How will 5G effect the film business?

Speeds faster than broadband. Streaming and downloading films in a matter of ministers now

I've seen a couple of posts talking about how 5G is really evil and will negatively affect all of us. Is any of this true?

>A full length 8GB film can be downloaded in six seconds.

Yet Yea Forums will still not watch it and oriented to have seen it

>5G

Attached: dog_of_wisdom.jpg (680x384, 38K)

it's 4g on steroids, of course it's harmful

its a sham, you need antennas on every fucking street corner to make it work. Another thing is that you don't even need that fuck fast of mobile speeds, you have internet at home why do you need 4k high quality internet on the go.

>Effect
Learn the difference between affect and effect kiddo

Not sure how it would affect the film industry.
5G here in the UK requires you to be on a phone contract that gives you access to Mobile Data, which if you get it with a new phone plus unlimited texts+minutes will start costing you upwards of £30 a month. Unlimited mobile date could easily add another £10 to that, so unless you want to pay through the nose, it seems like a way to download stuff faster and not replace home broadband.
It's been on the news over here and the BBC keeps saying how "ooh, you can download a film in seconds, rather than minutes" like it's a big deal. Having to wait a minute for something to download is one of the most minor inconveniences in my life.

Maybe tech upgrades are essentially a nostalgia at this point to when it mattered.

Doubly not sure it matters if companies still artificially slow their devices.

Best it can do for me is out 3-4G prices down.

Vable cutting, thats why. Hopefully it'll make the fixed line companies up their game.

>minister
>oriented to have seen it
>Vable cutting
can you phonefags just fuck off already

>A full length 8GB film can be downloaded in six seconds.
Completely meaningless if data caps are kept as low as they are now.
And believe me, they will be.

It won’t
also get a better source than the fucking daily mail you fucking spastic

I'm more concerned about other things it could effect

>cable cutting

dude, 5g is literally worse then cable or anything we've had this entire decade. Only the brain dead support 5g and think it will accelerate a wireless future. It will be maybe a near 10 years best for us to switch off cable.

also this, why do people think that mobile companies wont keep data caps cause they made it faster, matter of a fact they might charge even more because of said faster data speeds.

This. If anything all 5G does is let you blow through your monthly 8gb of data faster than ever before.
What's the point of being able to download a film in "seconds" when even 3G was good enough to start streaming and watching instantly?

Have you watched Chernobyl? Then you have a pretty good idea of what 5G will do to people living near 5G transcievers.

>he can’t afford more than 8gb a month
Nigga data is cheap, three do unlimited data for like twenty quid a month

>5G will melt people’s skin
You’re delusional. Next you’ll be telling me RBMK reactors can explode.

>double my monthy bill for something I have at home
Vodafone does it for £10 and gives me a free coffee every now and then. 3's service stops existing once you leave a city.

I live in the american south i barely get 4g service still, we dont even have a public bus system 5g is still 20 years away for me :(

>super fast 5G
>gives you 2 gigabyte monthly allowance

Heh nothing personal kid

guys like this are the same ones who said why do you need internet on the go. why do you need phones on the go. why do you need radio on the go

5g gives you cancer.

Just like this thread

Sounds like freedom

I'll wait for 6g

You should be more concerned with how it impacts your brain.

Nigaa some of us rent and the house boss ain't want fiber optic, 5g is great. No need to break up mu street.

Im not like that at all, you're a fool if you think this shit is good for any consumer. You'll just blow through your data. I cant wait for retards spending hundreds of dollars more and complaining saying why is my cap out. If lte works why break it and replace it with something even worse.

Better internet plans exist that go faster then the cheap 40 dollar plan, ever try looking on your isp plan. 5g is dumb and is broken as fuck we need more time, fuck racing with china it will only lead to both of us losing billions.

Research has shown that 5G is extremely dangerous and carcinogenic. It also causes cognitive dysfunction, so theoretically it would stunt the IQ development of children.

Tinfoil hat detected, this only happens when one is right next to the antenna. A fire for example is dangerous too when you are a centimeter away. 5g is harmless otherwise. Don't watch too many conspiracy theories.

won't affect me at all. i've got 10GiB/s already

Fuck off with the niggerspeak

are you retarded? they want to install antennas everywhere

This despite the fact 5g is not ionising radiation, apparently
5g is associated with detrimental effects on mental health however

>In another letter written by Dr. Martin Pall, a biochemistry professor at the Washington State University discussed the severe biological and health effects resulting from 5G, stating that the current FCC guidelines are inadequate, obsolete, and in favor of telecommunications industry.

>Dr. Pall also believes that there may be major ill-effects in long run after 5G implementation such as blindness, hearing loss, skin cancers, male infertility and thyroid issues.
>Surprisingly, FCC’s perspective on 5G is different and is making sure that the technology is deployed at the earliest. Instead of laying out strong and effective guidelines, the agency’s efforts are towards developing a legislature that will prevent local governments from restricting the implementation of 5G.

>Apart from 5G specific studies, there are numerous other researches that show evidence of harmful effects of low-intensity, extremely high electromagnetic radiation on animals.

im not saying anything bad to you, but take a look at this
medicaldaily.com/5g-health-effects-dangers-new-wireless-technology-exposed-434419

Faster internet is worth the dumbing down of society. Great progress requires great sacrifices. Evolution will kill those that can't handle 5g, and a thick headed and thick skinned radiation proof human will evolve.

