What did Shireen deserve?
Going to drop the books if Stannis kills Shireen in them as well, desu. Doesn't matter if I do because George will be dead before Spring. Just seems needlessly cruel, wouldn't be shocked if Ramsay dismantles her, or she's sent down to King's Landing if Roose is still about and Qyburn takes her apart looking for a Greyscale cure. ASOIAF is too poorly written to justify it, I'm afraid.
First for wasted potential

It's over. Stop talking about it.
Do you think it was too much?

Born amidst feed and seed
actually i asked last thread and only 1 guy replied so....
Was there a secret passage or something he was trying to find? Why was he down by the ocean?
Order Cersei to marry fAegon. Problem solved.
Now that the show is over, was stannis actually a ham or was it a political move ?
He was a ham
unironically this
That's the passage he was supposed to come out of with Cersei, Why he didn't try to sneak in there in the first place, or why Dany didn't send Arya in to kill Cersei through there, I don't know
>the show crew couldn't even start a campfire without cheat bricks
Is it because campfires require a loicense over there or something? How are these people so inept that they can't even perform a basic boy scout duty?
he WAS trying to sneak in there in the first place, otherwise he wouldn't have been fucking down there
They should have just brought some of the Norn Iron guys over, they're experts at starting fires

Lose every battle then beg Highgarden for help. If that fails, break the betrothal of Tommen and Margery and give Tommen to Dany along with the throne to retain power in the West even if it meant Targ restoration.
Is Qyburn a gamer?
Yes, he lives in a society
>living in a society
When will Sansa be punished for her crimes?
Jon gently taking her virginity
Would /got/ prefer to see Shireen on the Throne instead of Sansa?
What was the High Sparrow's endgame exactly? I don't believe for one fucking second that it was to enforce religion because there is no cunt in history who was that pious and not hiding something.
user that sounds like rape
They can't rape her, it will only make her stronger
GoT ripoff they're airing

