Oh trust me id love if they connected the seasons and brought back the sex cult elements from the first 2 seasons but i truly believe that was just there to subvert expectations. As for your second question, assuming they stick with two partners instead of an ensemble like the second season id really love if Jared Harris amd Ciarin Hinds starred as 2 grizzled old detectives they can make anything kino.

Its very different but quality nontheless. Season 1 is a very well done southern gothic/supernatural type story while season 2 is a very well done neo-noir.

Season 3 is a lot more like 1, but if you're expecting conspiracy shit and that's what you liked about the first season it will probably disappoint you. Skip any scenes of Hays talking to his wife, there's too many of them and they amount to absolutely nothing.
