De Palma has a new movie out today and no one cares. Sure DOMINO looks paint-by-numbers but De Palma uses high quality paint! Most people have to settle for VOD because there are only about 300 people worldwide who would prioritize a ROLL OUT to see it theatrically.
Reasons to be worried about DOMINO: >it's 89 min (including end credits and European funding agency logos) >DePalma has been trash-talking the producers and their cut >The last movie called DOMINO (Tony Scott) was hell on earth
Armond White already gave his seal of approval. I unironically didn't even know DePalma still made movies until I saw his tweet.

>Jamie Lannister and Melly Sanders i guess i can't say no to this
William Turner
De Palma is pretty kino

>murder can lead to deadlier crimes What crimes are deadlier than murder?
Caleb Taylor
It's about ISIS in Copenhagen, so I guess terrorism.
Aiden Baker
thought crimes

But you can’t get a crime deadlier than murder, terrorists are still just murdering people at the end of the day on top of other crimes
Also why does it say “From the director of Mission: Impossible” when he has so many more well known films under his belt? Think that poster is just too terrible for me to handle
nope lol. M:I is a 25 year long franchise that made billions. The movie is also clearly about similar shit. Why would you put Scarface on there instead of M:I?
Wyatt Jackson
wtf the villains are muslims? now I get why journalists don't like it

There are two kinds of De Palma fans: the ones who are on board for nearly everything including SCARFACE and the ones who are on board for nearly everything *except* SCARFACE (I'm in the former). I liked SCARFACE when I first saw it on pay tv in the 80s: I think much of the contempt for the film amongst some De Palma Heads is related to issues outside the film itself (fans who venerate the Tony Montana ethos, the framed SCARFACE posters, etc) which I never had to navigate. A De Palma movie where I break with consensus is that I was disappointed by MISSION IMPOSSIBLE as a whole. Good sequences though! When it was new I convinced myself Woo's MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2 was better, though I have since climbed down from that unreasonable position
>be Brian De Palma >be accomplished director >known for literal all time classics >last movie anyone saw was Mission To Mars, did several movies after that which existence no one even noticed
How the mighty have fallen. The trailer looks like absolute garbage.
Matthew Barnes
scarface is the only de palma movie I like
Michael Morales
Blame capekino

These movies came out before the MCU. The only thing after 2000 people might have a knowledge about is Black Dahlia, wtf is Redacted, Passion and Femme Fatale? Those are literal "who?" movies no one saw and they don't seem to be that good either.