uhhh why not? what do you care?
>Sansa, you looked so beautiful when Jon and Daenerys raped you. Now I'm glad you broke your promise in front of the weirwood tree
Is Tywinposting the new Bobbyposting?
Yi Ti?
Do you not understand Tywin's entire character? He doesn't want Tyrion, the whoring dwarf embarrassment of the Lannister family, to do his whoring and drinking in King's Landing in front of everyone at court and further embarrass the Lannister name. As a teenager he saw vassal Houses taunt and mock his father for being weak and rode out and extinguished their entire lineage without permission. It's kind of his thing.
Fuck I forgot, doesn't Shireen have a crush on Jon in the books or something
How, she's never even seen him
No matter how much you bitch and moan about it, you literally cannot deny that the Iron Throne belongs to Stannis by all the laws of gods and men.
Yeah, apart from when Shireen is at the wall
I think it was more a crush on him as a legend than actually him. Think like when Tywin told Cersei she would one day marry Rhaegar. It was a crush on his legends, even though they've never met. Actually I think Cersei met Rhaegar by that time, but you get it. Another example would be Salsa being "in love" with Joffrey early on despite not knowing him. It's a young person's infatuation with the stories of someone instead of the actual person.
I'm a big Stannis fan but all the laws of gods and men mean shit during and after conquest. Robert only sat the Throne due to conquest, not by laws of gods and men. If someone can take the throne by force, it is theirs by rights. Might makes right.
>“You? They said you were young, but …” Queen Selyse’s face was pinched and pale. She wore a crown of red gold with points in the shape of flames, a twin to that worn by Stannis. “… you may rise, Lord Snow. This is my daughter, Shireen.”
>“Princess.” Jon inclined his head. Shireen was a homely child, made even uglier by the greyscale that had left her neck and part of her cheek stiff and grey and cracked. “My brothers and I are at your service,” he told the girl. >Shireen reddened. “Thank you, my lord.”
Shireen has met Jon, though.
A healthy realm is a realm ruled by laws. Only godless opportunists and anarchists like Littlefinger discard them with the excuse "might makes right." Stannis is the king.
Stannis only has a claim on the throne due to "godless opportunists" discarding the laws of gods and men and taking the throne in the first place - his brother Robert and the Lords behind him in the Rebellion like Ned.
It's all subjective. Who has the best claim to the throne? The next in line on the Baratheon side, or scattered remnants of the Targaryen lineage? Who holds the throne is decided by the Lords of Westeros agreeing to it.
The rebellion was caused by Aerys violating the rights of his lords paramount by summarily executing them without provocation. Law and order was restored by deposing a king who had rejected the principles of law and order in favor of madness. It is by these same principles of law and order that Stannis is the king. Stannis is the king.
Based
>not understanding primogeniture and feudal contract law this badly
ChAoShh IsHh a LaDa (Niva)
Based
The more I think about this, the more I think it's based. Cat unironically caused everything that was shit to happen almost single handedly. Never have I seen as good an example of just an enormous fucking cunt ruining everything
>Law and order was restored by deposing a king who had rejected the principles of law and order in favor of madness.
And who rightfully has a claim to that throne after the king gone mad was deposed? The laws of gods and men would say his heirs. Rhaegar would be the rightful king, but he was already dead so the next in line would be the rightful king - Aegon. But The Mountain killed Aegon, his sister, and his mother to extinguish the lineage. If we can step back a bit further, it's what happened to Stannis (in the show anyway). Stannis was next in line on the Baratheon side. Then he was killed. You claiming Stannis is the rightful king is the same as me claiming Rhaegar is the rightful king. Only those alive and able and willing to fight for the throne, and willing to gain support from the Lords of Westeros are able to claim the throne.
Cat did nothing wrong
Instead of just standing there while everyone laughed, why didn't Sam point out the Ironborn have partial democracy (every ship captain can vote) and the Night's Watch has full? Sure, the rest of the lords would probably say the Ironborn are dipshits and the Night's Watch is full of criminals, but at least make a fucking argument when you're proposing a massive revolutionary change to government.
Obviously the real reason the line was there was so the audience could say "haha those silly characters don't know like I do that it's feudalism that's the bad system!"
>Ned
>seven hells!
what did he mean by this?
I couldn't care less about what happened in the show and neither should you or anyone else who purports to be a "huge Stannis fan." Stannis is still alive as of the start of TWOW and for so long as he draws breath, he is the rightful king. End of story.
They deserved to win, bros...
First, Lyanna wasn't abducted, so Brandon had nothing to be upset about. He overreacted.
Second, he demanded Rhaegar's head infront of the red keep, and was arrested for it.
Third, Aerys summoned Rickard to King's Landing to answer for his sons plotting to kill the crown prince
Fourth, Rickard chose trial by combat, Aerys chose wildfire as his champion and burned him, "winning" the duel
Fifth, Brandon strangled himself, not Aerys
Aerys did nothing wrong (at first)
>not understanding primogeniture and feudal contract law this badly
Pretty ironic since we are talking about Stannis' "lawful claim" yet a person not related to Robert, with no real legitimate claim, sits on the throne.
An oligarchy that votes amongst themselves on who should be leader is a far cry away from a liberal democracy.
I fucking hate that so much, because they do the really obvious "democracy? HA, don't you remember these are MEDIEVAL characters, sweaty?"
They give us that blatantly on the nose reminder that it's a different time BUT then two seconds later none of them have a single problem with a impotent cripple ruling them. Remember when the norfeners were talking about mercy-killing bran just because he couldn't use his legs?
>so long as he draws breath, he is the rightful king. End of story.
It literally is not though, fAegon, Dany, and soon to be revealed Jon are remnants of the old Targ line (or pretending to be anyway) and fAegon is probably going to gain the support of 3, maybe 4 great Houses of Westeros as the rightful king before Dany comes over and goes full Mad Queen and nukes King's Landing. Again, it's all subjective. On the Baratheon side, yes, Stannis is definitely the rightful king by all the laws of gods and men. But it will be decided by conquest, not the laws. The laws will be shaped around the conquest, not the other way around.
A pfffffft those saber tooth helmets look silly as fuck
Where did all the Dothraki go? I mean they've been a part of the show since the first episode, couldn't we get a single line about how they all went back to Essos or are causing trouble somewhere, instead of so much Tyrion screentime?
He was giving Tyrion a real opportunity to do the lannister name proud and dint want him fucking up. On a deeper level he may have been trying to amend his and his father's pattern of infidelity.
*steals the throne from the Tyrells, Lannisters, Baratheons and Dany*