4g is already faster than a lot of fibre connections. The problem is that coverage is still shit, there's only a few areas you get good 4g signal

>he thinks he will be able to pirate movies

A biochemistry expert. Pointless. Tell me when a electrical engineer, physicist, or someone with a greater understanding of electromagnetics warns us. This guy can only solve chemistry questions or draw a cell.

Attached: 6ee.jpg (491x491, 43K)

Just enjoy the faster internet it will bring. The high quality films, 4k resolution streaming without a hitch. Why would any human not want this?

Tell me how an electrical engineer is more qualified to study the health effects of 5G than a fucking biochemist you absolute retard.

Why would anyone want brain cancer?

Heh, so not great but not terrible.

Because anything to do with creating EM waves through the application of electricity is their expertise. 5g is one of those. They can calculate the amount of radiation it will cause and if it will cause harm to the human body. 5G is designed by electrical engineers.

Cancer is 100% genetic. Cancer having environmental causes is a lie made by big medical and other influencers of the market.

shill

Attached: 1b0.jpg (1004x1024, 105K)

>and if it will cause harm to the human body
I think you'll find that's exactly where the biochemists come in champ

>It's an "engineer thinks he's a super genius in every field" episode

You are completely deluded.

The only good thing about 5G is that it will kill everyone living in a major city. World is overpopulated anyway.

Why did the 5G consortium have skin reclassified as a "limb" in the new guidelines for radiation testing?

shill btfo, I really hope that once in life people will wake up and destroy 5G towers in their neighborhoods

5G is chinese. We need to cut ties with chinese people and with China.

Because people aren't aborting, shooting, transitioning or killing enough, and population control is hip right now. In dense populations, this shit is an effective killer, especially if the telecom infrastructure is good.

Especially in murican cities, where it's possible to just run into a dead zone with 0 reception. The American communication infrastructure is effectively held together by some duct tape and a lot of hope. The implementation of 5g in America would either require piggy backing off originally existing cell towers (which would require physical upgrade of hardware, and a strong hope that the 5g won't fuck up 4g and less) or the erection of new ones (which would require construction companies, material companies, etc). It's not something as simple as attaching an antenna on every street corner. A 5g conversion would not be as fast nor as cheap as the FCC would want. Oh and the wonderful thing known as both sides of the aisle not wanting 5g. Shit, the cell companies would jack up prices to cover the conversion, which is something no one wants.

That's how fucking shit the American Telecom infrastructure is.

youtube.com/watch?v=3Nr-CFJJYB0

Good for streaming but what device out there can write to disk that fast?
I have gigabit fiber running at theoretical max and even my SSD's can't keep up

It's turning our frogs gay.

>data caps

Must suck to live in a third world country.

You fucking idiot. Yes. Cancsr is genetic. Your genes can be effected and mutated to cancer by the enviroment. Bilogical. Chemical. Radiological. They all mutate genes. Viruses, carcinogenic chemicals, harmful radiation. Where the fuck do you think cancer comes from? What do you think it is? It is your genes being kutates. Sure, you can inherit healtheir genes that as less likely to mutate. Yet even the healthiest genes exposed to sources of cancer will mutate eventually.

You don't even need a colege degree in bio to know that. At this point it is taught in grade school.

> sealed petri dish with human cells in it
> tape a 5G transmitter on top of it
> petri dish is completely sterilized in 100 hours

gee i sure do wonder what the electrical engineer has to say about this, after all, electromagnetism is just a theory!
nigger

>The American communication infrastructure is effectively held together by some duct tape and a lot of hope.
Hey now. We got some bubblegum and paper clips in there too.

I can't even make a phone call from my house nevermind get 4G, I'm still operating on 0.5mbps dl dsl. Fibre has been a pipedream for the last ten years. Why should anyone give a fuck about 5G in the major cities when they have ultrafast fibre

Is this real?

normie fags with fiber internet only use phones. most of them dont even know wtf a cat cable is. Yet again the least deserving receive the most.

EE (The BT Group in practice) think rolling out 5G is the future when in reality they've been reducing mast coverage for the last few years and leaving areas of poor infrastructure even worse off. They should fix their existing problems but they want to chase the next big money racket

You should feel lucky. You are one of the few who will survive the next few years. Everyone within radius of a 5G death ray will be dead in a year.

They're also the first ones to pay £100 a month of a phone contract to give them 100gb dl of which they use maybe 10% off in usuage. Then they complain when they realise they got stiffed.

>Former EE call centre wage slave

What can we do about this tho?
Maybe the fact that you have to install this crappy antennas every 10 feet will deem the entire project to be a failure r-right?

You sound like my demented grandma who believed you could get cancer from not closing the microwave door after you took the food out.

It's fucking hilarious that we have all these retarded environmental groups in the UK like Extinction Rebellion demanding we stop using airplanes to save the environment but not a single fucking one is asking for an investigation into the effects of 5G on the environment.

>leaving areas of poor infrastructure even worse off
They're a private company and they don't care about an area if it can't make them any/enough money
