If it's heavily/outright implied they had sex, then yes.

It sometimes doesn't really seem like any of it matters, or characters are just doing things with no consistency, but the more you understand the characters and get exposed to them, it suddenly makes everything they do feel enjoyable. Really fleshed out and it's what makes them feel more real.

The only thing that compares to Mad Men for me is Twin Peaks. I keep looking for something else that scratches that deep existential itch and haven't found it yet. True Detective s1 was close, but with it's runtime it's more of a movie and while some movies scratch the itch they just don't have enough runtime to create a world you feel like you can curl up in.
I like stuff like Evangelion and The Prisoner but they don't have the characters to make it work, they're more like intellectual exercises. Literature sometimes gets close, the book Train Dreams was a recent find thats near the big two, but cinema can just tap the emotions so much easier with it's music and acting and visuals.