They were at the dock, that's all the explanation it needed

I like Young Griff. I like him a lot
>Stannis never gets the throne, and the majority of Westeros opposes his claim in favour of a bastard born of incest
What did he mean by this?
most fan art makes Brienne look like a retard or hillbilly
The Targs never tried to have their power be an anointed right by the gods didn't they?
Maybe that's why it was possible to overthrow them without major repercussions
because the script demanded it. that’s the only explanation for this shit.
1. There was no way for Brandon to know that, given that Rhaegar in all his infinite autism took her away in the middle of the knight and then vanished without a trace. To literally everyone in the 7 kingdoms it looked like a kidnapping
2. The kidnapping and rape of a lord paramount's daughter is a crime punishable by death and Brandon did nothing wrong by demanding that justice be done
3. Requesting that the prince answer for his crimes is not "a plot," it is how things should work
4. Tying a man up and lighting him on fire is not a trial by combat, fuck off Aerys you goddamn lunatic.
Aerys lost his right to the Throne when he so flagrantly broke the social contract between lord and vassal. He forfeited it for both himself and his line, as fails to understand. No Targaryen born from Aerys' tainted bloodline holds any claim to the Iron Throne. Stannis is the king.
>When word of Aegon's Landing reached Oldtown, the High Septon locked himself in the Starry Sept for seven days and nights, seeking after the guidance of the Seven. On the seventh day, the Crone allegedly lifted her golden lamp and showed that Oldtown would burn if the city opposed the Targaryens. Manfred Hightower, Lord of the Hightower, decided not to oppose Aegon by force of arms and House Hightower therefore was not involved with the Field of Fire.
>When Aegon and his host approached Oldtown they found the city gates open and Lord Hightower riding forth in submission. Three days later in the Starry Sept, the High Septon anointed Aegon with the seven oils, placed a crown upon his head and proclaimed him Aegon of House Targaryen, the First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm. This marked the official beginning of Aegon's reign.
Realistically, they went back to their old ways of raiding, raping, and pillaging. But now they are doing it in the Riverlands
Here's a question. Porn parodies were ruled legal in some court case, so you have ones that feature actual characters from Star Wars and Marvel and other shit. But every GoT parody I've seen is some generic fantasy knockoff with not actual GoT characters. Why do they do this, especially when GoT is already built to have pretty hot scenarios?
No, Aegon was crowned by the High Septon in Old Town.
and yet he never stopped jaime and cersei from fucking. the most unbelievable thing is that a guy like him wouldn’t have known about that way before cersei tells him, what with all the spies and shit he employs
>Aerys lost his right to the Throne when he so flagrantly broke the social contract between lord and vassal.
This so much. Stark and Baratheon rebelled because they had no choice. Aerys was going to kill them anyway. Arryn joined them because it was only a matter of time until Aerys went after him too.
it's not unbelievable at all
Even Kevan figured it out so I presume Tywin just pretends he doesn't know because he doesn't want to deal with it
Yes, but kings in middle ages/absolute monarchies basically said they were on the throne because God willed it (in China there was the "mandate from heaven" version), the High Septon crowning him ex post his conquest looks a bit different, to me at least
he implies that he does know at one point in the show
in tyrion's trial episode he says to jaime
>you will father children named lannister
which implies he knows (or suspects) that jaime has other children NOT named lannister. but knowing how retarded d&d are it's not surprising they kinda forgot what tywin does and doesn't know.
>There was no way for Brandon to know that
So maybe Brandon shouldn't make a bunch of stupid rash decisions, then, since he knows not what actually happened?
>The kidnapping and rape of a lord paramount's daughter is a crime punishable by death
Even IF Rhaegar did that, Brandon wouldn't know, he just assumed the worst and then sperged out like the tard he is
