrong
Correct only contrarians disagree
The fact that everyone thinks this but then thinks 'oh shit if i say PF people will think i'm some entry level pleb' just shows its the best
This is the truth.
Dogs is way better...even Bunny agrees. Also O Ren vs. The Bride is brilliance...thats 4 minutes or so of film that you know took ages to execute perfectly. Kill Bill in general is pure Tarentino autism and it will probably never happen again.
What is the WORST Tarantino?
For me it's django
Pulp
This, rewatched it a couple of days ago, shit is just amazing.
>For me it's django
What a pleb opinion. DiCaprio's and SLJ's performances alone elevated the film.
>Pulp fags coming out of the woodwork.
I bet you cock jugglers love Boondock Saints and think Jakie Brown is boring.
Deathproof. It's a movie no one has actually watched or remembered, so it doesn't even come up as his "worst", so you get meme answers like
Django or Death Proof, can't decide
Di Caprio can't act and Jackson's one trick pony isn't even utilized properly
What did he mean by this?
either Pulp or Bill, you can try to make a case for other ones but the sheer gravity that those two movies for some reason speaks for itself the perfection of the notes hit consecutively by those movies
that doesn't mean they're great movies, doesn't even mean that they're good, but it means that they fit together on levels of the pacing and style and structure of the narrative and it's display that shows very strong understanding and imagination for film making
>Di Caprio can't act
>In a role where he's finally out of the mold of a hot protagonist hunk
Okay, buddy.
>one trick pony
Because a black plantation overseer is such a beaten and clichéd role.
Checked. But if you can watch a film and at least sit back and say "well that was well executed" isn't it at least good?
He has probably sniffed his farts after typing in all this condensed pretentiousness, leave him alone.
Agreed...
Once upon a time in Kinowood
nice
Stream it, Tarantula
I agree 100%. To me saying that a movie was good or great, is a reflection of my level of enjoyment. I think Pulp Fiction is a great movie for exactly the reasons you've stated. The best things about Tarantino in his prime were his passion and creativity.
Basterds.
some, as in a lot of people don't give shit about execution if they don't like the movie in general, most people see movies for the story and only that
why would I pretend I'm not great
>rips off other films
>references other films
>ends everything in le epic shootout
>everybody speaks the same
>pointless cameos in his own films
>tries to be cool all the time
>basically creates juvenile garbage geared towards 15 year olds
>never ever matured
He had great potential based on Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown. Shame that he decided to throw out any maturity he had and just kept making juvenile wannabe cool trash. Hopefully Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will be a return to form.
This is his best movie and the best big budget mainstream movie from the first decade of the 2000's.
Proof me wrong.
Either the Diner arc or the arc where Vincent actually pops Phil Lamar in the dome from Pulp Fiction. Aside from those I'm not really a fan of his movies.

>juvenile wannabe cool trash
Someone has to have fun.
Everything else is so goddamn canned/rehash/serious these days
Greatness of a movie can be determined by re-watchability. As in you can happily sit through the whole thing over and over, usually because you notice something new every time, or hear something new every time. I've seen Pulp Fiction hundreds of times at this point and still it fascinates me every time I watch it. Same with Casino.
kek this level of physical embellishment is on par with Ben Garrison's Trump
Tarantino hasn't had a good film, let alone "kino"
The original trilogy
JB/pulp/dogs
Everything else is garbage. Anyone who says Bill/Bastards can just be ignored.
They're all crap.
Pulp Fiction, Casino and Goodfellas are the most rewatchable movies ever.
Honorable mention to Full Metal Jackets and Gladiator.
i dont think he has ever made a film with soul
the final act in kill bill vol. 2 is the closest he's ever been
Kill Bill is a fine B movie. DP is okayish only because of Kurt Russell. IB and DU are good only the first time you see them, in q kinoplex. H8 is trash.
PF > JB > RD
Pulp Fiction has soul.
The Butch arc is great.
Wrong
Starship Troopers is on that list as well
