What's the last kino you saw

For me it's Creed 2

I rewatched A Brighter Summer Day - and don't call flicks "kino", OP.

don't be's hatin on my kino nigguh

The man who killed don Quixote was the last truly great film I saw.

I thought creed two was alright but I was annoyed that it was just rocky 3

Creed had literally no narrative to support his reason to win.The russian who trained all his life needed the win to clean his family name but instead we get this dumb nigger winning because he has a baby and a deaf nigger wife?
pointless movie that tried to ride off the first ones souls

>Son who is fighting for his father's legacy takes the one task his legendary father could not complete

nice try user, but this was kino

the baby was also deaf

So was the tone

You could also frame it as rich kid born with the silver spoon keeps poor people down

>rich kid
>sat in juvie for all his childhood

Wrong

Made me want a boiled egg
7/10

Either Memories of Murder or Death Poets Society

Underrated post.

Was this good? I'm undecided on watching it, because I liked Creed 1 so much.

>fathers wife bailed him out
>first time we see him as an adult he’s a successful stock broker

I liked the first creed for that narrative since it was something the rocky series didn’t do. Creed 2 did nothing new or interesting with its plot and his desperation at getting MrT for the third movie shows there are no new ideas for him

They doubled down on the family moments, could be a turn off for some people. Overall I enjoyed it, Viktor was great and a true beast and his ring music was fucking amazing.

Kinda wish Creed had a better training montage. Overall, very worth a watch if you're a fan of the first one.

It’s not bad and the action was good but the plot wasn’t nearly as good as the first. They should’ve given more time to the antagonist but they wasted a lot of time getting creed the belt as fast as they could

if you are a fan of the series, it's a must watch

could use some improvement...

>fathers wife bailed him out
>first time we see him as an adult he’s a successful stock broker
>forgetting that he still had to fight for a position in that job
>forgetting that he had to fight for even getting a tiny chance in boxing

Creed 2 was a perfect follow up for Creed 1 even if you are to blind to see it. It changed adonis from "nothing to lose, everything to win" to a "everything to lose, little to win" which was depicted really well in the movie

I was really impressed by the camera work in both films, especially the fights. Did not expect such level of mastery in a sport film of all places.

The first fight between Donnie and Wheeler where Donnies gets fucking rekt and the shot of him hitting the floor in a full 90 was fucking great.

>rocky three was the perfect follow up to creed one

The movie was a mess of references and misplaced sentimentality. They spent to much time on a boring title fight at the beginning and to little time giving his supporting cast emotional motivation to stop him from fighting drago. It really felt like they skipped a movie in his development

>They spent to much time on a boring title fight at the beginning
>Literally fight for the heavyweight title, the same title that his father had
>to little time giving his supporting cast emotional motivation to stop him
>Only rocky and his mother told him not to fight him beacause they knew the danger. Everyone else expected a win basically.
>It really felt like they skipped a movie in his development
>the movie had nothing else to show except that he was finally becoming a respected boxing champion between both movies. That was the point of the first scene in the movie.

Explain to me how it was not a perfect follow up. The claims about his developments are factually wrong, and the rest of the cast around him was great too. The movie is not perfect, it needed some more scenes and a little fine tweaking to become a perfect movie

>to become a perfect movie
>perfect movie
shill please kys

>literally only a handful of flaws in the movie
>perfect movie = a movie without flaws

Nigga he got a title fight as his debut fight in the first movie, we never got to see him hungry just aching for a connection with his father. This movie just said “fuck it everyone loves him” we never got to see how he felt at the top, he should’ve gotten the title from drago or actually lost the title to drago, not having either just showed there was never a chance that creed would lose.

Also did you like the subtle reference that his wife was wearing the same outfit as Adrian in Rocky 1? I’m not saying the movie was terrible, just disappointing and kinda bland. Also Michel b Jordan has no chin, had no real effect on the movie for me just something I noticed

First movie sucked. Second was Kino when Viktor and Ivan were on screen. Tessa Thompson ruins everything she is in and MBJ is a wet blanket

solid van damme kino 7/10

His first proffessional fight in the movie was against an amature in rocky's boxing academy, let's not forget that he fought underground in mexico for about 30 fights.
The reason he got in a fight with "pretty boy" was because that prertty boy needed money quick and easy, he knew that he would mop the floor with creed, get an easy win and earn alot from marketing. It's explained perfectly in the movie how he got in the fight for the title.

>he should’ve gotten the title from drago or actually lost the title to drago, not having either just showed there was never a chance that creed would lose

He has already lost before and a loss wasn't needed in this movie. He got put through something much more worse than a loss against drago. Also if Drago won that fight, the rematch between drago and creed would never happen.

Also yes, the refrences were cool, especielly the mirroring of the engagement scenes

>Also Michel b Jordan has no chin

Duhh, that's why compensates with his body