> Requesting that the prince answer for his crimes is not "a plot,"
It fucking is from Aerys' perspective, who for all he knows just watched some angry northerner ride in with his men and call for the death of his son.
>Tying a man up and lighting him on fire is not a trial by combat, fuck off Aerys you goddamn lunatic.
Rickard wasn't tied up, Brandon was.
>Aerys lost his right to the Throne when he so flagrantly broke the social contract between lord and vassal
Agreed, which is why i said that Aerys only did nothing wrong at the start. Demanding the death of Robert and Ned was his fuckup.
with the case of aegon medieval thought would pretty much put his success down to divine providence (which is hard to argue with when you've got dragons) and therefore he would be considered legitimate after the fact based on his success. it's like realpolitik mixed with religion.
What is the point of the wall if there's a tunnel in it?
>is in denial
yeah, that’s the only logical explanation but for someone so cunning and strategic, it’s a pretty big political blind spot to have when it would basically destroy everything he’d built when it was found out.
its because of insurance/workers comp
That was actually Petyr, he deliberately stirred the pot, you'd know this if you'd watched the show.
>So maybe Brandon shouldn't make a bunch of stupid rash decisions, then, since he knows not what actually happened?
Learning that the prince showed up with two members of his Kingsguard in the middle of the night, infiltrated his camp and absconded with Lyanna into the darkness, and concluding that this was a kidnapping was not "rash." That is a kidnapping. The onus is on Rhaegar to come forth and explain himself because to all reasonable eyes in all seven kingdoms, he stole away with Lyanna Stark like a slaver. And the Starks were well within their rights to be pissed. They did absolutely nothing wrong. Rhaegar's outrageous lack of sense sealed his own fate. And Aerys' sadism and disregard for common principles of justice sealed the fate of his house. Their claim to their ancestral throne is voided. Stannis is the king.
i forgot all about that. fuck they were adorable together. he fished her horsie toy out of the ashes didn't he?
>be George R. R. R. Martin
>decide to come up with fantasy names for a fantasy novel series
>"hmmm what's like a good fantasy name. Maybe Peter? No that sounds too normal. How about Petyr? Perfect."
lol
I feel like his piousness was genuine, and went hand in hand with his lust for power. Saviour complex and all that. A populist religious leader riding a huge wave of civil unrest and resentment should have been a dangerous threat to any monarch by his own right, no dark secrets needed.
>Brynden Rivers is a Targ bastard
>kills Aenys which allows Aegon V to become king
>Aegon V exiles him to the Wall
>Brynden transfers his consciousness into Bran
>Jon/Aegon Targaryen is a rightful Targ heir
>kills Dany which allows Bran to become king
>Bran exiles him to the Wall
>Aerys lost his right to the Throne when he so flagrantly broke the social contract between lord and vassal.
This
Swears of fealty are a two way street, in the scene where brienne pledges herself to sansa for example, sansa also has to vow not to ask a service Brienne that would bring them dishonor, and while that is a vow made between a knight and a lady, it does show that such vows have conditions on both sides. I assume the oath between lord and king is similar.
bobby started a new dynasty, and nobody took it by right of conquest. no secret poisoning like a bitch does not count. stannis is next in line.
What the fuck are you doing Dany
>Learning that the prince showed up with two members of his Kingsguard in the middle of the night
He didn't
>infiltrated his camp and absconded with Lyanna into the darkness
He didn't
>and concluding that this was a kidnapping was not "rash." That is a kidnapping
Wow, you just made two (wrong) assumptions of what had happened to Lyanna, and then you assume the worst from the get go.
Boy, you're just as dumb as Brandon was! Imagine if Brandon just chilled, or i don't know, ASKED Aerys about where Rhaegar was? Maybe he should've informed his father? Made Aerys send a raven? NOPE, better just go to King's Landing with a few guys and yell for Rhaegar "to come out and die", what could possibly go wrong? Brandon was stupid and rash, even Ned admits this.
If only Daemon would've ridden over Gwayne Corbray

Hey, which mod is that? Heard there are two got mods
Is it ok for a rather new player or would I be in over my head?
jaime was full of shit in that scene. he threatened brute force and was answered with brute force, that does nothing to discredit the sparrow's motivations.

It's the A Game of Thrones Mod, It's fine for a new player although it turns off a few of the regular CK2 mechanics like technology for some reason
>It's a Dany gets assassinated in 3 days AFFC run
>what about my sins? I broke a sacred oath and stabbed my king in the back, I killed my own cousin, when the Gods judged my brother guilty I helped him escape that justice... what atonement do I deserve?
He's basically saying that the Sparrow didn't go after Jaime because it didn't fulfil his political ambitions. The High Sparrow could go into any brothel in kings landing and arrest 20 people but yet he only goes after those in high political office
>Bayne???
How about Dayne..
reminder that ashara dayne is still alive and living among targaryen remnants in essos
Stay mad, Brynden

Since Stannis was an important character like Renly, he surely also had an on screen death, right?
>tywin's infidelity
I don't remember this in books or show. I thought he loved his wife more than life itself.
Imagine if we got 14 seasons of S1 quality GoT, as George intended, and then the show just had to end forever one day, it'd be devastating. D&D did as a favor by easing us in and weaning us off the show ever since S4.
Tyrion finds Shae in Tywin's bed in both the books and the show
No the user was referring to Tytos, Tywin's dad.
He had many whores in Casterly rock, similarly to Tyrion.
Oh yes my apologies, he only found her all alone, killed any guards she might have had with the help of fucking Arthur Dayne, runs away with her, then fucking vanishes with her for months without bothering to placate her relatives with either a statement from himself or Lyanna to assure that this act of wanton kidnapping wasn't actually an act of wanton kidnapping. Rhaegar made himself look like a kidnapper and was judged as a kidnapper. Brandon did nothing wrong by looking at the facts available to him and concluding that his sister was in urgent danger. When you hear that a van filled with armed men rolls up and grabs your sister off the sidewalk, you dont hang back like a cuck and try sending emails to the driver in case your sister wanted to go. If the driver wanted you to not think this was a kidnapping then he shouldn't have pointed guns at her and told her to get in the car.
truth im happy this show died for me before the end
Dude lost every battle to robb (a 16 years old without war experience) and had to beg to the gods that robb did something stupid to win. fAegon would mop the floor with him
I think they did something wonky to her this season with hairstyle or makeup or lighting or costuming. Even in Season 6 she still looked like her old self.
Tywin’s not married when he’s fucking shae. Not infidelity, just a betrayal to Tyrion.
that's not infidelity, it's lechery. still embarrassing for tywin.
They can't really adapt stuff that doesn't exist, and Gurm is in no hurry to write it.
>ywn never lay you head on Sansa's tummy an go to sleep forever
Her bong genes did something wonky to her
She had her nose done. The tip has been refined.
Thanks user, I’ll give it a go!
High Sparrow's motivation is to clean up the filth infecting the culture of the city. Sniping a few random peasants as they exit a brothel is not a good use of the limited time and resources that he has available to accomplish this. The rot starts at the top and trickles down. He has more important targets.
>Tyrion finds Shae in Tywin's bed in both the books and the show
She was planted there by Varys.
They intentionally condensed AFFC and ADWD into a season and a half when they could've been 4 or 5 seasons easily, we'd only now be getting into TWOW territory, and I assume Martin has enough of the book and outline finished to share for S10.
>fights in a battle and killed by a revenge driven knight
Vs
>stabbed by a vagina shadow baby
lol
that true
So the loss if dragons is the loss of divine providence?
>he only found her all alone
>killed any guards she might have had with the help of fucking Arthur Dayne
How could she be alone if she had guards?
>Circe? Nah, too obvious.... Cersei tho???
It was never good

did you miss the scenes of them destroying the brothel?

It hurts bros
Why are you here
THERE IS NO TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCE IN WESTEROS!
sort of, though it's really the loss of power in general.
I read the prologue of ACOK and I gotta say, FUCK STANNIS! Stannis just stood there and participated in the mocking of Cressen, it was honestly so sickening. Is this who people look up to?
Oh I see, the first "his" is Tyrion, not Tywin?
i looked for you on the trident
He lost battles to the blackfish, not to robb.
No highborn is alone to the point where they have no bodyguards. However, she was alone to the limit of a small enough guard that could be dispatched easily by Rhaegar, Dayne, and Whent. They wanted no witnesses so they waited until she left everyone else's company before striking.
Rhaegar was waiting for her some place near Harrenhal. Brandon had no idea that it was Rhaegar's doing, he just assumed it was.
> Brandon did nothing wrong by looking at the facts available to him and concluding that his sister was in urgent danger
But roaring for the prince's death was fucking stupid, he could be worried for his sister and not act like a retard at the same time.
Rheagar AND Lyanna also handled this stupidly, she should have left a letter for Brandon or some shit when she disappeared.
>When you hear that a van filled with armed men rolls up and grabs your sister off the sidewalk, you dont hang back like a cuck and try sending emails to the driver in case your sister wanted to go
You also don't get your friends, some guns and then go after the men on your own, that's a stupid thing to do. You would contact the police or other local authorities.
>If the driver wanted you to not think this was a kidnapping then he shouldn't have pointed guns at her and told her to get in the car
But she on her own free will you idiot, no one threatened her. What a shitty analogy. It's fucking hilarious that you insist that Brandon did nothing wrong, when Ned says the same shit i'm saying, that he was too hot blooded and rash, and that he fucked up.
>he may have been trying to amend his and his father's pattern of infidelity

>“You go too far, woman,” Lord Stannis said. “He is an old man, and he’s served me well.”
why are all the stark kids wargs in the books yet its never mentioned that any other generations were apart from fucking ages ago?
Was Ned a warg? Seems odd honestly that a whole generation would get it after barely anyone before
Also when did Littlefinger plan the Purple wedding with Olenna? When he was sent out to secure an alliance with them before the battle of the blackwater? Because later in the books Tywin says he forged the alliance and rushed to save the city

how can some TOTAL RANDOM FUCK write a better scene than D&D, who was literally paid to do it?
>You would contact the police or other local authorities.
He literally did do that, dumbass, he rode to KL and demanded to the king (the authorities) that justice be done. And the king murdered him for it. His only crime was in underestimating how paranoid Aerys was.
That doesn't excuse anything. He sense it was going too far, but he still mocked him by commanding Patchface to give his helm to Cressen.
He cried out for Rhaegar, since he thought he was in King's Landing, not Dorne. He didn't involve Aerys.
Try again, user.
norf genes
>David and Dan have been saying for like five years that seven seasons was all they would go, and we got them to go to eight, but not any more than that. So yeah I had accustomed to it, there was a period like five years ago where they were saying "seven seasons" and I was saying "ten seasons" and you know they won, they're the ones actually working on it.
>When asked why the show is ending, he responded, “I don’t know! Ask [showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] when they come through. We could have gone to 11, 12, 13 seasons, but I guess they wanted a life,” he joked.
Imagine being so privileged and vain that you see adapting a highly acclaimed book series into an incredibly acclaimed TV show that earns you a ton of money as "not having a life". Meanwhile 99% of wageslaves give up the best of years of their lives doing mundane shit for a pittance, I feel like literally anyone else adapting it would've done a better job at the very least out of some sense of duty if not personal enjoyment or critical acclaim and financial compensation, or they would've handed it off to someone else.
well, of course tywin would underestimate a green boy of 16 with no real military experience. but the books painted robb as a military genius, while lacking any kind of diplomatic or political sense. robb won every battle but lost the war.

same thin with media, you think Jews are 45x over-represented in MSM executive positions because they are somehow genetically better at producing the news?
fAegon, of course. Varys claims that he has been trained since a very young age at fighting, hunting etc.

no he wasn't, it's explicitly said that Jon is better with a sword and Robb better at jousting
add in the fact that Jon basically spends all his time fighting while Robb was doing admin work as king and Jon is even better as the books progress. fAegon would get stomped because he's never actually been in a real fight, think Jon vs the fookin legend
Jon specifically stated that Robb was always better at fighting than him
Aegon would have been trained by battle-hardened, veteran knights and mercenaries but I don't remember if he's actually ever participated in a battle or has ever duelled anyone yet, I'd assume Jon would probably win in a 1v1 duel
Jon claims in the first book that Robb is better with a lance but he's better with a sword
what do you guys think is actually going to happen to Cersei in the books
fAegon has lead the charge in taking both Griffin's Roost and Storm's End.
I thought Loras said that when comparing himself and Garlan?
Basically replace Show Dany with Cersei, Show Jon with Jaime, and Drogon with wildfire
>from stone-age cavemen fighting wood elves to late medieval full plate and mail
>Old Valyria and its magitek cities
>Braavos literally entering early renaissance Age
I beg to differ. If it werent for those (((maesters))) they could’ve invented the printing press by now
>Benjen gave Jon a careful, measuring look. “You don’t miss much, do you, Jon? We could use a man like you on the Wall.”
>Jon swelled with pride. “Robb is a stronger lance than I am, but I’m the better sword, and Hullen says I sit a horse as well as anyone in the castle.”
>“Notable achievements.”
I wouldn't be surprised if GRRM repeated himself though
this
OH NO NO NO NO NO
Cersei telling Tywin was some of the dumbest shit the tv show pulled, along with Cersei threatening to murder Margaery to her face in s3. Christ I hate the show. It sucked from 2011, not 2015.
>think Jon vs the fookin legend
You mean the fight where he "won" by stabbing the fookin legend in the back of the head when he was distracted by one of Craster's daughterwives?
What if it had been Robert instead of Rhaegar who had unmasked the secret identity of the Knight of the Laughing Tree?
Huh, guess i was mixing the show and books up.
probably much the same but she won't be silently staring out a window permanently, also Jaime will 100% strangle her and then maybe die in the fire or kill himself or some shit idk
I liked the idea that he'll throw them both out a window of the red keep but doubtful
A phenomenal amount of butthurt would take place
>Robb was doing admin work as king
i don't think that's what robb was doing in the riverlands
based
Jon doesn't do much real sword combat in the books. Overall he has the potential to grow into a gifted swordsman but definitely not some insane legend like Arthur Dayne or Jaime. He'll be like his real father: an excellent swordsman and warrior but not one liable to become a legend like others.
exactly, that's where he learned he had to fight dirty. Tanner spit in his face and Jon used that move again vs Styr, at least in the show
same thing Bronn talks to Jaimie about
war is probably prevented
the theory is that Rhaegar and her fell in love as a result of that ,Targs aren't against warrior queens. It's questionable what Bobby would have done, he seems like the type that would love a wife like that, but on the other hand he'd probably never stop whoring regardless
Does homely mean attractive or not? I feel like it's used to mean both attractive and ugly at different points in the books.
homely is ugly, comely is attractive
Homely means unattractive/plain
I think you're confusing homely with comely. Comely meaning attractive.
Oh okay, though I thought for sure there's been times where homely was used in a positive context.
I seriously cannot looking as Williams in s8 without laughing. Her trying to look all badass whilst having a hideous potato face.
Imagine if Ned and Lyanna had fucked off to Essos to form a sellsword company together.

Reminder that Brandon Stark fucked Ashara
nice triskelions
>Would /got/ prefer to see X on the Throne instead of Sandra?
How is this even a question? Yes, obviously.
#MyQueen
>Sam is literally the only person to have a stable loving relationship
>it's still an extremely weird and cucked affair
Really makes you think
>Stark
>not Brandon Stark
it's obvious there's supposed to be some ambiguity, even at this stage.
Yeah, but Ned would not have "dishonored" Ashara
>Arryn joined them
Wasn't it more like Aerys called for Ned and Robert's head and Arryn was like "nah fuck this, raise the banners"?
I am sickened but aroused
>Not using chisel and hammer to get her off.
Barristan doesn't know anything, he's an unreliable narrator
True King and Queen
>First, Lyanna wasn't abducted, so Brandon had nothing to be upset about.
stop applying modern standards you mong
it makes virtually zero difference if lyanna wanted to go or not
Who even gives a single fuck about southerners and their stupid southerner drama and their stupid southerner backstabbing and their stupid southerner politics and their stupid southerner throne? Fuck all of them, and their kings. There is only one king that's worth recognizing, and that is the King in the North who's name is STARK.
Did he deserve it?
KING IN DA NORF
CAM
if gurm meant brandon he would have said brandon and not the open-ended 'stark'.
>it makes virtually zero difference if lyanna wanted to go or not
It absolutely did.
There is a difference between two men fighting over a womans hand, and raping, abducting and dishonoring one.
>Tells Jon to keep Longclarw to pass down to his children, who would also be Dany's children
>Gets cucked out even of that
FOOK Souf F.C.
the skull on this lad
At that point Ned was free to marry whoever he wanted. It would make sense that Ashara killed herself because they planned to get married but then Brandon went and got himself killed and Ned had to marry Cat. Although there's a good chance Ashara is septa lemore
You probably think that Robb did nothing wrong marrying that Westerling girl
it doesn't matter in the sense that it's still an egregious slight against house stark by rhaegar
Wasnt Lyanna betrothed to Robert at the time? Running away with her and taking her maidenhead as such is a pretty big deal.
this is what sending your best and brightest to die in war for 2 straight generations will do to you
WWI and WWII doomed britain, the retards actually implemented a completely dysgenic drafting system so the worst of society were safe
DAS ROIT
FUCK DA SOUF
KANG IN DA NORF
It bred a superior race
And Raegar had a wife himself. Can't believe there are people who defend this whole r+l stupidity
Ah fookin' 'ate lannisters
>he retards actually implemented a completely dysgenic drafting system so the worst of society were safe
A what
He didn't, no.
It was a retarded thing to do, but not an objective wrong.
I can agree with this, but Brandon's problem at the time wasn't about his familys honour, but of Lyanna's sfaety. He would probably be less upset if he knew she wasn't harmed.
Agreed, but we aren't talking about Robert's or the others potential issues with this act, only Brandon's.
if gurm meant ned he would have said ned and not the open-ended 'stark'.
>He would probably be less upset if he knew she wasn't harmed.
sure but this is still 100% rhaegar's fault
I'd sell my soul to be Khal Draga's trusty horse.
opposite of eugenic
Nope, Brandon should have kept his cool and not do the stupid foolhardy shit he did.
Yes but what specifically did they do
the lack of knowledge of the situation was rhaegar's fault i mean
ofc brandon was rash considering the insane king and all
>tfw kind of forgot about having a whole family of rebel nobles into dungeons
>tfw check em out after one makes a petition
>tfw one daughter of them is 23 and has been in my dungeons for 22 years
>twf paranoid, lunatic, slow, most skills 0, lustful (prolly gave herself to guards for extra loaf of bread or something)
>tfw she doesn't even hate me that much, if I gave her gift she would like me
What do? Feel like she doesn't deserve to be there but she still got a claim and would be used like a tool by anyone who got a hand over her the minute she gets out, no happiness awaits her either way
>The High Sparrow could go into any brothel in kings landing
What brothel, mate? His Faith Taliban pretty much went full crusade on the pussy heathens.
R + L = J
N + A = YG
simple as
In what, not cumming in five seconds?
>British WW1 military deaths
>885,138
>British WW2 military deaths
>382,600
this is absolutely nothing compared to other countries, germany lost over 300,000 in stalingrad alone. also germany's initial standards of fitness were higher so they were probably losing better men to begin with.
they drafted people with perfect vision, no physical issues, high IQ, etc to start off the war
plus all the nationalistic types were the first to sign up voluntarily and sent into the meat grinder, hence why Europe is now filled with self-hating cucks with no national pride. It was a genetic cleansing
>the lack of knowledge of the situation was rhaegar's fault i mean
>ofc brandon was rash considering the insane king and all
Well then we completely agree then.
I'm not saying that Rhaegar wasn't a retarded pice of shit for what he did, i'm just saying that Brandon made the situation way worse than what it could have been.
Good. The seven are the best gods because they are the only ones who want to help the people.
They both deserve it, FUCK Krauts and FUCK Anglos
t. Dornish masterrace
move her to house arrest if you're feeling charitable.
>he's breeding
why is this allowed
R'hllor is the only god worth worshiping because he is the only god that is real. Keep your false idols.
The correct answer is to rape her obviously
Oh, right
Is it more likely that some scheming dude looking to use her claim gets her out tho?
Btfo’d by faegon. D&D love lena, that’s the only reason she got the story she did or lasted as long.
they're all real, take the vic pill and become a based retard.
Fire magic comes from the dragons. R'hllor is just a fairytale.
It isn't, when they take a wife the North usually invades
Female ruler atm, older surviving son (matrilineal) is 4yo so when she dies it won't be an option either for a long time :-/
Anyway it's the one character I feel sympathetic to in this gameplay
it is more likely but if her stats are that poor she's probably pretty low down the priority list for rescue.
Dragons can resurrect people from the dead?
Being killed by literally anoyone but stannis
Ah, ok, I'll try that then
thanks senpai
I've never read the books but the few excerpts some anons posted made me like him, Victardion is based
Not personally, but their existence makes mages more powerful, like the guy Dany sees making a ladder out of fire when a few months ago he could barely make a single rung
>killing your cute aunt instead of marrying her
what are you doing
>Sympathy
Remember what game you are playing, you have to go maximum edge constantly.
The red priests couldn't do that until the dragons came back. R'hllor is a way they explain their fire magic, not the source of it. Stop believing in fairy tales.
>he doesn't want a volcano arm
Praise R'hllor
Cause the authority of those that are actively serving cannot be undermined that much for the sake of an old maester of little use. He wasn't being sadistic, user.
>you have to go maximum edge constantly
not true, your vassals will rebel if you go full joff. you've got to be tough but fair.
I can find the WW with character finder (oldest dude around ofc), most of them died "natural death" over centuries and only one is still alive but he's outside of map, is that normal?
They're always off map unless the event where they invade fires, they also tend to refill their court eventually
Dragons only came back into the world because of the bleeding star. Dragons are a symptom of magic becoming strong again. They are not the cause. Are dragons being alive again the cause of the sudden resurgence of the Others? No. There is a deeper mystery at work here then "dude dragons lmao."
>There is a deeper mystery at work here
Yeah and because we'll never get an answer, the only thing we can assume is that magic is proportional to the amount of big macs in fatman's gut
Yeah and I'm sure it's all because of your dumb sky daddy.
>faceless man religion
>braavosi culture
youtube.com
Perfectly normal unless they're invading.
fuck off (((maester)))
yeah, ned and robert had been fostered at jon arryn's pad for a while by that point. he saw them as his own kids.
he wasn't going to hand over his kids to some lunatic knowing they'd get roasted over a spitfire like some boar.
you may call me BRAIN CHILD.
based and odinic
Why do Targfags insist that not all Targaryens are insane? Rhaegar is a perfect example of an insane idiot. He followed muh prophecy, kidnapped a Lord Paramount's bethroted and brought his entire house to ruin. Aegon the Unlikely is another classified good Targ, and he burned his family alive in some vain ambition to hatch dragons.
what is the original text of this meme?
Maester Aemon was pretty based
Because they aren't all crazy. Aemon and Egg were perfectly fine for example.
If I remember right it's a Roman writing about Germanic tribes
It's about the degrees of insanity, just about all Targs have been "eccentric", Baelor was absolutely fucking nuts for example but he didn't really hurt anyone, the mad Targ thing is more about ubercunts like Maegor and Aerys
i don't think so, tacitus wrote something very similar about some tribes in the north east who were apparently still basically hunter gatherers, but it's not the same.
Duncan was impossibly based, i don't care what anyone says.
It's from Warhammer 40K, it's about the Orks
NU
Watching Brienne BTFO Loras and the fag guard and Renly getting stabbed for "Pride Month" lads

I finished got last night. The entire 8th season fell flat blah blah nobody cares. My question, how would you end the series?
An hour and a half of the entire cast and crew raping Sansa
wrong pic
